Creo+ and Creo Parametric

Hello,   I need to add an entry into my drawing format that reads RELEASED if my drawing state is released and NOT RELEASED if the state is anything other than released.   I know I can use the &PDMRL parameter to report the current state, but how do I combine this with an IF statement to display RELEASED or NOT RELEASED?   Thanks, Matt

is Creo 3.0 compatible with Windows 10 build 10061?

Hi, we using creo 2.0(M250) on a windows 10.   our hardware spec was below thatgraphic : NVIDIA QUADRO M4000RAM : 32 GB--------------------------- creo was good working on before upgrade a windows 10.but after upgrade performance is down.   for example,3D model rotate reaction was very slowly.3D model ZOOM reaction was very slowly.   we are using compatibility "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" in creo properties.and we deinstall graphic card and reinstall recently version.   but creo2.0 still looks down performance.   someone have same issue in windows 10?just one solution is that upgrade above a creo 3.0 M140 ?   thanks   Warm Regards,SeonHo Cha

When placing dimensions on our drawings, Creo 4.0 wants to create dimensions to lines which are not visible (because they are at the back side of a part).   It's highly irritating...is there a Drawing Option or Configuration Option that will tell Creo that it may only create dimensions to lines which are visible in a view?

I am using the param_relations.txt file to create parameters in the newly created parts.   ex:  'DESCRIPTION = BUW_SIZE + ", " + DESC_NAME + ", " + BUW_TYPE'   Question: Where are the parameters being pulled from?  The parts associated *.dat file?   I am trying to extract the 'P' (Thread Pitch) value from the data file, but I am getting an error.  It seems like I can extract the other values from .dat file, but not the 'P' value.   The end result I'm trying to get to is a Description parameter that reads something like: 'M12 X 1.75 X 60 LG,' etc.  The 1.75 being the value I can't get.   Thanks for any assistance.

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 4.0 (connected) 4.0 M060I am trying to update BOM relations for repeat region cells. I have entered the code into the relations editor.IF asm_mbr_part_number == "3-000010900" QTY = "REF"ELSE QTY = rpt_qtyENDIF The issue comes up when I try to double click the cell to get to the "Report Symbol" popup. It gives me the "Text Style" popup instead. How do I get the "Report Symbol"?Here are the errors that I faced N/A

This is going to be a rather long post, so I’m going to start with the questions I have. Then I’ll get into the issues.   Questions: Are stroked fonts machine readable? It was stated to me by one of my compatriots, that for MBE the stroked fonts were not machine readable for downstream applications. I’m beginning to doubt this because I can export a pdf with Stroked and Searchable text. Also if you look at the stroked_symbol_asme.src file you see that each character has code numbers associated with it. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe codes are only required for special fonts, all the standard keyboard characters don’t have codes. When trying to convert an existing drawing to true type fonts, I can get all the symbols to update to the new font by modifying the parts and assembly files, except for the plus minus symbol. Dear Forum , I'm a french teacher an I used to use CREO 5.0.3.0. I built a course about fastener design and calculs and I would like to show to students the link between calculus ans simulation , for introduce parameters to the students , I've chosen to use a simple model , 2 parts joined with a blot  When I perform a simulation with a axial force I find the same results as the calculation (I've join the PDF in french )    Now I want to perform a simulation with a tangential force ,    And now It's more complexe,  I Anchor the pink part , I apply a tangentiel force (500 N) on the yellow part .  This is  bolt définition with a preload of 8000 N        I define a interface with a infinite friction and a friction indicator at 0.5      the analyse settings    and here are all the results    Result analyse : to do simple , the preload is 8000 and the indicator is 0,5 , in theory the max tang

Hello Everybody,   is there currently a known major issue with Creo Parametric Student Edition 4.0 ? The symptom ist, Creo starts but after the first click it freezes and after next click it crashes. (no matter where you click). This happens currently on many private PC's of my students since Friday and since today even two of my PC's are effected.  I also have the educational version installed on one of my computers and this version runs fine. Operating System Win10 20H2, all updates. Tried new installation, cleared the cache, nothing helps...   I dont know how to run the next lecture with this problem.   Any advice? We need to make a single plane for both the finished dimensions and the machining dimensions, before surface treatment. How can we automatically add a machining value to a dimension? The idea would be to display both the finished dimension and the machining dimension.

I am using Creo Direct 7.0 7.0.0.0Unable to install / upgrade CREO license

I currently have Creo 7.0.2.0 installed. When trying to run Creo I'll get this error "License request failed for feature" (See image below for reference). Has anyone else had this issue? I have Creo 7.0.0.0 installed before but uninstalled it then reinstalled the new version. If someone could help me resolve this issue that would be great. Please let me know if you need more information.     

I see that creo 7 will import native solid edge files - it is in the pull down options list when one goes to open a file.  The problem is that when the import is completed (assembly file opens in creo) I am not seeing any parts in the model tree.   Is there an additional app that I need to install, or is the way the original file is being saved?   Thanks,

Hello,   How to add new bolt (M14) in intelligent fastener.    As I shared in the picture below, there are no M14 bolts in the default settings. But designers need it. How can I add this.    

I am using Creo Parametric 4.0 and 7.0, there is a plan to upgrade Windows 10 version to 1909 (OS build 18363), need to verify compatibility.

Is there a way to assign a default Bend Table when converting a regular part to sheetmetal? This is what an Engineer sent me and I'm unsure where to look to apply our default Sheetmetal Bend Table automatically...   "Normally when I create a sheetmetal part it uses the sheet metal table to generate the bend allowance. But if you start with a regular part then convert to a sheetmetal part, it uses a different table or formula. I have similar parts bent the same but forming dimensions are different due to the bend allowance from a standard part vs. a converted sheetmetal part."

In our ERP we provide a raw material quantity. For sheet metal parts, whether they are bent or not, we provide a true area of the part. For any part made of sheet metal, we currently use Creo's Measure tool to get the surface area of the FLAT, divide that number by 144 (yes, I know you can change the units in the Measure tool, but it changes them everywhere, when I only need feet in the area calculation), enter that number into a Parameter in the parent part (called "Quantity"), and it appears in the Quantity section in a drawing table. This is a pretty annoying manual process, and needs to be redone with any change to the part during design or revisions.    Because it will be important in a moment, I will point out that we do this for any part literally made from sheet metal, whether or not that part is bent (meaning they may or may not have a FLAT).   I would like to use a Relation to feed the Quantity Parameter. Hi all, I work in a company with about 15 licenses of Creo 1.0. Since now, we have been working with windows 7 workstations, but we are upgrading some machines to windows 10 and we have some performance troubles when working with Creo. Particullary I advise a big slowdown when mounting big assemblies or trying to explode assembies. I have tried to do the some operation on different machines with different hardware and OS and I have noticed that on Win 10, it takes 3 or 4 times more than in Win 7, even with much better hardware on the win 10 machines. I know that Creo 1.0 is a very old version, but due to licensing issues the company can't afford updating the software. Anyone knows why is this happening? Is possible to configure something to avoid this troubles? anyone has the some trouble? Thanks in advance!

Hi all, I want to create a few envelope parts of an assembly with a few positions (instances in a family table). BTW: We are using Creo 3.0 with the AXX-module.   This means: - I do have an assembly. - This assembly does have a family table with 4 instances in (the positions of some parts are changing in all instances) - For all these 4 instances I like to create an separate envelope part   I've tried to do this in the generic assembly, but I cannot find the way to do this.   The way I've done it now is: - Open a family table instance - Go to the envelope manager - Create an envelope part - do this for each instance I don't know if this is the best way to do this...   This results in a family table with the envelope-parts in it:     The strange thing is that I'm not able to add an envelope part to the family table by myself (by clicking the part). Does anybody know how to do this?
