Hello all,I have 2 library questions1 - When was the last Pro|E library update?I know there are library CD's for all versions, but the actual files pretty much haven't changed for years. We have the 2001 library installed, and the files leave some things to be desired like named planes, having all the default planes, taking advantage of the new component interfaces, etc. Are any of the WF series libraries any different or are they just the same old files?2 - How can I EASILY integrate our own parts into the PTC library structure? We've got a pile of models from PEM fasteners to electrical connectors that I'd like to be able to access through the Library dialogs. I can decipher the *.mnu text files that Pro|E puts in each library directory that fleshes out the menus when you browse the library, but I'm hoping there's an easier way than manually creating those in each directory of our own parts. We find or create new files on a regular basis to add to the library a
this is only a test

Does any have a method for Dual Dim title block tolerances to update parametrically.Has anyone ever done this and if so can you please share.Thank you in advanced Matt Romero
A couple of users suggested changing the accuracy, which fixed the problem.I don't understand why, though, originally my problem was on 1/2-inch holes, but some of the much smaller holes, such as #1, worked fine. Oh, well - thanks to all who've replied for your help! Carol
Hi allWe have hundreds of models and each has its own layering system. I wouldlike to correct them and set them all to one common layer system.I can create a mapkey to delete all layers then use the search tool inWF2 to find planes, curves, points, csys etc and it works fine. Theproblem is lets say I come to the points layer and I have two hundredpoints I need to accept. There is no "select all" option to move contentsto the accept box. I have to stop the mapkey and prompt the user toselect everything and move to the right box, then resume. If there wasa way to "select all" from the binoculars tool the mapkey would runtotally automatic 90% of the time. Any workarounds on this out there?ThanksGerald LanzTeledyen Brown EngineeringHuntsville, AL 35807256-544-0861

Hi alla round or a chamfer is created slecting a single edge as ref, using transition stopped it midway of the ref edge, another round or a chamfer created using the remaining edge as ref, two conditions normally arisea) if the size of the later round/ chamfer is small, two seperate features apearb) if the size of the later round chamfer is larger than the first...it propogates through! the first round/chamferthe second case is the one which at times fails also!!can anyone enlighten me as to what is reason behind itthanks in advanceAmerCollege of E&MEusing WF 3.0

Pro/e Gurus Thanks to all for your reply. From all the reply I understood that Pro/E can not import *.ai filesdirectly, though there is a concrete documents present in Pro/E HELPfiles. Pro/e can import DXF files. So we need use 3rd software like Inventor,Corel which will convert *.ai files to *.dxf.We can expect that Pro/E might come up with concrete solution in itsnext version. Thanks & Regards,Amik Parua
John here had the exact answer I was looking for. Thanks are also in order to those who replied Mike Singer

Does anyone have a syntax file for Pro/e (Program, relations) for Crimson editor that they wouldn't mind sharing??Thanks.Mark.
Gurus, Is there anybody worked on "Importing Adobe Illustrativefile(*.ai) curves into a pro/e model".I was trying to import a logo curves(*.ai) to my Pro/e wildfire2.0 modelbut failed.Amik
I was under the impression some time back that overall cost of ownership ofPRO/E was not all that much different than the overall cost of Solidworks(actual cost, not the other intangible costs).I'm sure there are several consultants in this group that have both packagesand can at least give some general numbers or differences in thepercentages.I'm under the opinion, if you don't do work for other clients and you don'tshare much or any data outside your company, and you don't feel like payingmaintenance, then don't. I dealt with a hyd cylinder mfr who stayed atrelease 18 or 19 when we were at 2001 because they didn't see the need tochange. They could still send out pro/e models and they rarely if everneeded to bring any in, so it worked for them.Steve
