I'm trying to find the work done to compress a gas by integrating a pressure-volume graph in terms of the crank angle of a piston. When using the integral function in Mathcad, an error comes up saying that these units are not comparable for p(theta). Any help would be appreciated.
Hi! I have a license for Mathcad 3.0. It is an educational license, and was acticated 2,5 years ago. Now I have bought a new computer, and should like to transfer the license to this. Somehow I cant find any sufficient information on how to do this in earlier posts, and would be very grateful for any help! It should be mentioned that the license is currently running on a Macbook through Parallels Desktop, and will be transferred to a Windows 10 Lenovo laptop. Kind regards, Morten from Denmark
Hello, everyone. I'm trying to create a MathCad sheet to dimensionate RC Columns submitted to Combined Bending and Compression, but I'm having trouble finding materials about this in the internet, mostly MathCad stuff. I was wondering if anyone has a sheet that calculates this or something similar to this, that could be sent to me. Thanks in advance, Daniel
This is a short worksheet that I need solving. It's easier to learn when I can see the solutions already. Please anyone help.
I posted a thread on here just a couple minutes ago, but it was rejected in the moderation stage: https://community.ptc.com/t5/PTC-Mathcad-Questions/Can-t-get-Mathcad15-to-accept-Prime4-license-but-support-wnats/m-p/485315 Why was it rejected? Please don't reject my posts like that. I'm not a spammer, so you don't have to block my posts.
2 weeks ago, Mathcad Prime 3.1 wouldn't start, the logo blinked and nothing happend... I uninstalled at removed every trace of the program, re-installed and tries countless times to do this.. nothing worked.. I got so pissed that I formatted the whole PC! finally.. Mathcad worked again.. for 4 **bleep**ing days! yet again this **bleep**ty supported and made program is failing, without reason!
This is the displayed message:The file type is not supported. Log file is located at C:\ProgramData\PTEc\MathcadPrime\Logs\MathcadPrime_Exception_20170610_125046.log
How do I download and install Mathcad 15 M030?I have Mathcad 15.0 (15.0.0.436 [006041742]).Thank you.-Jeff
Hello PTC Community, I just removed Mathcad Prime 3.1 to install the 4. version. But in during the installation process, the installation fails at just 1%. What is the reason for this?
Can anyone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong? I can't seem to get a plot that shows, Eavg on the y-axis and Eavg(C1) on the x-axis...
To debug module (reference file) I need to have an area with input variables in the beginning of the module. I want to enable them in case of debuging and disable after. Is it possible? Does Prime have such possibility?
Hi, I know that MC15 doesn't like different units in one array and I know how to override this. But what to do in this case? I`m reading excel file to MathCAD and I want to get units from it. The unit in one "unit cell" can be "mm" or "deg".I don`t want to add one more column for "mm" or for "deg".I want to use one cell for different purposes. Is this possible?
Hallo, attached a mathcad file with my question. I need to call the function "on error" vectorised. So that i have a result of all the calculations I tryed it but the result is not correct. Can anyone help me with this problem? As you can see the result is red because for the last value no calculation is possible. Therefor a fixed value should be calculated for the result. Or an "on error" function Thx Stefan
Hi guys, I have a problem with an integral that I would like to link in the solve block using odesolve. The Integral (sin A(s) ds) can't be written in the solve block or the solution can't be found. I tried to rewrite the integral in a sum or I tried to use the trapezoidel rule, but it doesn't work either. A(s) isn't given, but dA(s)/ds will be solved during the solution. I am looking forward to your helpfull answers 😉 Best regards David
Hi all! I'm currently using MathCad 15 and I can't seem to get the seem together the Excel function to work correctly. It keeps writing to excel and making the file corrupt and messing with the formating, making it impossible to write all the arrays to Excel is there something I'm doing wrong?
Do you know more interesting (not so simple) 3D-body plot? See please Mathcad 15 sheet in attach!
Hi, I seem to be having a problem with my solve block at the end of my file. I know errors in solve blocks don't tell me much but any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi, I'm trying to assign a variable to the output of a solve block but there vector inputs and the output from the 'find' function is a series of 2x1 arrays, in one long array. Sorry - it's hard to describe but an image is attached. I've created two blocks to show the problem - the last one showing the error when I want to assign the output to a variable. Thanks
I'm currently working on an MathCad worksheet that will allow inputs be made into an Excel spreadsheet that way people that don't have MathCad can enter data for us to calculate answer using a template. My question is is there a way to put those answers found by MathCad back into the spreadsheet without deleting all it contents?
when it is launched, it always generates the following error message: failed to create empty document. How to fix this?
I had a need to convert a small text file into a Mathcad 15.I need to transfer a text file a number like this:z23: = 0 + i * 0z24: = 1 + i * 0z25: = 1 + i * 0z26: = 1 + i * 0z27: = 0 - i * 1
Dear Experts, I want to find confidence intervals for estimated parameters using LeastSquaresFit. Without units, there is no problem. When using units, an error occurs if the fitting function defined as a program block. How to solve this problem? With units: Without units:
This may seem trivial to most, but it frustrates me greatly. In my line of work I frequently insert images into Mathcad sheets. In Prime 3.1 the images would automatically resize themselves to be equal the width of the page. Since our company installed Prime 4.0 I was devastated to see that this functionality had disappeared... now when you insert a large image it stretches off the page, requiring the user to open the Draft View, scroll across to the handles and then drag it down to size. My question: is there a way to change this behaviour to be the same as in Prime 3.1 or am I stuck with this forever?
Hi everyone. I have a problem that i can't solve it, i need someone fix it for me. I have to draw two graph in one coordinate system, but only the second graph is displayed. the first graph is not, i don't know why it's not displayed. i attach the zip files in post, this two graphs is on the page 20. Thank you very much !
I'm an engineer at NASA. We use a NIST Standard Reference Database (http://www.nist.gov/srd/nist23.cfm) called REFPROP to get the thermodynamic and transport properties needed to support our fluid calcs. The underlying code base in written in Fortran, but NIST provides several different methods for accessing the property data including:1) a stand-alone GUI2) an Excel Add-in3) instructions for adding wrapper code to create C-code compatible DLL'sI'm a long-time user of the Excel Add-in (and creating a DLL is beyong my programming level), but, given how units-intensive most of my calcs are, I was interested in seeing if Mathcad might be a viable alternative.I looked at Prime 2.0 last year, but based on how "crippled" it seemed to be relative to 15.0 I held off until Prime 3.0 came out. With the NIST-supplied REFPROP add-in loaded into my copy of Excel, I opened a Prime 3.0 worksheet, added an Excel component, and entered a REFPROP function call. At first it seemed to work, but later I noti
