I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.6.0We are trying to get the license file/server to load the Design Premium Professional first, then load the design essentials licensesCurrently we have 2 floating for Design essentials and 1 for Design Premium Pro the license file is installed on the server and when people run the parametric link on the desktop it loads desin Ess. not Premium. and when you got to use functions under the premium license it fails saying there are no options loaded. even when there is no one having the design premium license checked out. The only way we can get it to run right is to have someone log into two workstations using up the design ess licenses and then running Creo it will check out the premium license and allow us to use the advanced features. Is there a way to add something to the options file that tells it to either choose or pick the Premium by default?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.5.0I received a file (.asm) that contains an sub-assembly with a icon that I do not know. Similar icon to assembly type, but gray color...What is it? how is it created and how is it modified?
My client often sends us their sheet metal part in STEP, that we import in Creo, and we transform in Sheet metal. When we have hole with Countersink, the Convert to sheet metal will take the size of the hole on the side chosen, and convert in simple hole, then if you chose the wrong side, the hole will be on the size of the Countersink instead of the hole, I there a way to keep the countersink after the Convert to sheet metal feature? In example, my client has forgot to specify on their drawing (drawing with only a few important dimension) on his part. The part is big with small hole, and I don't have seen the countersink, and we have cut the part with the hole at the bigger size. Normally, I see it, and after the Convert to sheet metal feature, I have to find the hole, and add hole feature again to add the Countersink. If there was a way to keep the feature, this will help greatly with the import of sheet metal part.
Hello.Im trying to set up the drawing templates for SmartELECTRODE, but I've got some difficulties I hope someone can help me with. The problem is when trying to add EDM positions to the drawing, using a custom (repeat region) table, it will add positions of ALL electrodes, where I only want to add the positions of the electrode on the current drawing (I've chosen option "One sheet per model"). My template looks like this: TemplateAnd this is the result:ResultAnd its funny because if I add my custom table (which I've saved as a .tbl file) after the drawing is the created by SmartELECTRODE, this is what I get:Table added manually (correct)Another "weird" thing, there's probably a reason, is that when using the table from the original drawing template (see picture), Table template in ASM_EDM standard drawingthe correct values will be added to the table. (see picture)Result using standard drawing table. Also when this is fixed (if it possible) I'd like to merge the "ASM_EDM" draw
Hello all,I am a newbie here and I am using Creo Illustarte. So I hope that I will ask correctly. My question:Sometimes Illustrate displays a curve in an edgy way.See my attached example. The cap and the O-ring are actually round. How can I fix this?
During Creo additive manufacturing, most guides export files to 3mf. However, only G-code can be read when reading from a 3D printer afterwards. Is there a way to export it directly from Creo to G-code? I am currently using creo 9.0.

Hello, We migrated from Creo3 to Creo8, and the thing that is very annoying and i cant turn it off, is next. When I work on assembly and than click on part in graphic window, it automaticaly jumps on that part in model tree also. In Creo3 it did not jump on that part in model tree, You had to right click on the part in graphic window, and than there was option in dropdown menu 'Show part in model tree'. I would like this function back in Creo8, is there a way? Automatic 'jumping' is sometimes useful, often it is not. I seem to spend 30% of my time just scrolling through model tree to find things. I have a lot of skeleton sketches in assembly model tree, that are used on multiple parts. Now averytime I activate the part in graphic window, it jumps to that specific part in model tree, and I have to find that sketch so i can choose it (for a pattern for example) again.

Hello, in my BOM I can see that a specific part appears twice, so it has to entries in the BOM.I used it in total 24 times in my assembly. One entry has 16 parts (qty), the other one 8. It is for sure excatly the same part (.prt), still I am not able to combine it. I saw the following article: https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/BOM-not-merging-part-quantities/td-p/571318 I did excatly the same, still the problem occurs. Let me know if you need some files, but the file is quite a big assembly with many many parts. Greetings Spedex
ModelCHECK is telling me that I have views that do not have scale assigned, but my views DO have Default scale assigned. Is VIEW_SCALE working as intended here? I would think that Default scale would count as an assigned scale.
I don't own a product code for my student Mathcad and I can't activate the license I received via email.
Although I can create a plot, I am not able to format it. The Symbol, Line Style, Color Scheme, Trace Thickness, and Surface Fill options are all grayed out. Only can change Trace Color.
I am trying to create a drawing template that uses a simplified rep for a view and a bom table that only shows the items shown in the simplified rep. My template uses the simplified rep but the BOM table still shows all the items and qty's in the entire assembly. Any suggestions on how to acheive this? Thanks, Brian

Hello everyone. I publish a work done with MATHCAD 15. I don't think you can do the same with PRIME. What do you think about it?
Hello,I am reasonably new to using MathCad and I am experiencing an issue when trying to solve the programs on page 7, 8 and 9 of the attached work sheet. I am looking for outputs to the 'Column' 'Lp' and 'Lr' functions for a range of values, i. However, I am being met with the error message 'This array index is invalid for this array'.Any advice is much appreciated as I am still learning the software. Thanks in advance
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.5.1One of the users is unable to import the word documents inside the Creo drawing. The user is able to import only once when system is restarted and unable to import the document again.
I'm using a surface to 'trim' the solid by solidify the surface, but the solidfication will always consume the surface after it's done. What I want is to keep the surface, so that I can still use it later. I checked also the configurations, there's no such an option. Is there a way to do so? Thanks.
I am using Creo Parametric 7.0 7.0.4.0What is the difference in assembly functionality between Creo Design Essentials and Creo Design Essentials Plus? I can see that Creo Design Essentials has ASSY_PERFORMANCE module compared to Creo Design Essentials Plus has ASSEMBLY module. Existing PTC Article CS58879 has a great list of Top Down Design functionality but it is not clear which functions are available with the new Creo Design Essentials licenses.
I have an instance where I am making a Swept Blend between several sets of sketches. The resulting solid has very poor curvature. I know that if I could move the edge of one of my segments in a sketch that I would get a better looking Swept Blend. The only problem is that the 2 adjacent sketch segments are a line and an arc. I can split both of these segments but can not to my knowledge join them together. Is there any concatenate functionality within a sketch, just like there is outside of sketch using the copy and paste command? Below you can see the edge of curve that I would like to move, but not add a split.
Hi everyone, I do not want my true position tolerance showing up like this with the long leader line. I want it to show up with a short leader line that ends when the text starts. Does anyone know how to change this setting? See attached. To create this GD&T I was in the .PRT file, annotate tab, and picked on "Geometric Tolerance" Then clicked on the hole note and all of a sudden my nice looking short leader line turned in to a long leader line. It ALSO shows up this way on my drawing. Thanks,Dan
