Pro/E used to have the option to use a part to subtract material from another. Does Creo 2.0 have this? I can't find it, or find anything on the web in this regard. I use pprint tool_table to output my tool list in G_code program, only problem is my CNC screen is too small, there is big gap between two colomn, how can I delete those gap.

Anyone out there using Pro Nc to program multi-turret lathes? A while back I tried to upgrade M080 Creo2 to M100 and was unable to get it going due to graphics issues. I heard rumorthat it was due toPTCwas forcing us into running only approved graphics card machines. I did not have time to scour the PTC world looking for answers then.The fact is I have been able to run WF3 thru Creo2 M080 on an $900 HP Pavillion M7 without ANY issues whatsoever. I am looking to upgrade to 3 soon and need to know if I need to buy a new machine. Using Modeling Express 6.0New user here - so problem likely on my end!I added an image to trace around, to ultimately make a 3D model of a cookie cutter, for 3D printing.I trace over image in 2D, using splines and arcs (tracing angel wings in this case). I then try to select this trace to offset slightly. I work in the IT department for a Manufacturing company. I have an end user with a new Dell Precision M2800 laptop. According to PTC, this model laptop meets all the requirements for the program to run. Every time the user opens Pro-E, he is able to open up a file to view a 3D part, but it Pro-E crashes immediately after that. He is using a compatible AMD video card. Is there a setting within the AMD Catalyst Control Center that needs to be changed? I have tried updating the video drivers as well. I find that we spend a lot of time and create many features to model in mold gas escape vents especially on contoured parting lines.Some sweeps will only go so far around the projected cure so you will have to make multiple sweeps, merge them all together, and make a solid cut with the surfaces (see attached image, vents are in red). The programmers will then use these cut to program the vents. Depending on the complexity of the parting line, this can take many hours and features. Engineering wants to be able print large format in color. We have a Xerox 6604 ps that does a very good job. Would like to replace it with a machine just as dependable but with color capabilities.Do any of you have anyrecommendations? In creo 3.0, manufacturing geometries layers does not work. In the rule editor, Mill Volume, Mill surface, Mill window are listed, but there is nothing in the content... We used to have Proe 2001 on our Workstations We still have the License but that versions need WIndowsXP my question is to you is there any way we can open our old files Drawing files in particular with some other software? I was told we could use PTC Express Desktop but could not get an Activation Key for that. Any help I would appreciate. Or any other way of transferring the drawing files to DXF. Hello   I am trying to use family table for manufacturing file. I would like to add different name for the machining operation when you activate an instance. For example, is it possible to add a global parameter named NUM_OP which is different for each instance (please look at the attached picture) and to add a relation to automatically rename the machining operation? I encounter a situation from time to time in WF5, and now in Creo in which a drill appears to retract to the retract plane in the tool path view - but when viewed in material removal simulation the drill travels through the part from on hole to the next. I am curious what other people do to overcome this?The operation is set to use the retract plane always. The retract plane is 3"Retract Parmeter is set at 3.85"The holes lie on a flange 180degrees apart from one another.The tool needs to retract after the first hole in order to clear the middle portion of this hub which is .85" taller than the flange. I have created a part model in creo 2.0.   I need to create two drawings from this part.   One drawing with all the features in the model tree. And one more drawing without certain features in the model tree.   (i.e) Machining features are at the end of the model tree in the casting model. Hello,I have a very fast computer (3.6Ghz Xenon Processor with 40GB of RAM) and Creo will not run any faster than it does on my simple laptop computer.Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas that will help improve the performance of the software? I have created a few UDFs to assist in programming hole drilling. They combine drilling, chamfering (actually just another drilling sequence with a spot drill), and tapping sequences. Depth is set using two planes (drilling depth and tap offset from bottom) controlled by variant dimensions. This also lets the depth for both the drilling and tapping be controlled in one place. Usually they work great, reducing the whole process to a few clicks. Unfortunately, they are not all equal. Some of them occasionally refuse to go onto a model; the only indication I even tried something is a message in the log stating:" Reference group is not present; group creation aborted." This does not happen with all models, nor with all the UDFs, and doesn't seem to happen at all with some of the UDFs. The UDFs were created piecemeal over several different models (as needed). Both the models used to create the UDFs and the ones I'm trying to place them on do vary. We've gone through several versions of Pro/

I have a situation where I need to add sketched lines onto the formed surface of a cylinder shaped sheetmetal part. Then I need to unbend the part to create the flat pattern for our manufacturing plant. The problem is, when I unbend the part, the sketches don't follow and stay on the surface. They either fail or are left floating in space. I also tried the reverse approach. I unbent the part first, added the sketches in the flat, then inserted a bend back feature. In this experiement, the sketches were suppressed in the formed version, and resumed in the flat pattern instance. This failed as well. Attached are screenshots to illustrate.Does anyone know how to accomplish this?
