Hello,I tried to trajectory mill with 3 axes in PTC Creo 3.0 a contour (see image below) like in this tutorial explained:Tutorial: Using the User Interface for Trajectory MillingThe problem that occurs is that the cutter stays in z-direction at the reference plane and does not follow the contour in z-direction. It is only 2.5D milling and not 3D.Any idea how I can change this? Here's a screenshot of the settings:http://www.imgbox.de/users/public/images/5BEHscQJLI.JPGMany thanks for your help!

I'm excited that development work on PTC University Precision LMS 8.0 is complete and we're entering the final testing phase before release. Precision LMS 8.0 introduces a new capability for user self-registration. If you are a license administrator of Precision LMS, you can create and manage license activation codes. You can then send these codes to users whether or not they have an account on Precision LMS. The users can self-register in Precision LMS with the activation code and an account on www.ptc.com and Precision LMS will automatically be created and the license assigned. We've also streamlined and unified the Precision LMS login page to provide a much better user experience whether you are logging in with a password for eLearning, participating in an instructor-led training class, or self-registering with an activation code. I've posted a short 7 minute “sneak peek” demo video to PTC University Learning Exchange. I've looking forward to releasing Pr

Hi, guys, our company requested us to use Creo 3.0 recently, and we found below two issues very boring related to Creo drawing, anyone have any idea about how to solve them? Thanks.1. When we use Creo 3.0 to open the drawings that we created before by Creo 2.0 or older version, some letters becaome bigger, not suitable for the table anymore, see below picture, those letters are all within the table cells if we open the drawing by Creo 2.0, this is very boring, cause we have to change the font size one by one everytime if we need to update old drawings. 2. After we updated some content in a table cell, if we want to update some other content in other table cells, we found that we can not directly click the cell we want to update, have to click on some blank place a few times, really don't know how to use the new table & note edit method in the Creo 3.0, any way have a tutorial that can let me know how to use them? Thanks.
I am trying to utilize the 30 training for cad however I keep getting the community. Can you please provide me a link.@

This week I tried something that I've been anxious to get to for a long time.I built my 1st Spine Bend model. At 1st I was elated, but then I compared the model against the original model which has already proved out with accuracy. The bend is good with simple rotations but the angles off the "V" shape weave inside and out of the correct position. (The largest error is .075, we need to hold within .010)See picture of the trouble angles. As far as I can tell the angle itself looks fairly good, it's just appears that the "V" position weaves in and out. There isn't much documentation of what the Options do, perhaps one of these Options might help.I have watched Leo Greene's excellent You Tube tutorial, but it doesn't hit on what I'm needing to control.Would anyone know how to stabilize the "V" position on a Spine Bend?
PTC University Expert Model Analysis 2.2 was released on March 30, 2015. The main new feature for this release is Report Comparison. What’s new in XMA 2.2: Report Comparison The report statistics and analysis from two or more XMA reports can be exported to an Excel spreadsheet so they can be compared side by side. This is useful for monitoring the improvement of a set of models over time or comparing the quality of different product lines. The comparison is organized in a matrix where the rows contain the metrics and the columns contain the different reports. Each XMA user will have a different point of view of what they want to focus their comparison on. And when presenting to management and end users it will be helpful to filter the number of metrics shown in the comparison to a small number of metrics that can easily be digested. To help the XMA user simplify the comparison for their target audience, the rows are organized in groups that align with the
I did a search and found lots of questions, essentially no answers since back when we had to do press fit simulations in the old independent mode, so I thought I would ask again.Anyone have some "guide/tutorial/best practice" document or webpage for doing press fit simulations? I have done the simple hand calculations, however while my interface is nice and cylindrical, the rest of the parts are non symmetrical. On top of that, I have a "stacked", double layer press fit. By that I mean, I have a cylinder with a roughly 1" thick ring pressed on to it, and another very thin ring pressed on to that. I will get some OD growth on the first ring that I need to account for on the second very thin ring. Add in the unique and non-symmetrical parts and it would be really nice to be able to do this in 3D...Thanks in advance...
When we were starting to plan our activities for PTC Live Global this year, we pretty quickly came to the conclusion that we should be paying tribute to Music City Nashville. As many of you know, we come to PTC Live Global with a new theme every year – from Engineering Superheroes to Fortune Cookies. And usually, the theme remains a secret until the big opening reception on the first day. Now, this year, we are breaking this rule (as the blog title suggested, it’s all about Rock’n’Roll….) and let you know the theme in advance…. drumroll….. From June 7-10, 2015 our mission will be to turn you into Engineering Rockstars! At the conference, we are offering a huge amount of training classes so you can develop rockstar skills. On top, we have a lot of fun activities planned for our booth and every one of our attendees will find a little “Engineering Rockstar Kit” in the bags they get upon signing in at the venue. Bring this kit to our booth in the Solutions Expo and participate in our Rocks

Hi,I've never performed a sensitivity analysis in CREO before and was given a tutorial to follow. Unfortunately this tutorial is from 2001 and what ever Pro/E version they were using back then and I can't follow it due to the differences in the programs. It's a very simple analysis of maximizing the volume of water in a hand-pump.Could anyone help me with creating this analysis. Or if there are other simple sensitivity analysis pdf tutorials out there for Mechanisms.I've included the tutorial which is in the zipped folder with the assembled model and the exercise on sensitivity analysis which is only 3 pages long with large text and diagrams, starts on the pdf page number 120. (The boundary conditions start page 116).It's really just Exercise 2, those three pages I need help interpreting to Creo 2.0.Would I be right in saying you actually create the measures in MDX not BMX and then go to BMX after the measures are created?I should mention that this sensitivity analysis is coming from a
