Dear All, creo material appearance I observe strange behaviour of creo in assigning colour that match material's appearance setup - part turn white after assigning material. /my version 5.0.1.0, but it also was in previously installed 4.0/ Behaviour: Assign material to a part There is no colour - part turns white from default colour I modify the appearance /default appearance/ Save this material - by save to library Assign modified material to a part colour was taken from the material appearance correctly When I turn off the creo and reopen it Assign same material modified before There is no colour Part turns white In material properties of this material Nearly all colours in material appearances window, turned white In my config.pro appearance catalog, color.dmt file - is set to default Creo 5.0.1.0\Common Files\graphic-library\appearances How to fix it? Is there any options that controls this behaviour? Thanks in advance for your help. Reg
Hello, I install Creo 6 but I can't launch it. I have this message after launching. How can i solve this problem. Best regards
Hello, Is it possible to change the "startmodel" template of an existing model? For example: I've added a new combined view to my default template, and I want this view also added to all the parts I made in the past with this template. Thanks.
Hi guys, I am having a problem with Creo View. It is the free version. I design something and guys in workshop need to open the assembly so they can actually assembly it. We use free version of Creo View for this. They open the main assembly though the company network and some parts will not load. As shown on the picture. This is just a basic model of a conveyor but as you can see somme parts are missing from the drive mechanism also the conveyor belt didnt load up and lots of other parts too. I circled some in the model tree. As you can see they are not ticked but when I try to click on it it just wont do anything. I think the parts would load or something. Would you have any ideas why this is happening? Thanks Radek.
I am getting an error because evidently there is too many characters on one line for an OR statement in the repeat region table filters. Does anyone know how to continue on next line or another work around? E.g. &asm.mbr.DESCRIPTION==*O-RING*,*BACK*UP*,*D*RING*,*SOLO*SEAL*,*PAR*BA*,*D*SEAL* The above line is an example of too many characters on one line and Creo not accepting it...even after I delete the spaces (which oddly helps even though Creo will put the spaces back in when you hit ok...very fickle). It would also be nice if we could do OR statements for different parameters...but maybe that is asking too much. E.g. &asm.mbr.name == 600*,&asm.mbr.DESCRIPTION==*o-ring*,*back*up*ring*
Hey, I'm running 3.0 M080. I've recently had my internal browser drop out completely, and I can't trace it to any specific action that caused it. When I open Creo, the "3DModelSpace" and "Browser" tab pop up automatically, but nothing loads. It sits blank and idle with no loading indicator regardless of if I type in a web address or select Windchill Cabinets/Workspace from the Common Folders navigation pane. My server status is online, and I can swap workspaces successfully. In order to pull down WC items to a workspace, I have to add to the workspace from my browser, close out CREO, and it will propagate to the workspace upon restarting. I've already checked the normal culprits in my config file. These are my current browser settings: browser_limit_to_ie9_mode - yes windows_browser_type - ie_browser I've exhausted my help resources. Anyone have any ideas?
Hello, How do I create an offset between annotation dimension and a plane? See picture: If I change the height of this cube, the dimension doesn't keep the offset, but disappears behind the cube. I want these dimensions to automatically move in the same direction as the cube.
Good morning, I am working on some parts that was created not using astart part. I am trying to figure an easy way to import the parameters intothis part using a mapkey for later use if needed. In the parameter table Ido not see any import function. I am able to do a copy and paste fromanother part with the parameter I need to the new part. I am thinking if Ican write a relation to create the new parameter as a string of some textand then delete the text then I can get the parameter in using importrelations. Example: MATL=CRST_NUMBER=T-80020 Thanks. Son T. Nguyen108 W. 2nd StreetAssaria, Kansas 67416785-667-7763
Hello, Is it possible to shorten a profile (in a combined view), and keep the same mass properties. This way I can make a readable drawing of a long profile. Now, if I want to make a drawing on A4 paper, with a 3000mm long profile, the dimensions are not readable at all.
Hi there! I have to merge two pipes. But problem is that the end of one pipe is ''floating'' somewhere in the space, and another one is settled on the top plane. I can not make another sweep to merge this two, beacuse I can not find out how to draw a trajectory which will connect ends of pipes. Can anbody help me out with this? Btw. I use PTC Creo 4.0.
Hi We can identify aliased URL for model using API ProServerModelNameToAliasedURL(). This URL can be used to check-out model from windchill. My query is that can we find all objects presents into windchill and from name of the those CAD objects, I would like to get aliased URL. Is it possible through toolkit to get list of objects present in Windchill? Thanks and Regards Ketan
For ISO holes, the "effective radius surface" exists as shown. However, the ProToolkit API ProSolidSurfaceVisit does not visit the "effective radius surface".Assuming there is no feature tree in the model (for environments where ProElem cannot be used, such as step data or MIR assembly), is there an idea to distinguish ISO holes from generic holes? Please share your knowledge. Thanks, Warm Regards, SeonHo Cha
In older versions of Creo, i.e. Creo2, you could show Datum Tags from the base model that was used in a Merge/Inheritance feature. In Creo4 they will not show up. This is how we typically create our sand casting drawings. The sand cast core model will have a Datum Feature Symbol (Datum Tag) on a bore, for example, and we want to show that datum in the drawing. Can anyone help with this? TIA.
Hello, We have customer who sometimes tell us to make parts with general tolerance Js13. Is there a way to define the parts tolerance with Js13 ? For the moment we define every dimension, but if we could do it on a general basis it would make us save time.
Does anyone know of a way to select all Draft Entities by Line Style or Line Font? Have a 2D drawing being converted and the Fonts didn't come over properly. Trying to figure out a way to mass change the line style. You can search for Draft Entities but there aren't any refinements that bring back only select groups of the lines. Even tried with layer rules, no luck. Thanks,
I made a blend with 2 sections, it says it generated successfully, but then when I move onto the next step of trying to create rounds on the edges, the blended part I just created doesn't appear for me to select? What do I do?
Previous erroneous Subject Heading: 2D Detailing / MBD: New Text and Symbol Fonts -------------------------------------------------------------- Does anyone know of a good way to convert a string to a number so number operations can be performed? For example, a simplified version of what I want to do is: pn_end2=extract(asm_mbr_name,5,2) /******e.g. pn_end2="12" (they will *always* be numbers but could also be something like 02) pn_compare="07" /*Convert to number using my made up string to number function ston (instead of ntos) pn_end2_num=ston(pn_end2) pn_compare_num=ston(pn_compare) IF pn_compare_num<pn_end2_num <do something> ELSE <do something else> ENDIF ------------------------------------------------- Any ideas on how to do this?
Hello all! To start, I do locally (without Windchill).Created the mc_dup_model.bin file, as written in the requirements. But duplicates are still not searched. I understand that the values of the forms will be entered exactly in this file, but something goes wrong. Also, Windchill will need to be configured, but there are also incomprehensible points here: it is necessary to create global attributes associated with certain model parameters. How to create attributes in Windchill? Best regards!
Hello, I am using the Web.Link API and have the following problem: I am currently trying to build upon the pfcFamilyMemberExample. I have modified the code to select all features instead of dimensions and now I want to add a row where all features are disabled by default. This is the code I have so far: var session = pfcGetProESession(); var solid = session.CurrentModel; ... var value = pfcCreate("MpfcModelItem").CreateBoolParamValue(false); var values = pfcCreate("pfcParamValues").Append(value); solid.AddRow("NewChild", values); However this does not end with the correct result, as the new row is created but the value is set to default and not false. All ideas how to solve this are greatly appreciated!!
Hi all, I have a problem that I can't get my head around ... My toolkit is simply exporting a table into something similar to a CSV but customize to our needs, it works fine when I run it on a drawing where the table (9 columns) as multiple lines (assembly drawing). The problem occurs when I run it on a drawing with a similar table but that as only one line (9 columns). The major difference between both table, that I can see, is that the one for assembly as a repeat region including all columns, as for the second case the repeat region is only on certain cells. The first one as text in the first three columns, then some empty. In the case of the single line table I have text from the fourth column. So base on the description of the function I am using "ProDwgtableCelltextGet" I should get one of these two results: //Write BOM table text to a text file with delimiter char* MyTextChar = NULL; char* SepTxt = "|"; ShowMessage(" Number of columns : %d .... Number of rows : %d",
Sometimes explaining my problem on this forum helps me state the obvious and resolve the problem myself. Talking thru it if you will. I have a drawing that requires both inches and millimeters in that order. If I adjust the tolerance or decimal places for the inch.... the millimeters adjusts what would seam appropriately. I suppose a tolerance is a tolerance and should not matter if the millimeter to rounds up or down. Im trying to match another drawing is a challenge to get the millimeters to fall in suit to match other drawings. Is the trick to adjust the nominal slightly to get the mm to follow suit? Hello all, I have been out of the Creo world for about 5 years and have recently been sucked back in (away from CAD). I am building a strut assembly for use as a library part. I have my family table built as well as all the relations written for dimension control other than the min/max I am struggling to figure out. Because this is a library part that could be used across multiple projects (and for BOM purposes) I did not use mechanisms and instead made it a flexible part. The strut assembly has an extension rod that gets cut to size on site, but has a min/max based on the strut model you purchase. There are 11 different strut options, each with a separate min/max range (listed below): Size A - 9.625 to 53.125 Size B - 10.125 to 99.125 Size C - 10.125 to 111.125 Size 1 - 11.375 to 110.375 Size 2 - 11.375 to 110 Size 3 - 11.375 to 108.5 Size 4 - 13 to 108 Size 5 - 13 to 106.5 Size 6 - 13 to 104.75 Size 7 - 15 to 102.5 Size 8 - 17.25 to 98 &n
Hai all, Please let me know how to place a newly added component to bottom of a existing BOM (as a last item in existing BOM). Right now the newly added components are added as position number-1 in BOM and the existing item which was in Position No- 1 is pushed to position number-2.
Hi, I've been working on reading Sketch from a part feature through API. With the APIs I can go upto Feature types and Subitems. In subitems I'm not able to find sketches. Could anyone please help? Thanks
Hi folks, do you have any idea if it is possible to achieve something similar in Creo??https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCgyi7r01-E regards Krzysiek
