Creo Modeling Questions

I am working on a lathe post for the first time in a while. Our lathe offset command needs to be 6 digits, tool nose radius, tool number, offset number like T010101. Is there a FIL command to make the 4 digit number repeat 2 more digits like the previous 2?

when i went in to sketch to make a roll cage around an engine. the solid model disappeared and i see tons on lines and what looks like the engine in a "outline" mode. i also have this problem when i am trying to mate things when assembling. please help me out

I have created a separate sketch (File - New - Sketch) and I would like to change the units of measure. I go to File - Prepare - Model Properties, but the Model properties option is grayed out. How can I change the units of measure in sketch

I need to get the path in the save as dialog box . I was able to get the model name. But cant able to get the file save as path.

I have created a simple rotating disc and a small mass (a block) and I want to sit the small mass on top of the rotating disc and apply friction, so that when the disc reaches a ceratin angular velocity the mass will slide off .How do I constrain the two together so that the block is almost free and that only the friction between the two components holds them together?Thanks.

what is the benefit of the introduction of taper option in extrude?when there is a full fledged separate draft option.too many same time of options create a lot of confusion like in ...solidworks...there are three known option to select sketch..either through the main tool bar,or right click or by pressing "S".this over simplification is not necessary.

I'm an IT person for a student lab that has CREO 2.0 [MO20]. When working on a project, if a student chooses hidden lines and then hits the extrude button, the program bombs with an error to check the traceback.log. Any info would be a appreciated.

Hi everyone, there is a question i have been meaning to ask for a while. When creating Boundary Blend surfaces, what exactly are influencing curves? I use this functionality almost every day, but have never used this option. I am wondering if i am missing out on a whole world of possibilities by not understanding what they are, when to use them, how to use them. There is very little guidance in the help centre. Hello,I guess until I get access to the PTC Community page internally which I have requested I will need to use the old fashion way of asking for some advice.How are Creo administrators handling the Creo Help deployment on a global basis?With the size of the help system I am look at placing Help on our master file vault and replicated Windchill file vaults in Europe and Asia Pacific.Using that strategy how are you pointing clients in each region to the correct server?We use 4 digit facility codes for each building and the user's computer name has that for that facility code.I was think of adding a call to the Creo start file based off %COMPUTERNAME% to point to the correct help URL.Anybody have any better ideas?Thanks in advance.Regrds,John Schaaf

Is it possible from the "File" Open" command to open multiple files?If you type in "ABCDE*" and 8 files are shown and you want to open two of them together. Can you pick two and open both of them? Or just sequentially?Thanks, Dale

Hello,We are currently on Creo/Elements (Wildfire 5). It looks like we are going to begin discussions next week about upgrading to either Creo 2 or 3. Other than the obvious learning curve to either, are there any concerns or considerations that we should be aware of to help in our decision on which one to upgrade to?
