How are attachments added to masterdata in Model Manager?
Trying to install Creo3 m130. Nothing but creo agent errors on the two that I've done. Looks like this has been going on in the Creo world for a couple years. So the solution is to jerry rig the install by setting creo_agent_exe_path? This seems like a simple to fix, should PTC not simply fix the install? I have concerns about this. What about my current production Creo Elements pro version that still needs to be running? Will this need to change with every install? Am I submitting to a lifetime of babysitting this env variable for 150 people?
Hi guys, I was wondering if it is possible to download a trial version or a student version of the Creo Elements/Direct Drafting 19.0 software? If so, where can i find it? Thanks in advance!
Danke!
I have installed creo element/direct recently. And I want to learn CED with quickstart project. But when I clicked the help menu button. It popped up a window which displayed an error message that CED couldn't find the help information in the install directory.I have aleady installed java. Does anyone have the same problem? Picture below is the error message. It shows an error - "DirectModelling_zh_CN[]" and the install directory which help menu may be.
Hi There, I'm looking for the variable that limits the Model Manager search Results to 2,00 results. I would like to change this variable to a larger number for a particular search. Any info is greatly appreciated. TIA! -john
Is there a way of converting a Creo Elements/Direct model into a ProE (.prt) format or other common format? as I am trying to get a quote from a company who are unable to read the PK2 or BD2 format. They can also read all the common formats like .sldprt, .igs .stp .sat .ipt and .dwg etc. So a converter for any of these would be great. I have failed to find any such converters within the Creo Elements/Direct package I have.
Hello guys, I want to know how I can generate a report from a diagram where I can explain the elements, the caliber, size, color, among others aspects...
Hello, I have a static analysis (Creo Simulate) with nonlinear material model, large deformation. I simulate a flat bending process where the input boundary condition is the displacement of bending tool - it changes in the funcion of time. The element number is ~ 11000 but I think, the simulation is very slow. I use win7 with 32GB RAM and 12 processors. The solver (during the calculation) use ~1.5 - 2 GB memory, and ~10% CPU. This model is a test only. The real model will include more elements, I think, and so the calculation time can be very long... How can be increased the running speed? How can I induce the solver to use more memory and CPU%? Thanks a lot; Roland
Hi community people, I am VERY unfamiliar with 3D drawing tools, so please bear with me... I am trying to create an object, which "almost" is a 2-D drawing, which must be pulled 30mm. But the Top/Bottom surfaces are a little bit different. I have tried to define 2 surfaces "Top"/"Bottom", but I do not know how to combine these and add the missing surfaces. I have tried to use "Gather Faces" without success Am I doing it totally wrong? Best regards Martin PS: I am using "CREO Elements Direct".
Is there a way to open a pointcloud in Creo Elements Direct 19.0?
I am currently using/learning Creo Direct Drafting (Creo Elements) v19 - strictly 2D drafting. A question has come up in our weekly team meeting about Keyboard Shortcuts. Are there any standard keyboard shortcuts for Creo Elements? For example, in I-DEAS "FS" will save the drawing. Thanks Elizabeth
hi all, I'm trying to figure out what beam theory is used in Simulate with beam elements. Is it Timoshenko's theory is which a section can rotate or is it Eulers-Bernouillis theory in which a cross section is always considered to be perpendicular to the neutral viber? Unfortunately i cannot trace it in the help-files (is the anwer very well hidden in there?) . Thanks, Peter
Hello All, I am working on ROPS analysis ( Large deformation analysis). I have couple of questions related to analysis. 1. Since the 2D shell does not support large deformation analysis with elastic-plastic material properties, I am meshing the structure with Solid elements. I am not able to map meshed it because of complex joints in model, so my first question is will I have a lot of convergence issue if i model with Solid Tet elements. If Yes, what are the precautions i need to take if i want to continue with Tet mesh? 2. What is the best way to run sequential analysis, as the load sequence change in ROPS. IS there any option like model change as used in Abaqus. 3. How to run restart analysis? I am new to Creo simulate and trying to replicate analysis which was done in Abaqus before, so need some information for the same. Hi all, We have been using Model Manager v17.0 for 5 years. We don't use any other module of PTC Creo as we are using Siemens Solid Edge as our CAD software. We think that it is time to update Model Manager but we'd like to wait to v20.0. I have found some info about PTC Creo E/D v20.0 but all news about Model Manager that I can find is about tools to migrate to Windchill but none about developing of v20.0. Do you know if Model Manager v20.0 is going to be developed? Should we migrate to Windchill? Thank you very much in advance! This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I have a model but i want to split it in half, becase i would have then a half less finite elements. It is symetrical model. I am currently working on a big project with my company and I am needing to use layers. I have looked on PTC e-support but it isn't offering any help, I have followed the articles for help first but it hasn't done anything for me. It seem like no-body use layers in Creo Elements but it would be nice to learnThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. In our company we have Creo Elements Drafting with server-side startup scripts loaded, that include a lot of text notes in Shift-JIS encoding. The default language of Creo Drafting 18.1 is Japanese. When trying to use change_locale 'en' the Creo Drafting standard menus, and buttons are switched to English words, but the program completely looses the ability to load any script with Japanese text inside. Windows 7x64 has Japanese system locale set up. Is there a way to force English standard menu/buttons, while keeping Japanese locale for reading scripts in Shift-JIS?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Customer has INDEX mill/turn NC machine with SINUMERIK 840D control system. This machine can have upto four turrets which could work independently. Movements of the individual turrets can be combined arbitrary. Each turret is programmed via separate NC program so called "channel". Inside of the control system, these channels can be synchronized via special programming elements called "waiting marks". CREO 3.0 is able to prepare mfg models for such types of the machines. Unfortunately CL-data are generated into the one CL-file. But I have no idea how to split postprocessor's output into upto four separate NC programmes-"channels". A couplet years ago, I opened the case on it. But without any solution. Does anybody of you have real positive experiance with this, in conjuction with CREO and G-POST?This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team.
