About 6 months ago I saw a post trying to gather feedback regarding Pro/Markup but there were no responses to this thread. So I'm attempting to find out if anyone is still using Pro/Markup. We're trying to understand if it can be removed now that Creo Elements/View (ProductView) has good markup capabilities. If you are using it:Who uses it?What would make it better?If you are not using it, still let us know.Why are you not using it?Was it missing functionality?Any other feedback you have is welcome!Regards,RosemaryCreo Product Manager

Hi Everyone,I'm new to the community so please take it easy on me but I'm currently working on a project and I need some help. My colleague had previously used solidworks to create SLDPRT file for the project I'm working on, however he will no longer be working with us and nobody on my team has access to solidworks so I was wondering if anyone could teach me how to convert a SLDPRT file into a regular PRT file so that I may test the object using promechanica? Hallo,wenn ich aus einem 2D-Objekt ein 3D-Objekt erstellen möchte in dem ich auf die Arbeitsfläche klicke, bekomme ich immer die Fehlermeldung: Fehler bei Aktion preselect/signal bzw. pull/signal wenn ich es über rechte Leiste versuche. Desweiteren bekomme ich beim Laden eines Projekts (z.B. das Printer Beispiel) die Fehlermeldung "1" aufgrund eines Grafikfehlers gesperrt Signal received: -1. Does anybody know how Pro figures the drill and tapped depth for a hole? I am adding a M16 tapped hole in a steel plate. A M16 x 1 gives a drill depth of 45 and tapped depth of 36, M16 x 1.5 gives a drill depth of 43.5 and tapped depth of 34.8 and a M16 x 2 gives a drill depth of 42 and tapped depth of 33.6.Obviously there is some relation based on the pitch.Using WF4Thanks

Hi all,I am using Pro/E WF5 M050 for modelling. While modelling I am facing rendering problem.Pro/E is taking too much time for rendering edges of the model/planes, which is hitting performace badly.Can anybody help me in this? How I can improve my rendering?Is there any way to improve performace of Pro/E?I am using Windows 7 x64 with 4GB ram.

This past week our parent company re-evaluated the policy of transmitting CAD/CAM files between all subsidiaries and customers. In the interest of protecting our valuable intellectual property, a new policy has been mandated."3D Viewer files are not allowed to transfer/transmitted as they can be utilized, together with other CAD systems to get detailed technical information."This includes eDrawings. We've always published our eDrawings with the measurement capabilities disabled, but how can we be sure that it's really enough to secure our engineering information files? Can you move the WF 5 message window to the bottom of the screen? I don't see how to do that now?

We have been using the SmartLibrary for 5 years. Since moving to Wirldfire 5 we have been experiencing problems with the notes for the hole callouts. Sigmaxim claims it is a PTC problem and PTc says it is a Sigmaxim problem. I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same or similar problems and had a fix for it.thanks, Kevin

Between creo/pro, direct and view there are currently several file types with extensions. (.asm, .prt, .drw, .pkg, .pvs, .ed, .ol, and whatever else I missed)Will creo just have one file type with a single extension like “.cre”?Will creo be limited in filenaming conventions like the pro element is?Will creo eliminate the need for a background cadworker publishing viewables on the wintralink server?Joe

I have noticed Pro/E creating OUT files, TST files, IDX files in my working directory. Why? And are they necessary? Normally I just delete them.

We just went live with v7 M100 of Division Productview. We are primarily using the Thin clientwith a few <%5 seats of Thick.
