To place a symbol with 2001, it was placed using offset, & thenselecting the object you wanted the symbol attached to.In WF2.0 M170 it does not seem to let me select offset, I have to 1stplace the symbol then reselect the symbol & select properties, then Ican choose offset & select the object to attach the symbol to.In 2001 for rev balloons, gages, KPCs, rev blocks, & many other thingsit was quite easy to just select a existing symbol (like a rev block),map key up the properties, then modify a few of the fields, & place itagain (offset or not). Less mouse clicks & time.In WF2.0, I now have to bring the symbol in, populate ALL of thefields, then place.Maybe I am missing something here, but symbol usage appears to be moreclicks/time & trouble than before. Anyone have a solution? So far, that is my only real complaint about WF2.0. Other than that,WF2.0 is a major upgrade & I am loving it.

Anyone ever reconfigured the server to accept connections from itselfonly? - Shalini DeviIS Admin. 480.607.63461.800.637.6278 ext. 346www.xpdusa.com
According to PTC, there's a limit of 72 lines per embedded spreadsheet. Seethis TPI: http://www.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=116396 .However, we have a spreadsheet that we cannot get any longer than 65 lines,no matter what we try. We need to get this spreadsheet to 70 lines. To addto the confusion, we have some embedded spreadsheets that are 70 lines long,BUT they were done pre-Wildfire. I even took this sheet that has 70 linesin it, and tried replacing all of the lines with my new lines, and the totallength is automatically truncated to 65.Has anyone ran into this, and is there some way to get the 72 line limit???I don't even want 72 lines. I ONLY want 70!!!We're on WF 2.0 M140
I will be out of the office starting 02/16/2006 and will not return until02/17/2006.I will respond to your message when I return.
Ok, here is a question. Is there a way to find out the ProE versionfrom the Wilfire 2.0 file tree? In 2001 ther was a directory under theloadpoint called version which had all the application versions in .verfiles. I was poking around Wildfire and could not find anythingremotely close... Can you still do it? Obviously this is not a major concern, more of acuriosity... Thanks...Mike Michael Gallagher Connected Home Solutions Business

As it turns out, I was a little impatient, and sent out my first summary tooquick. Some other things to try. Several also responded that the problemdoes appear to be fixed in M160 for those that are experiencing the issue, which is at least a good thing.A big big thanks again to all that responded!!!Several responded to my summary with these comments:
I have been having the same problem. I called PTC Technical Support and they told me that my OLE functionality is not configured correctly on my PC. He confirmed this by having me try to insert an image into Microsoft Word by means of OLE and it also just put the icon in the file instead of the contents of the image. He said he couldn't give me any info on configuring OLE correctly because it is functionality of Microsoft products. Our IT department was not able to provide me with instructions on configuring this either. Does anyone out there know how to properly configure OLE so the functionality will work within ProE Wildfire 2.0?Thanks for any help,Wayne
I guess there's no way to disable it within Pro|E. The three responsesI got were to password protect the zip files using a simple passwordknown to all. This would prevent Pro|E from accessing them but allowusers to get into them. This works, but it led me to another discovery. We sue WinRAR as our compression utility, if I save them as *.rar filesinstead of *.zip, Pro|E doesn't recognize them at all. Thanks,Doug Schaefer
All,I am trying to build a case for additional Pro/E support personnel and would like to get some idea of what other companies consider the appropriate ratio of support personnel to Pro/E users. I would like to know current ratios and if this staff level is sufficient. Thanks,Brian

Hello,Is there a way in WF2 to flip arrows similar to 2001. You use to be able to click a dim, while moving, right click would flip arrows, without going to the menu and saying flip arrows.David Rider
