Is it possible to make a flat straight leaf spring flexible and bend about an edge. Like a cantilever beam.

I have a customer who is interested in running Pro/E using a CITRIX Server environment. Wanted to see if anyone has been successful doing this and how difficult is it to implement & maintain? They are looking this as a solution for users to remote access to a server and only have low end computers at their cubicles. Also, they want to limit loading Pro/E client software on thier office desktops @ the cubicle.They are currently running Wildfire 4 and looking to go to Wildfire 5 in next year. They have PDMLink 9.X for data management.Thanks,Jon

Hi Folks,Still getting used to this forum method rather than the email Exploder.At the 2010 conference in Orlando we were told that PTC ignores enhancement requests in their present format. This was explained as them have something like 35,000 of them so it is an overwhelming task with no way to filter just what is popular or useful.We were told that this Planet PTC forum would introduce some sort of way of getting people to participate in (effectively to vote on) which ideas were most valuable in terms of getting them into future builds or releases. I have not seen anything on this site about this yet so I am going to post some enhancements I thought about early this year (when I was looking at WF5 for introduction) and hope that it prompts some useful discussion and maybe feedback from PTC on how this process is going to run.Regards, Brent Drysdale.

I'm considering getting Pro E Wildfire 5.0 but I collaborate with associates still using 4.0. While using 5.0, can I save files in 4.0 format? Or, is there an easy way to convert 5.0 files to 4.0 format?Aaron

Ineed the grooves as accurate as possible, so I assume grinding would bethe best option.Does anyone know of a grinding shop (in the US) that might be able tohandle this sort of work?Any and all leads are appreciated. Hi all, can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong in my use of user defined features. I read in the help notes that udf's are dependant upon the source model if the "subordinate" option is taken, so why if i make a change to that source model does the udf not reflect that change, ie. does not update, is there a specific way of regenerating the udf?RegardsJohn

Right now I'm busy with creating a solifd model that I like to use as a cutting tool.I like to add the feed and speed to this tool So the tool every field in the tab with feed and speed.I mean the tab from the cutting toolsIs it possible to do this?

Windchill/Pro users, I have setup a new computer with Windows 7 64-bit and Wildfire 4.0 M120 64-bit and Windchill 9.0 M050. It took me a few tries to get everything to work together, but the only issue that I have left is the font.We use a "special" font that we created that makes the I's and 1's look different.When I start Pro/E without connecting to Windchill the font file loads in correctly, but if I start Pro/E and then connect to Windchill the font file does not load correctly and all my I's and 1's look the same.Has anyone seen this before? I just noticed that the latest version of wildfire that I'm able to download is wildfire 5PTC has just changes the format of how software downloads show up.Is Wildfire 5 the latest beta version avaible?ThanksDon Anderson

WF4, M080Is there a way to re-use the explode state already set up in a sub assy in a higher level assy?Say I have assy A with a bunch of parts and sub assy B.  I want to create an explode state in A and show B exploded as well.  An explode state already exists in B, how can I reuse it?Thanks,Doug Schaefer

I've got a partial area cross-section where the boundary spline displays incorrectly. I can't do anything outside of erasing the spline boundary and sketching a spline to close it correctly.I've attached a picture of the view.

It doesn't appear that it's possible to just update a specific file shared to a project. Hello,When I draw a pair of circles in a sketch and try to connect them with a line, and use "Impose sketch constraints on the section," then choose "Make two entitities tangent" and select a circle and the line, the line becomes tangent to the first circle. However, when I go to repeat this on the second circle, a "resolve sketch" dialog box pops up listing 2 conflicting constraints:1) Point on entity (line to first circle)2) Point on entity (line to second circle)I don't see why I cannot make the line tangent to the second circle?Thanks,Mike
