The fix to resurrect ptc_common_name will be available in both WF3 and WF4. It will be available in family tables as ?Common Name? (for both searching and when adding / removing columns). Additionally, it will be available in repeat regions as a report ?parameter? wherever the [name] parameter exists currently. The fix is planned for Wildfire 3.0 M160, and Wildfire 4.0 M040. Thanks, Mark
Pro-Gurus,Wildfire 3.0I have created a length of pipe that includes two bends. I originallycreated the pipe as a constant radius but would like to go back afterthe fact and change it to variable radius - I can't because it is greyedout. Do I have to go back into the points and delete them and recreatepoints? I am hoping there is a simple solution that I am missing. Thanks,Nick
I can not access the Pro-e forum directly, is anybody having this issue at the moment?
Anybody know where I can find a model of Industrilas "Vector" style doorlatches? -- Lyle BeidlerMGS Inc178 Muddy Creek Church RdDenver PA 17517717-336-7528 Fax 717-336-0514-
I have made a few custom cycles based off of the example in the help area of ptc. I want to do basically the same hole making sequence that they are doing in the example but I will have more the on reference point to change feed. I believe that I have the reference and variables correct but am unsure of the expressions as well as the cycle syntax. Does someone have more info on custom cycles so I can better understand them?
Is everyone else having trouble connecting to this forum? I found this back way in to post, but cannot connect to read other posts.
I guess nobody's had this happen before. Weird.
How do you create a slot connection? One that allows you to slide an object along a path but limiting it's travel by specifying a start and end point. I used to be abel to do this in 2.0, but am running Wildfire 3.0, M030.Thank you,Thomas HallMechanical Designer301 Fountain Lakes Industrial Dr.Saint Charles, MO 63301Email: <u>

Dear friends In Pro E 2001 a very advance and helpful command 2Projections, My question is where is in WF3. Thanks[/b]
Thanks everyone for the quick responses.Read-only affects regen time. Features that are read only do not get regenerated, therefore greatly reducing regeneration times. Thanks,Stefan
Hi, allI need know what type of optimization method is used in BMX. From one sorce I know that it could be simplex optimization method, but there exists two methods with that name (simplex method). First one is simplex method from Dantzing for solving problem of linear programing. Second one is downhill simplex method from Nelder-Mead for optimising large scale uncostrained problems. Which one is used in BMX or another one? Thanks, for all rep.SlavoM

I'm curious to hear any experiences any of you have had using SigMaxim'sSmartAssembly? Good, bad, worth the money? Any feedback is welcome. :bleh: http://www.imagehut.eu/images/90500Meldung.JPG
Does anyone know where I can find the dimensions or a 3d model of a Wankel (rotary piston) engine or is anyone willing to share the info? I am trying to make a Wankel style Stirling (heat differential) engine. Any ideas would be appreciated....
Thanks a lot for those who replied to my survey!Out of 9 people who reply, 5 of them are using maximum values ,3 are usingnominal values and 1 (max for purely electronic component & nominal forelectro-mechanical components).
I'm using WF3 I've two layers hidden, one contains surfaces &amp; the other one contains curves, if I have the model in &quot;hidden line&quot; or &quot;no hidden&quot; modes they don't show, as they sup suppose to, but if I switch to &quot;wirefrane&quot; &amp; &quot;shading&quot; mode, the surfaces and curves in the hidden layers are shown. What to do? Or this is another one from PTC, when they take something that had been working forever and stop working with a new version.
Ok, so I used the search tool to save a whole bunch of dimensions to aQuery, and it says"Layer created" etcSo now I have these layers, with all my dimensions in them, in the LayerTree. Maybe I'm missing something basic here, but how do I go back later and usethe saved query or these layers to quickly & easily modify these dimensions? -- Lyle BeidlerMGS Inc178 Muddy Creek Church RdDenver PA 17517717-336-7528 Fax 717-336-0514-
Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm going to have to run through andapply several of these to see what best suits us. Here are some of thedifferent methods for achieving this.
