Creo+ and Creo Parametric

Hello,We have been using public geometry in an assembly (creo5) for several years and in this public geometry there is a compound surface (bottle), which we use to hollow out another part (mould). The usefulness of the public geometry is that we change the bottle for another one and the mould automatically updates itself (height, diameter, etc.) to match the new bottle.However, since we have been testing Creo 8, we cannot change our bottle without causing an error: it does not replace the old compound surface with the new one.I can't attach the video to show you our problem.Maybe we did it wrong a long time ago, but that's how our files are. I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0The license file failed to install, see error message below. The license file has been retrieved from the PTC Support page. I’m hoping someone on here can give me a very descriptive setup/workflow from Schematic to Parametric on how to get the terminators to show up on a Creo Parametric drawing BOM and Pinout table. We are using an .xml to get our cable, spool, and connector information from Schematic into Parametric but are struggling to get the terminators to show up and the basic info on PTC support ( https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_schem/usascii/index.html#page/Schematics_hc/About_Terminators_and_Terminator_Tables.html ) wasn’t able to get us very far. We don’t know if our Schematic setup is wrong or if it’s something on the Parametric side. We are looking for an automated solution not a manual placement one. If you do have this working, please share as much of your setup and workflow as possible this would be very very appreciated as I’m struggling to find anything about this online.  (parametric 5.0.3.0)

Hello, I'm trying to set up a non-linear buckling analysis in CREO.So far I have been successful in analyzing a cantilever steel column, but I am only able to predict elastic buckling loads.The actual buckling load needs to be obtained from a nonlinear buckling analysis, and should be smaller than the value predicted by elastic buckling analysis. Is anybody aware of a CREO tutorial so I can learn how to set up this type of nonlinear problem?  Thank you, any help it's very much appreciated

Hello All,Creo 4.0 M140.Considering moving our model check files to a share drive using modelcheck_dir to give us flexibility to adjust them without need to deploy new updates to users.I've seen a few topics regarding the dictionary and user_words. It seems this file will only read from the load point directory.  Can anyone confirm this is true?Anyone have success sharing a dictionary with other users? We could restrict write access in our shared drive to prevent things from getting too wild if needed of course.

Has anybody created an ISO 1302:2002 Surface Finish symbol and is willing to share it? PTC's Creo symbol supports ISO 1302:2001 and there are apparently no plans to upgrade it to the current standard.

I can't seem to position the datum symbol right beneath the dimension. Somehow, is placing the symbol in the middle of  the leader line.I tried config settings (gtol_datums to std_ansi OR  std_asme_y14.5_2018) , annotation dimensions without much success.  Any other tips? thanks

With the addition of the default material PTC_SYSTEM_MTRL_PROPS in Creo 7, ModelCheck's material_info in ModelUpdate mode stopped working. Before Creo 7, it used to assign the material you chose in models that didn't have any materials. The new default material wouldn't be a problem, but it doesn't have any parameters (density being the most important) which breaks mass calculation for assemblies.   As written in CS326615, you can add density to this default material in your templates, but that doesn't help me when I'm updating old models. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to solve this problem? For now we were using Creo 6 to ModelCheck old assemblies before importing them to Windchill but I'd rather have everyone use Creo 7 only.

I am new to Creo (using Creo 7) and I recently discovered the User Defined Analysis function and I am trying to better understand how to use it. I created a cross section property analysis, which gives me cross sectional area, center of gravity, inertia tensor, polar moment of inertia, section modulus, etc. When setting up the user defined analysis, I am able to select cross sectional area, CG and inertia tensor values however data such as polar moment of inertia and section modulus are not available. Is there any way to obtain these in a UDA? Thanks for any help

What are the benefits of each? What do users typically buy. It seems like Creo Simulate is an older tool, but the others are relatively new. Both Ansys Simulate and Simulate Live came out around the same time. Besides the fact that this is confusing (why do this?), it makes it harder on the consumer to figure out what to choose. It seems like on youtube, more people are discussing Simulate Live.

Sometimes I need to get a drawing in inches and want to make a cad model of it. I normally use mm, so is there a way of typing in the dimensions in inches and have Creo automatically convert to the default (mm), for example with a specific tag or something? It's time consuming to convert all units externally first.
