I got this task named : CIB resolution for CN#123456. The status says potential. My question is the Electronic CIB is completed by other team members. What and where in the chain of change is this step part of? I have only used Arena Empower and that was more user intuitive unlike Windchill. Please help.

We’ve been trying to find a more efficient way of creating springs and adding measures to them, but so far haven’t had much success. We’ve standardized a lot of spring parameters—names, orientations, and measures—but every time we create a new spring, it still takes too long to set up both the spring and its associated measure. Example workflow: Start with an empty model and a point at (0,0,0). Create a spring to ground with stiffness properties in the global coordinate system: Z = 10 N/mm X = 0 N/mm Y = 0 N/mm Add a measure for this spring and name it Wheel_1_Z. We’ve tried to automate the process using mapkeys, but haven’t managed to make it work. Using Creo 10.0.2.0 Commercial license After I completed a model and associated drawing, we had a small issue. I oriented the model wrong.I based my sketch in the "Top" plane when I should have based it in the "Front" plane. That would make it line up better in the final assembly. I know it's not a big deal to rotate it in the assembly, but it would be "nice" to just have it fit correctly in the system without rotating. I figured out I could get the orientation I needed by right-clicking the sketch and selecting references. I then switched Top with Front, Right with Top, then Front with Right to get the actual orientation I needed. Great, the model itself was exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, as one might expect, this completely broke all of my annotated dimensions. I tried to reassign the planes for the annotations, but it didn't work. I then regenerated the original model and tried just switching Top and Front, leaving right alone. I am currently using the free trial version (EXPRESS) of Mathcad Prime. After converting a file created with the old Mathcad using the "Input/Output" XMCD converter menu, I opened the converted file and tried to copy and paste a table from Excel into the original table, but it is not reflected. During the conversion, a message "To maintain the numerical results of the input table, the table has been converted into a matrix" was displayed. Is this the cause? Could you please tell me the reason and the solution?

I'm using ThingWorx 9.3.9 My service creates a file in a file repository.  I would then like the service to email a link to the file that the user can click on to download the file. I've tried using the repository's GetFileListingWithLinks service that returns an infotable that has a hyperlink field named downloadLink.  However, the value that is returned is in this format:/Thingworx/FileRepositories/MLLC.Common.Repository/LineZRouteID_2025-08-07.csv When I email that value Outlook does not recognize that value as a link.  So, I think I need to somehow convert it to this format:http://thingworxu15/Thingworx/FileRepositories/MLLC.Common.Repository/LineZRouteID_2025-08-07.csv   Here's my code.  The commented lines show the ways I tried to get it to email a proper link.// result: INFOTABLE dataShape: "FileSystemFileWithLinks" let fileInfo = Things["MLLC.Common.Repository"].GetFileListingWithLinks({ path: "/" /* STRING */ , nam

I have long wondered this question and figured someone out there might know. I have a QML report that looks fairly simple. Even though I have a bunch of selected columns in my output, you are not able to apply sorting on all of them. In this case, I am reporting all Suppliers but the Supplier name is not available to be the default sort. What gives here? It even shows a blank column which is strange.   

We are working with PLC Siemens S7-1500 Firmware v4.0. OPC is able to establish connection but at some point it disconnects and gives following error: "Device is not responding. In an Expressions function: ExistentPTO in a Mashup X,I have a need to evaluate the payload on a call to a route (from another project: ToolB).response = Things["ToolB.v6DocMgmt"].getDocuments({......});if (JSON.stringify(response)[value] == []) {    output = "Not a good number";} else output = <target mashup name>; When viewing the mashup, i get this in the logs:19:06:28 WARN - Evaluation of expression "ExistentPTO" Failed. Things is not defined Can I NOT use Things within an Expression function? How do i refer to a Thing in another project?  

The Mathcad functions matrix, CreateSpace and CreateMesh have a few limitations that led me to create alternatives.   One set of limitations is that the x (& y) ordinates they use are restricted to being linearly spaced (unless using a mapping function in CreateSpace and CreateMesh).  This often proved a nuisance, so (way back in Mathsoft Mathcad v11), I wrote replacements for them that allowed me more control over the x & y coordinates.   Secondly, Mathcad doesn't have a vector counterpart to the function matrix. A simple enough thing to implement.   And, bringing us up to date, CreateSpace and CreateMesh are Premium functions in Mathcad Prime, thus unavailable for Mathcad Express.   With the latter in mind, and noting CreateSpace's use in a recent thread, I thought I'd cobble together a worksheet showing one possible Express implementation of the functions vector, matrix, Vector, and Matrix (the latter two being replacements for CreateSpace and C

Version: Windchill 12.0 Use Case: Interested in an approach/toolset that can support opening a Solidworks file from Windchill, interrogating an attribute value and if required check out the file, update the attribute, save and check-in.Description: We have a large number of Solidworks files in our production system (mostly Library parts) that sometimes have an erroneous attribute value that we would like to correct. Ideally we would like this done programmatically, curious if anyone has had any success with this sort of initiative and how they accomplished it.

Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: Users need to be able to click on the task and be able to see at what step the workflow is in, what comments have been made so they know what they need to do next. Currently my new workflow fails to provide a hyperlink to view the workflow structure and comments for each step in the process. How do I fix this?Description: When the creator/initial assignee clicks on the Submit Document link and the task view is displayed, there's no hyperlink for the process text to enable one to see what the workflow structure is or at what point in the workflow the work is at, or what actions or comments have taken place.  Should have a hyperlink like in the image below so one may view the workflow and status information of the current state of the workflow like the other image below. What do I need to do to get the hyperlink to show up in my new workflow?Thanks for any help you may provide,Don A

HelloI am looking for a way to access and override the content of headers without starting MathCad. This is required for our document management system - once the file is officially issued the document management system needs to override the date, title, etc. I do understand that MathCad files are zipped xml's and I could modify the values in the xml file but the header/footer text content does not seem to be available.  Thank you in advancedMichal

Hello PTC Community, I'm experiencing an issue on some computers where the Creo 11 embedded browser is not functioning correctly. For certain web pages (stored in the hard drive), the browser displays a completely blank white page. A CAD Document "Test.prt / C.3" is associated to "test(Design) / C.3" part with an owner link and is also connected to "test(Manufacturing) / C.3" part. Now when a user iterates CAD to C.4 and checks auto associates while checkin, the design view WTPart is synchronized with the latest iteration of CAD Document, but the Manufacturing part is unsynchronized and still has C.3 CAD associated to it.When I synchronize it through BOM transformer, manufacturing part get's synchronized with metadata, but the CAD document is still the older iteration C.3.Question: When an engineer, checkin his CAD document, how to make sure the CAD is synchronized with design view and the manufacturing view automatically?

Is there a way to use Gpost to split an nc file in couple .tap-files?So that Gpost looks for time or length?   I would like to use this information to export an "SET", and then let GPOST split it into different TAP-parts (every tool has then his own NCL-File). That would make the explort of CL-Files easier.. because now we have to calculate every Step one by one becuase the NC-Machines/Worker prefer it that way.

Restarting MS every time to pick up my changes is annoying.   Since those scripts are interpreted by Nashorn anyway, I thought... maybe there's some magic trick (e.g. calling some MBean method) to reload them without restarting MS every time?   Thanks!

We've observed that some users are attempting to access Windchill without being assigned any valid licenses. In such cases, the error message displayed is overly technical and difficult for end users to understand.To improve the user experience, we would like to customize the error page to display a simple and clear message indicating that the issue is due to missing Windchill licenses. I’ve attached a screenshot of the current error for reference.This request is of high priority, as the existing error page is causing confusion among users and generating unnecessary support tickets.Thank you for your attention to this matter.
