Unless I'm missing somthing, it would be very convienient to be able to specify a letter, number, or fractional drill when using the hole tool. I'm tempted to start compiling my own hole table, but I don't have the time. Is there any way to specify a standard drill hole? I know ProE notes specify the standard drill size in the thread notes, so somewhere there is a table of values.
how are phantom dimensions removed from view in sketch mode?
Hi Sometime when I import DXF files into ProE,I discover after a while, that some of the dimensions changed (overall length, hole positions) though just by a few mm. Is there some setting that I am not using that I should be? Thx
Hi, I am looking for a symbol library for valves(solenoid valve, globe valve...),Equipments(Screw pump, air Blower, Reciprocating air compressor...)vessels(vapour liquid seperator...). It will be great if some one guides me in regards. Thanks in Advance
I opened a ticket with PTC and they told me there is no way to do what Iwant to do. As several people mentioned, you can make multiple shortcuts but that requires killing Pro/E which is even more laborious thanjust using a mapkey. The best solution that I figured out was to run a trail file uponlaunching Pro/E that opens the open dialog box, browses to my workingdirectory and then closes that dialog box. Pro/E will "remember" thelast place that you browsed to so in effect this solves my problem. Theonly problem is that it doesn't work in a linked session at launchbecause the linked session prompts for a password which the trail filedoes not capture. I guess you can't have everything. Thanks for all of the responses. Chris
According to the help screen you should be able to open soid works files in pro-e 5.0. I do not see the solid works file types listed. Does anyone know the status of this funciton?
Does anyone have any documents detailing their skeleton processes (i.e. creation and use of skeletons) that they would be willing to share? We are attempting to standardize our process and would like to see how others are creating and using skeletons. Thanks in advance. Dan Roby Senior Designer AAR Mobility Systems droby@aarcorp.com

How do you make the lines for the Flat-to-screen title block shown in this Wildfire 4.0 presentation? http://www.ptc.com/WCMS/files/51307/en/layers_in_combined_states.swf I can apply the text easily, but I do not see an option to add the lines to create the title block. Please help. Thank you.
When creating a point on a sphere Pro/E lets you define only two offset references. This is silly, it does not fully define the position of the point and it is making an assumption that it is not letting me define. How do you fully define the position of the point on the sphere?
How do you model a mandrel bend? As in attached image.I'm thinking:1. Solid cut + solid revolve2. model as surfaces, then thickenYou got a better way?

I am trying to group 10 or so symbols on top of each other so I can turn them on and off. Is this possible?
I get the daily summary email instead of individual emails from the proecad list. Every once in a while, the daily digest is missing a number of entries. Yesterday's summary started at message #1 and the next one was #36. What happened to the 34 in between? Has anyone else been experiencing this?Jeff
Attached pic shows why you need a 3rd constraint. The two points have the EXACT same constraints, yet are in two different places... Where is the other definition?

What about multiple load steps and finite friction?. now in WF 5 we got plastic material analysis for small strain, what about large strain plastic deformation?.... I believe that multiple load steps will be a issue even for WF5.has some one a clue?.P.D I have not yet installed WF5, but I don't find ANY information about this new plastic analysis in the PTC support search engineDoes any body have something to share about this new functionality.
Does any body now what sort of enhancements will come with mechanical WF6?where we can discuss enhacements for this vertion?... and being heard by someone from the PTC technical group?.Regards.
Does anyone know the secret to creating a motion skeleton body with a pin joint as the connection. All I have been able to get is ball joints, and I don't want to use two ball joints to define a hinge when a single pin joint should do.Chris Trummer
