All,We are looking to upgrade to 4.0 in the short term. I am looking tostart testing the release and I see that build M050 is available. So myquestion is, are any of you using this build? Gurus of the solid bend; or in PTC speak, bend solid, One of my work colleagues is having a problem and I don't know what theanswer is. He has some text on a flattened quilt which he will betransferring to the solid body as a cut out. To this end he has a sketchof the text extruded both sides of the quilt. However, when he performsthe solid bend, for some reason the text is flipping so the letters aremirrored - fine for Leonardo but not what our customer wants. This isnot something that he and I have never seen nor can we find thereason/solution. Has anybody seen this before? Thanks, Richard A. Has anyone had any success downloading Wildfire5? I've looked on the software update area on the PTC website and WF5 is not there. We are fully payed up on our maintenance, so I can't understand why I can't see it.Any ideas anyone?CheersJeff

Like many of you I have spent years cleaning up Pro-E items. The eternal quest to eliminate such things as Circular Refs and Ghost Objects. Now the bean counters ask me: Why spend the time doing all that extra work? We can still release the parts so why can’t we just leave them alone? Can you give me your answers to these questions? How bad are these items? What is their impact to component cost? What happens if you just leave them alone?Curtis Odom

Hello Nuno, There are also trainings and tutorials on TDO available in PTC.com, however I strongly recomend that you check out PTC University. Hallo in die Runde, ich habe mir gerade CoCreating Moddeling Personal Edition heruntergeladen, doch beim ersten Start des Programmes kommt die meldung, OLAPE hat ein Problem festgestellt, un muss beendet werden. I am attempting to create a curvature continuous style curve that closely follows and references two arcs. Essentially, the new style curve will run through the arcs and provide a transition between them. I'm having trouble with the final result as it has unwanted inflections. Both arcs are convex and I essentially want a curvature continuous radius between them. Any suggestions?

I am trying to use the PTCViewer control in an asp.net page, but am running into a persistent problem. The page loads fine, and the control renders the image correctly -- but when I close the page, it seems to "hang" the browser until I manually end the task. There is nothing else going on with the page (no load/unload events, no other controls, etc.). It happens every time with both IE6 and IE7. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm curious about how Mechanica treats a load distributed on a beam. I have a beam-based trailer frame I'm analyzing, and I came up with someunexpected results (see the attached picture). I was not expecting the stress in the center beam to be so much lower thanthe of the frame - in fact, I was expecting it to be higher. Closerinspection of the results show a stress of under 500 psi in this beam. IKNOW that aint' right. I'm going to re-run the analysis, substituting the one distributed load withmany smaller point loads, but in the meantime, can anyone tell me why thisis behaving this way? Hello,It's Maintenance time and this year, I get to be involved.  I'm looking at what we own vs. the available packages (Foundation, Advanced and Enterprise) to make sure we aren't paying for more or less than we need.  The PTC web site gives a general overview of what's in each package, but it's not specific, that I've found.  Is there a document that shows what specific modules (Pro|Assy, Pro|Detail, Pro|Report, etc) are included in each package?  That would be very helpful.Thanks,Doug Schaefer

I am looking to implement some standards into hole features using WF4, in this case blind holes. I would like to specify the thread length for blind holes and have a relation (or something) that adds a fixed value to determine the correct drill depth. I do not see how to do this by customizing the .hol files, but I am hoping there is a way.IE for 1/4-20 UNC drill_depth=tap depth+.2505/16-18UNC drill_depth=tap_depth+.278etc.This will then drive pro/manufacture later in the process. Please advise what others are doing to make this work as robust as possible.Thanks,Bill ChapmanSencon
