Is there any way to create a user defined parameter in the .asm file to capture quantities of parts then use that in a note?I know you can get the quantity from the BOM but in I need more detailed because we use a lot of parts and subassembly so the subassembly can be shown in the BOM but not as a note in order to show it in the selected sheet of each part from the subassembly. currently we put this note manually so we have a several of issues   

In an assembly I want to visit all the ProCsys with a certain name and then get there coordinates. I have tried several examples which use ProSolidCsysVisit(), including the ProUtilCollectSolidCsys() and ProUtilCsysFind() functions. I know how to get the coordinates with the ProSelection typ by selecting a Csys with ProSelect() but now I have to use the ProCsys typ. But I also think I am not using the functions ProUtilCollectSolidCsys() and ProUtilCsysFind() correctly because I don´t get a list of ProCsys, only one value.Can someone help me to understand this? There are also some things I didn´t find any explanation, like what is the "handle to the solid" or what does "PRO_TK_E_NOT_FOUND" mean? Thanks a lot!Tim

Hi folks,   Please look at simple assembly flex_top_asm.asm. It contains one component flex_part2.prt.  In part thre are defined: a) 3 dimensions as flexible (open file in new window, then File >  Prepare > Model Properties > Flexible > Dimensions); b) 3 parameters as flexible (open file in new window, then File >  Prepare > Model Properties > Flexible > Parameters);   Based on PTC sample I've modified method, that should be started on asm level. As a result, component flex_part2.prt will be changed into flexible one, and in Varied Items table dimensions will be shown.   Question is: How to do it with parameters. We went from 4.0 to 7.0.  Now the imbedded browser window graphics is too large for the window it is in.  I changed the % size of the main window display in Options but this had no affect on the relative size of the graphics within the window. I have tried other Options settings and not found anything to help.  It is the same regardless of the monitor size and/or display resolution as well. Checkout the pic below.  This is nearly useless! 

Using CP 4.  Corporate recently re-deployed a new install of CP4 to a different path.  Between the "old" install and "new" install, there are some differences that we are trying to reconcile. On the user interface, I like the min toolbar on the left side and with different icons.  I can customize it for this session. But I can't make it persistent between Creo sessions. The Creo help wasn't helpful.  It doesn't explain how to save the mini toolbar settings.  Implicit is that persistence is supposed to be automatic?? In the "old" CP 4 install, my min toolbar and icons correctly appeared on the left side of the graphics window across Creo sessions. How do I pin the location to the left, update icons, and make it persistent across Creo sessions?

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 7.0 (connected) 7.0 7.0.0.0The Creo Parametric Toolkit has a function called ProMechsurfacesAncestorsGet that retrieves the Creo Parametric surfaces used to derive a Creo Simulate surface. Creo Parametric 7.0 introduced support for multiple bodies. Is there a similar toolkit function (or set of functions) that can be used to retrieve the Creo ProSolidBody that a Simulate ProMechSolid is derived from? Thank you.

Hello,   We are trying to see different size of sections on the right size depending on the left side object that we sellect. We want to see different product lists if we select "BORU, KARE MIL OR PROFİL..." which are the section types we use in our designs. Could you give a support to make this in Creo? Is there a way to access functions from the Piping and Cabling (PCX) extension with the Object Toolkit? There is nothing defined in the documentation about extensions.

Hello All,   I have this situation where I create a drawing and I add a complicated geometric tolerance with text and symbols etc, which is fine and required for the design.   But when I want to add a new geometric tolerance it shows the complicated one. Meaning I have to delete all the text, symbols etc. I think Creo remembers the previous one. Is there a way that I could get a blank slate every time when I add a new geometric tolerance?   Best regards,   Vincent

Hi Everyone, How do I create a diameter dimension using the free VB API (I'm using C#)? Additionally, the selection must be programmatic. I'm selecting an edge entity, using empty dimension senses, and no orientation hint. I know everything aside from orientation is working because it successfully creates a radius dimension (instead of diameter).
