Hello I am looking for a way to simulate the plastic deformation of the clip by bushing insertion. I tried to find procedures to set constraints and loads, but all didn't work. the clip is a stamped metal and the bushing is solid metal, and I wanted to determine the material based on the simulation result. I attached a simplified model file. Would you please share details of setups to get the deformation?
I use PTC Creo 6.0.4.0 While in the Annotate tab, you have the option to create an inspection dimension. The corresponding dialog window with the display of what the dimension looks like can be seen in the attached screenshot. When you export this model to a STEP AP242 (with the Include option "Annotations -> Rich content" enabled) the graphical representation is retained but the ability to interrogate the annotation to check whether this is an inspection dimension or not seems to be lost in the translation. It can not be found in the annotation parameters as can be seen in the attached screenshot. Is this a shortcoming of the STEP implementation in PTC Creo or is there a way to circumvent this problem.
Hi, I'm new here, I'm from Spain. I'm just trying to make a lattice in an archive (attached) I set up with 0.5mm wall and 10mm cube for the size of lattice and 0.5mm for the lattice diameter itself and 0.9mm for the connection sphere. It can make the preview perfectly (attached a screenshot) but when I click to generate it crashes and produce an error. (attached a screenshot) Maybe I need more power, or less graphics, I imported the design from CATIA V5. Can someone help me?? Thanks in advance! Regards!!
Hello Community, i have a problem with saving a part as a stp. If i open this stp.data with an other CAD-Programm i only get a surface geometry and no solid. Has someone the same problem or maybe a solution for it? thanks
Hi, I have a basic question about creo Simulate. I'd like to simulate the following assembly: There is a large mast that is a few meters long. And then there is a little plate bolted onto the top of the mast. I only want to simulate the plate on top of the mast. Is it possible to exclude the mast from the calculations ? The mast can be assumed as 100% rigid in this case. Calculating the plate takes only a few seconds, but it takes very long to calculate the whole mast every time. So how can the mast be assumed as rigid, so that it isn't calculated every time I run the simiulation ? Thanks, Maik
Is there a way to call out a specific view name? I want to call out in the notes to refer to a specified view, like "View 3A" but I can't find any way to have that actually tie to a view to update if the view name changes.
hello i havefound a image of asembly witch i dont what mean please explain this simbol it 's good its bad how i can avoid it thank you for feedback
Hi,we are trying to create a program in VB to read the parameters contained in an assembly. We correctly read the parameters of the assembled models but we cannot find the PARAMETERS OF THE COMPONENTS. Can anyone help us?Thank you.
In this tutorial, you can learn How to create a sphere pattern - or how to use Pattern of Pattern on a sphere.
Good morning to all. I am looking for a way (if exist) to improve the use of creo via RDP (the one integrated into Microsoft). We have da company in Italy and a lot of workers are trying to work from home on 3/4 different configuration of creo (from Creo 4 to Creo 6). When we rotate a piece we have a peak use of 35 Mbps. We have tried to insert the config "graphics win32_gdi" that reduce of 50% the use of data, but it inserts other problem. There is some know configuration that can improve the experience?
Hi all!I'm trying to figure out how Creo knows the position (or placement/location) of items within an imported STEP assembly. After importing the step you obviously are left with an assembly where all the single parts and sub-asm. are in the right spot, but how is that location determined and stored? When deleting the Import Feature Id ## of a imported part, the complete geometry is deleted. Do the same in an assembly and all parts are still there .. in the right place. And then the catch: When I replace one of the single parts with a non-imported part (native Creo from my Workspace) it still is valid and not packaged. While adding that same part seperately (forgotten by supplier) I need to provide constraints to prevent it from being Packaged ..
Hello, I am trying to find a way to reference the number of instances in a sketched pattern on the drawing parametrically, however I can't locate how to do it. Creo clearly stores the number, as when I look at the feature information, it says that the sketch is the leader of a (X x X) general pattern, as shown in my attachment, but I can't figure out how to reference this number. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as I would like this to update the drawing automatically if any changes are made. EDIT: I have attached a reference file as well.
Hello, In CREO 5, the default selection filter item is 'Geometry'. Not very useful at the assembly level. Is there a way to change this default selection filter item to 'Part'? Thank you.
Does Creo have a way to use two perpendicular sketches to create a part? The attached image shows the two sketches, and the final image shows what I'm looking for. I created the final part by making an extrusion, then by making an extruded cut. I have some complex geometry on a part where it would be easier to have creo simply use the two sketches to find the intersecting geometry and create a part in one step. I swear I've done this before, but can't seem to figure out how to do it now. Thanks in advance.
hi there! I have faced a problem during use of tool sweep. I am modelling a pipe of teapot. I made an orgin and two chains, but the begigning of the section is not the same as the begining of the origin and chains. How can I fix this?
Hi All I have made a drawing of an assembly and added table and BOM balloons but I want to change the order of the index numbers. To do this I use "Repeat Regions > Sort Reion > Edit" and this is where my problems occurs: As soon as I click on "Edit" a DOS promt open and my notepad opens an empty sheet and promts a warning saying "The file temp_fmt.txt was not found. Would you like to create a new?" What is this temp_fmt.txt, where should it be located, what should be in it and can it be recreated? I have made a search for the file on my HDD with no results 😞
Hi what is the setting to change to get it so the edge of holes are not broken into 2 segments in both creo 3.0 and 4.0? thanks
Hello everyone! I'm searching for a way to use conical branches (see attached pic - it's a branch with different sizes for each outlet) in spec driven piping. Since the ASFILE offers "SIZE", "NSIZE" and "BSIZE" it should be somehow possible. What I tried in the ASFILE (unsucessfully): - Category: BRANCH and Code: BRANCH_REDUCING --> this seems not to work if there is a value for NSIZE - Category: REDUCER and Code: INLINE_REDUCING --> the part can be selected in the "insert Fitting" dialogue, but the drop-down-list for "new size" remains empty (message: no Fitting Name from autoselect). Also tried to Combine BRANCH with INLINE_REDUCING and REDUCER with BRANCH_REDUCING, same result. Any Ideas?
Hello guys. I'm learning creo by following model tree of completed prt file example. I have some questions about sweep cut function, <ㅡㅡ Top view of a button (Example file) <ㅡㅡ Bottom(inner) view of a button above.(sweep cut) ㅡㅡ> Upper blue colored chain is a trajectory curve which is chosen in Example file. ㅡㅡ> Orange colored line is a cross-section profile which is selected in Example file. Descriptions below are what I've done. # I made datum plane above top plane and projected trajectory(blue colored chain in above picture) too. # After that, I activated sweep, and selected a trajectory above. # I sketched cross-section view same with above picture. # Finally, I completed sweep cut, and error message occurred saying that 'One side edge detected.' In this situation, What should I do? What is the cause of this failure? Plz help me...
I created a Default Rep in a part, but now I can not edit it, activate it, or even remove it. Anyone familiar with this problem?
Are there T-slot nut inserts available for ITEM profiles?
Hi All, I am developing an user interface for protoolkit application by using the creo UI editor. As the creo ui editor is structured in a grid form, I could not set a back ground image in the created application UI. The background image is required to add some labels on it. Kindly suggest some ideas. Thank you!
Hi, I've been using Creo (pro/E) for 12 years now. Since the very beginning I always wanted to ask this question. Is the Creo GUI capable of showing multiple open parts/assemblies within a single maximized window (just on separate tabs)? Like ordinary windows softwares do (for instance Draftsight or Photoshop). I usually use 2 Creo shells in parallel on the same computer and it's really hard to keep track of which shell is which unless I use e.g. different background colours to identify them. But then I would need to use 2 separate config.pro-s if I wanted this to happen automatically. Many thanks, Adam
Hi, I have assign material in Creo 3.0 M120 ,but I observes its not changing automatically ,earlier it get changed by assigning the material. On Mass property it showing incorrect values. Any Solution!!!
I will like to then I have a drawing open then I start my script, be able to open the part on the drawing orient part in default view and then export a TIFF file of the part. I can open the part and export the TIFF file, but I can't orient the part. If I run "window.GetModel().RetrieveView("Front");" there I start my script from a part it works, but then I call this then I have a drawing open: private static void OrientPart(Session MySession, Model model) throws jxthrowable { // MySession is the current session // model is the drawing there the Jlink is started Drawing drawing = (Drawing) model; String FileType = ""; Models solids = drawing.ListModels (); Solid solid = (Solid)solids.get (0); // first model on the drawing
