Guru's, I'm thinking of buying a new spaceball to replace my old, trusty 3003FLXand am wondering if anyone has any recommendations. I demo'd a SpacePilot several months ago, but at the time, was using version 2001,which, it seemed to me at least, the Pilot wasn't set up for. None ofthe presets seemed to work. Also, I don't know if I was that crazyabout the ergonomics. Now we have upgraded to Wildfire 3.0.SO......... What's the general consensus? Which spaceballs are ourfavorites? Is the Pilot the "optimum"? And is it really setup forWildfire 3.0? Thanks in advance... I will post a summary as is customary... Lots of suggestions, thanks all.  The most common suggestion was the FX1400, but several others were mentioned.  It looks like the FX 1000 / FX3000 were the mid range & upper end when my entry level FX 500 was new.Looks like the FX1400 is available for under $500 and the older FX3000can be had for $200-$300 on eBay. Two cautions were expressed.  If I need AGP, act fast as they arebecoming scarce.  Check what my power supply is as the higher end cardsare power hogs, 100 watts for some models.  I have no idea on either oneso I've got some digging to do. Guru's, One of our users has created a fairly simple model in which he's managedto create a cross section that does not show up in the listing underview manager's cross section tab. Of course, now he needs to use thatname for another cross section, and cannot because it's already beingused. In 2001; there was an option to type in the name of a crossmember as opposed to selecting it from the list. This was the "trick",if you will, to getting rid of those cross sections who, for whateverreason, Pro/E did not show in the list. I do not see this option inWildfire; nor does the menu mapper or searching thru the online helpseem to be of any help. Anyone have a solution for this? All, For some reason I've been having trouble getting Pro (WF2) to double click.It's like Pro expects me to double click faster than any human is reasonablycapable of. It just recently started doing this, it only happens in Pro,and it doesn't do it consistently so sometimes a human-speed double clickworks and sometimes I just have to right click... tia... -Kevin A.

Anyone using UNIX with WF 2.0 experiencing very slow performance? I amrunning an HP Workstation C3750 with 8 gig of ram and it is a dog. I canopen very large models but very slowly. I am running a HP xw9300Workstation beside the UNIX. The PC outperforms the UNIX and is my primaryworkstation. Prior to Wildfire the UNIX seemed to run better. I am not anAdmin. but the UNIX feels like I have 5 sessions running in the background. I am on a large Network, no one is ever r-logged in. Hi everyone,As my anti-virus subscription is due to expire soon, I am wondering what is the best anti-virus to use in conjuction with Pro-E (including other CAD software) & PDM software. Does anyone have any recommendations on anti-virus software?I am interested in software does not cause a significate performance issue, and does not require an IT guru to configure. In the past, I have tried McAfee. Some others have recommended Micro Trend to me, but they do not use CAD software.I will provide a summary after receiving responses.
