Guys,Can some one give me a solution on a simple round mill sequence. I try to add an entry distance and an exit distance on below picture. Hi,   I would like to create a slot along a path to create the same results and in the picture below. However I would like to do it slightly differently by sketching a circle on the origin and have that circle follow the path to create a slot just like a mill would do by plunging the cutter into the workpiece. I am at a loss on how to do this or if it is even possible in Creo 3.0. Anyone using full prismatic 5 axis milling? Have years of 3 and 4 axis mill experience. In 4 axis I would program to a coordinate system set at each index position then pick it for each tool path at that position. In 5 axis I should be able to program to one known point at the center of rotation for hogouts and not have to pick up the zero once the machine numbers are known.Haven't gotten there yet and I need to setup my 5 axis machines this way. Any help would be appreciated. Also when using custom trajectory unlike 3 axis you need to define if the path is 34 or 5 axis. Any tips on this one would help. Has anyone had issues with Rest Finishing in CREO 3.0?I created a Rest Finishing sequence in CREO 2.0 with no problems. After moving up to CREO 3.0 and opening the Manufacturing file, This sequence no longer generates Toolpath and gives me an error saying:   "Tool path could not be created; Please check the setup.   Select a coordinate system.   An Operation must be activated or created to define new steps."This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. The graphical performance and capabilities of PTC Creo have been enhanced in version 3.0. This post will cover how bend relief creation is enhanced in the PTC Creo Parametric Sheet Metal Design Bend Tool. Don Breda, CAD Product Manager, explains how bend reliefs are automatically created for you in PTC Creo 3.0:   In PTC Creo 3.0 bend reliefs are now automatically placed at the ends of bend lines and as needed along each line. This bend line relief handling means that you can quickly and easily bend a portion of an existing wall into a tab. To create a bend, select the Bend function in the Bends group on the Model tab in a Sheet Metal part. This will open the Bend Tool dashboard. Select an edge as a reference, and use the offset dragger to locate the bend line offset from that edge. I've been trying to model a locking feature that utilizes a keyway that is on a cylindrical surface.  The keyway starts as a vertical cut then goes into an angle then dips down to lock a pin in place on a mating part.  I've been trying to use a Helical Sweep, but the cut that it provides does not stay normal to the cylindrical surface, it forms a curved bottom surface, even though my cross section is rectangular.  I'm trying to get the keyway to mimic the path that would be cut using a 4-axis CNC milling machine.  Can anyone help?   This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. With Creo 3, we're starting to see PTC release new features by specific builds rather than versions.  Some of the Unite technology wasn't fully implemented until M030 and now we see that the 3D printing integration features coming online at M040 (Did You Know? Good morning, I am working on a part that has a back angle that I am trying to machine with a .062" radius keyway cutter. I collected the surfaces but ProMan wont allow to use a key cutter for a surface sequence. I tried using profile but no luck. The feature I am trying to machine is the orange surface. Only other option is I am thinking to use is create individual curves at each .01" depth and do it the hard and manual way. What a joke these are for manufacturing.Just got the latest edition of the tech support bulletin  and they have a link to How to access and download Pro/NC manufacturing and GPOST training material. Hi allI have had a situation which is outside my normal turning duties, which I had to us a 16mm neutral triangle insert to machine a groove, we are machining without cutter comp, so the correct setup output point should be tip, but when I run the program in Vericut, the result is under cutting the groove, see belownow to get this to work properly in vericut, I had to alter the tools tracking point  to represent an X_OFFSET arrangement, see below.This worked with the tool path generated by Creo.I now set the TIP OUTPUT to X_offset , and reset the vericut tool to a neutral tip, and it works properly ??????So Creo is treating the tip output as followsTIP = X_OFFSETX_OFFSET = TIPThis is a major bug for an engineering software to have. Manufacturing: Comment in sequence: Is it possible to switch off the save button? I want to change, without confirm the change. If there is not a possibility, can I do anything else, that I get a Question to confirm thechange, like "do you want save the change - yes/no" I think, the way to do that now, is not the best way. Hello there,I have been trying to simulate material removal for mill/turn toolpaths in vericut. The workcell is Mill-turn 5 axis (see attached file).The tool orientation is right while reviewing toolpath on Creo. Hoever it is chaging in Vericut. We are a captive mold and stamping shop that has grown steadily over the years. Can anyone explain how to use Windchill to manage (more importantly, to store) data such as drawing symbols and material files? My users are asking me to place these files in Windchill, so they have easy access to retreieve them while using Pro/E. In theory, it seems very logical, since it can manage the revision history of these files (or lock them from being inadvertently modified), plus... it acts as a common server, especially nice, since we don't have one for our group.As it is now, every user has to have a copy of these files local on their machine.I've had no luck in trying to find info on how to use Windchill to accomplish this. I would like to hear from anyone using Windchill to store and or release their CNC files.What you are using to push the CNC file to the machines?Did you create an API or use an existing one?
