Hello, While opening one of my master assemblies, it is getting crashed in midway. could you please help. i tried new installation and updating the Graphics but none of them worked. the issue was not there earlier. br,Sandeep C.
Hello all, I'm just getting started with piping. I found a tutorial through the help button in Creo, but I can't get back to it for some reason. I managed to make the routing that I want, and I'm pretty comfortable with the interface, but I assume that I am doing something wrong. All the pipe routes appear as lines, and not 3D pipe. I created the Line Stock and checked the dimensions, but maybe I did something wrong. This is a series of 16" and 24" piping coming off a suction and discharge header. If you can tell from the screenshot, please let me know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks in advance.
Running Creo 9. This one seems like a WTF miss... I have a drawing view that has long belts extending away from the rest of the assembly that I don't need to show. Also on this drawing I have unattached notes next to all the sensor locations calling out the specific input that sensor feeds into. I relate the notes to the view then decide that the belts could be trimmed by changing the full view to a partial view and BOOM the notes all move too. Why on earth would "relate to view" be attached to some random arbitrary magical location that based on a made-up spline that 99% of the time you don't even see?!? Please say there is a configuration setting for this like "relate to view location" that has 'Model Origin' as an option! Thanks in advance!Brad
I am exporting a STEP file from a metric assembly. When I import the STEP file in as an assembly it imports in fine. But if I import it in as a part, any parts that are not metric come in scaled down by 25.4. Is there a config.pro or setting somewhere that I need to set to make everything import into a part at the correct size? Example is below, the housing is a metric part and the plug is a metric part and come in scaled down by 25.4. Thanks!Ted
Hi, I'm using piece of code from UginterfaceExport.c located in C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 9.0.5.0\Common Files\protoolkit\protk_appls\pt_userguide\ptu_interface\UgInterfaceExport.c. While building application I got below error, Error LNK2019 unresolved external symbol ProUtilWstrcpy referenced in function "int __cdecl UserNewShrinkwrapCreate(void)" (?UserNewShrinkwrapCreate@@YAHXZ) Error LNK2019 unresolved external symbol UserPromptUI referenced in function "int __cdecl UserNewShrinkwrapCreate(void)" (?UserNewShrinkwrapCreate@@YAHXZ) What could be done to solve this? I explored similar questions in community portal and tried the solution, all didn't work.
is it possible to add Check-in comments in Creo Parametric through Toolkit
Hello All,I have a query related to Method 3 mentioned in Article - CS33456 https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS33456 Please see attachments. 1. dbatch_test_drawing-0.pdf -> PDF exported thorough CREO export option using profile (as per the settings saved in the selected Export Profile (*.dop) file).2. dbatch_test_drawing-1.pdf -> PDF exported thorough Distributed Pro/Batch using Method 3. PDF DRW Export based upon external profile option.Seems Distributed Pro/Batch is not reading DOP file as the pentable is not getting read ( dbatch_test_drawing-1.pdf)Also tried Article - CS325222 https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS325222 Any help is appreciated.Thank you. Best regards,Atul Ghadge.
Hi all, first post! My question is that the way we like our text within our tables to look is centered horizontally, meaning the box borer spacing above the text is the same as the spacing below the text. When I select the 'Automatic height adjustment' box, the lower border is much closer to the text than the upper border. Is there a way to change the "cell padding" around the text to center this? I've searched for config parameters on this with no luck. Using Creo 6 (going to 9 this weekend) Thanks in advance!Brad
As per the original post. Is there any way to use the existing model annotation and add a tolerance to its angle? Surely it should be this easy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fzz2cMiAZc

I am having an issue accessing Creo 10.0. I had Creo 9.0 but had to update due to my files upgrading from 9 to 10 on my new laptop, so my old laptop running 9.0 could no longer open these files. I attempted downloading creo 10.0 using my schools access, however I am running into an error I do not understand, a screenshot is provided below.
Hi Community, I'm using Creo Parametric 9.0.5., and my problem is that the auto scaling within the sketcher only works for me in parts, but I need to create some sketches in assemblies and this feature is not working there. (I have sketcher_auto_scale_dimensions yes set in the config.pro) Is there any solution for this issue? Thanks in advance!
According to article CS400725 Creo Parametric exits in many scenarios with tracebacks. Corrected in Creo Parametric 8.0.10.0, 9.0.7.0 and 10.0.3.0 So download one of these and one will never crash again. 😎
Hi AllI was trying to import an excel table, save in CSV_(MS DOS) format into my Creo 2 drawing sheet. The reason was that it's too hard to modify a designed table in the Creo drawing sheets. The error was that some columns have more rows that the other ones. Which is not true.In my file there are two columns, one with letters and the other with numbers, and there is no empty row. So I have no idea why it doesn't accept my excel file import. My idea was to always modify the tables on the excel and re-import them to my Creo drawing
hello, I am working with Creo 4.0, and suddenly ran into a problem where snapping to sketch reference lines stopped working for some reason. it was working fine before. it will snap to vertices and points just fine just doesn't want to snap to lines.the error does not appear on other computers in my company. things I tried:1- I copied the config.pro file from a working computer2- reinstalled PTC parametric again.3- changed snapping setting from the file>options>sketcher menu (tried very high, high, mid)4- model accuracy to absolute 1.0 nothing seems to work and its driving my sanity to its limits.
Initially posted in this topic Hello PTC Community, I am facing a similar issue regarding the weld connections being ignored. Although, this thread looks very old, I was wondering if anyone ever got a solution for a similar problem yet by any chance? Any inputs are highly appreciated. Many thanks.
Hello All, I want information related to convert large amount of files approx 5000 to 10000 files from Solidworks to Creo Parametric. What will be the best option to do this? May be any batch migration tool or add in?Thank you.
is there a way to have a floating license and be able to remotely point to it ? would like to have creo on my personal laptop and be able to point to a generic floating license that is on our server AT WORK without having to team viewer in to my work computer FIRST and work thru my work computer. Seems to be slower going thru a third party approach.
Hello, I would like to pull the name of top level assembly name in child model or subassembly drawing.
Hello! Currently using 20.5.2.0. First time post from myself. I have been using CREO now for about three years, and feel like I have a pretty good handle on working with it. However, I am yet to find a way to create a render that has a .jpeg images attached to it. I have a CAD model with a selection of labels currently shown as .jpegs on a work plane which I have attached to their respective locations on the design, however rendering doesn't recognise these images due to them being on a work plane. Is there a way to attach these images to the CAD model rather than the work planes which will allow me to create a render with the .jpeg images showing? Any help is greatly appreciated. Many thanks
Creo 10.0 ....while installing software i am stuck in step 2 ....even after I entered correct sales order number it is showing invalid file format .....how to solve this problem?
Dear Simulate Users, I have the real material model of a plastic (PA66 GF15). A table - send by manufacturer - includes the Young modulus, the max.tensile strain, the max. tensile stress and finally the measured material curve: The dashed line (see elastic line) was created by Young modulus. It can be seen that the linear range of real curve is very short. The real curve begins to bend quite early. Theoretically the yield point is in the point of bending start. 1. But how can I define a material curve which approximates this real curve well? 2. Where is the yield pont exactly if the data table doesn't include it? Thanks a lot; Roland
Creo Parametric 7.0.11.0 and Creo Simulate 7.0.11.0 both are installed, I want to uninstall Simulate 7.0.11.0 only silently. I am using the below comment:Start-Process -FilePath "C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 7.0.11.0\Simulate\bin\uninstall" -ArgumentList "-quite -xmlPath `"C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 7.0.11.0\Simulate\bin\pim\xml`"" But I am always getting the below option, but i want to directly uninstall creo simulate only with out user input
Hello, i was confused when i looked at the drawing errors and the same drawing in my colleagues window. the errors were completely different.Could someone explain this? snap attached. Thanks, sandy
My company uses Creo to design large scale glass facades and other highly customized designs for the architectural market. Some of our parts are very special and some are typical steel cross sections. My company is about to purchase an OCEAN AVENGER PLUS DRILL LINE. The AvengerPlus requires a DSTV compliant file which has a .nc or .nc1 file format files. Does anybody have experience with converting Creo parts into a DSTV compliant file? Any help would be great. Thanks. Steve
