Hi GuysHow can I generate G-Code for a 3D printer directly from a Creo model without relying on any third-party applications? Are there built-in tools or features within Creo that facilitate the creation of G-Code for 3D printing? I noticed that Creo has options for 3D printing, but it seems to prompt me to purchase a specific 3D printer.
Hai,We are into color coding in mould insert manufacturing. currently all inserts have to be coloured manually. Iam checking for option of coloring the inserts automatically in the software itself. Please refer below picture for example for the coloring requirement.The splitting work is done in manufacturing (mould cavity) mode. after splitting the insert is coming as below the requirement is at least fitting area color change to either brown or yellow automatically (both can be achieved will be great).kindly let me know how this can be made. Any help will be appreciated. Iam using Creo 7.

CUT_FEED = (CUTTER_DIAM/80)*SPINDLE_SPEED*2SPINDLE_SPEED = 150000/(3.14159*CUTTER_DIAM)STEP_DEPTH = 0.1*CUTTER_DIAMCLEAR_DIST = STEP_DEPTH+5If I set my parameters (for example, SPINDLE_SPEED), they are updated to default anyway.How can I change or remove these equations? Please help me solve this problem
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.5.0When I select gohome on Creo it ouputs G0 I need this to output G28 command is there a way to change that? I am currently using Option File Generator add on to modify post.
Let's say I brought a model into a manufacturing assembly. And, since I wasn't paying proper attention, it was just brought in as a "regular" assembled part. Now, realizing the error of my ways, I want to reclassify that part not as just a dumb component, but as a reference model. This would seem to be simple enough, There's an actual "Classify" button. But, every time I've ever tried that button, the message is always "This component cannot be reclassified". So, a simple question, what use is the Classify functionality? It never does anything for me. Is there some esoteric situation where it is actually useful? I can't just redo assembly of the model, because I've got a lot of toolpaths that already use it.

In our MFG file we have ~400-600 sequences per operation and doing the reordering of the of the sequence takes time.To apply these sequences, we used UDFs and in 2-3 clicks the sequences are applied.Using Process Manager, XML templates with priority options is not a good idea for us, the reason being we have a bunch of custom macros and will take longer to apply in Process Manager.Are you facing this problem on your MFG file?Do you have any solution or workaround to improve time during reordering of the sequences?I understood for other CAD Application reordering is very fast this is why CAM department is looking now for a different CAM software.
Hello, allI use volume rough with a large tool and then use local milling ( previous sequence ) to remove rest of material with samll tool. while I want to keep some area not to be machined by local milling step, can anyone help me on this? thanks
In creo 9.0.4.0, 540*160*5mm size, use mill window + volume rough with Diameter 8mm tool, and then followed by local milling with Diameter 4mm tool to remove residual material ( with pre-sequence in local milling ) , it takes 7 hours to complete path calculation, it is hard to continue my job. any comments for this issue? are any parameters wrong used in local milling?
I need to machine several deep Fins ( around 50mm in depth), in order to machine safely, I need to machine one Fin zone and then move to another zone. I use Mill window + Volume milling, found that volume milling always cut slice by slice from one Fin zone to another, instead cut each Fin zone to full depth, and then move to other Fin zone.Could you please help me to solve this issue? thanks,

Hi, I'm searching for a directory for milling clamping elements like vices, chucks and collets. Whithout the directory, the elements have to be saved in the corresponding working directory, which consumes a lot of storage space.I already tried to add "pro_mf_clamp_dir" in my config, but i guess this command only works for NC sheetmetal and not for milling. Software is Creo 8.0.5.0 Hope you can help me with this problem.Best regards,Simon
Simplest example - start new manufacturing ASM, select user-defined work center, go to edit machine, select tool menu, select tool, change something in the view of tool, say shank diameter, hit apply, Message "cannot dsipaly tool for current tool setup" So how can I modify existing tools?
Hello, I have a problem with the design of a tool. For machining a part i use a sawblade with a sawblade holder.https://www.haimer.biz/products/tool-holders/accessories/sawblade-holder/sawblade-holder.html When i design the tool in creo NC with a sketch, it takes as cutting reference the lower point of the tool.When i use the tool in my trajectory path, this is this point whirch is follow the trajectory.Even if i modify the sketch with construction segments...Is there a solution to define the cutting edges of the tool ? hello experts this is asif I have a question about variable feed. is it possible to add a variable feed on trajectory milling on different areas of trajectory .for example I have a trajectory whose length is 100mm. So I need the cutting feed from 0 to 25mm to be 50mm/minute then 25 to 50 to be 100mm/minute and so on so....I don't want to add a feed on G-codes manually...but right now manually add a feed on a different portion of G-codes.. need advice. regards asif
I am trying to use a conventional toolpath the finish the diameters of a tube with flanges welded on the ends. After generating the toolpath not all of the surface inside with milling window is being cut, attached it a picture of the toolpath. Initially I thought the toolpath was being trimmed so the tool would not interfere with the check surfaces, but after shrinking the milling window down that did not seem to change. Does anyone have ideas as to why the end of the toolpath is being trimmed like this?
I am trying to make a couple basic profile milling toolpaths and when posting out the program a G90 or G91 does not show up in the NC code. Initially I thought it was a problem with a setting in the gpost editor but after adding a bit of code I found on this message board into the FIL file it still does not show up. Looking at the .ncl file the command "SET / OFSETL, 90" is not found in the file. Is there a specific place in the mill, operation or toolpath setting where absolute of incremental programming can be set? On another note I would like to be able to insert a G187 P1 into some of my programs, this if for HSM on a HAAS control. I found in the gpost GUI where I can add bits of code before or after a tool change which would almost work. The kicker is I would like to be able to add a number 1, 2 or 3 somewhere in the toolpath parameters that could be written into the P1 portion of the G code (1 is for rouging and 3 is for finishing). Hi.I'm looking for a better solution to generate the tap (G code) file faster.Creating the G code from Creo takes more than 20 minutes for per component and at that time I cannot use Creo (Creo is busy with this conversion from NCL to Tap format.Do you know any solution to generate the Tap file remotely or using different approach and not keeping Creo busy with this conversion.Thx,CC

Hello all I am trying to use the manufacturing side of creo to make a couple basic parts and it seems to be not posting the G90 or G54 lines in the nc code, below is a screenshot of the beginning of the program. I've used a few other CAM systems but this is the first time I've tried using creo for machine toolpaths, so I might have something not set correctly. Below is the post I tried using, it said it was for a HAAS VF8. Does anyone know what I need to change so these 2 lines of code will be in the nc code output?

As you can see the green line is Y+ axis limit .How do I turn all 3 axis XYZ moves into X rotary Z moves?
The bore cycle in Creo Parametric 2.0 only seems to generate CYCLE / BORE which is G85. We need to bore, orient, back-off, and retract with G76. orient_angle and jog_dist doesn't output. Any way other than an Auxiliary Sequence all with CL STATEMENTS?
