HelloI'm trying to form a consolidation matrix to compute one-dimensional soil consolidation (settlement).The matrix is formed by taking values from values from previous columns and rows of the matrix andI don't get this to work.In the matrix the horizontal axis ( j ) represents time steps and the vertical axis different depth nodes ( i ).Each node point is a value of, where the multiplier ct/z^2 is repleced by factor beta.The values in the  first column are given u0The first row should be only 0 -valuesand the last row should be determined by functionThank you for your help.

In Prime 3.1, the xy plot shows up blank when I print to pdf. Please help.

I would like to analyze some filters for the amount of debris present. However, I have never used Mathcad 15 for this in the past and would appreciate some help in the matter.In picture "A" you can see a digital photograph with lower right corner some debris present (dark colored spot). However, most of the pictures are CT scanning pictures such as "B" where you can see the same debris as a light grey spot against the darker background.Is it possible to color the debris in some way so that I could calculate the amount of the filter surface covered with debris? I have to admit that I am a complete newbie in picture analysis. Thanks in advance for any help offered.Filip

Dear PTC community,i have a question about a vector plot.In the plot (attached as a picture), i only want to show the points and the ring segments.At the moment, also the connecting line pieces to the next ring segment are plotted. (resulting in a straight line on the X-axis)How to get rid of these connecting line pieces?Tx in advance

The eBook is suppose to have a search function.  The search function uses the idex that can be defined in the properties box.  I have followed the instructions in the eBook help menu.  This is the first time I have used the functionality.  The eBook was large and needed to be searchable.  The search is produced, but each of the first letters are dropped.  Has anyone had the same problem.  Attached is the files for the eBook.  Ignor the broken links to the excel sheet.  M241 is the handbook name.  Some the supporting files are too big to post, that should not make a different in the search function.Regards,

In the figure below, Altitude (prediction) and Altitude (experiment) are both functions of time. How do I eliminate the title "Time(experiment)" from the x-axis. I would like to have the x-axis title as "t" only.

So i have a dell laptop that recently upgraded to windows 10  from windows 8. The only way we can get it to work with Mathcad 15 so far is to run it  in windows 7 compatibility mode but it takes a long time to start but when going to page setup option under "File" it freezes for  a few seconds and then looks like its about to open but then nothing happens. Other than that seems to work fine. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I don't think I've encountered this error before.   I wonder if it's related to running M15 040 under Windows 10 (or just an M15 040 issue?Stuart

I have a real life work problem I'm attempting to use MathCAD to solve. I'm computing the response time history of a coasting rotation inertia and at time zero reverse motor torque is applied. I have an 8th order state space model and I'm using Rkadapt to solve. The motor torque is a function of shaft speed and is thus a function of one of the state variables. I have the function as tabular data (lookup table). Any suggestions on how to formulate the motor torque?

Hi everybody:I have got a problem with MathCad. When I define a function without If statement, everything is fine. However, as you can see from attached MathCad file, with adding if statement in my function, an error appers that "this value must be scalar"Any idea why this happens. Hi Folks,I'm a professor at a large university (40,000 undergrad students and grad students).  I'm teaching a math review class for grad students and asked them to vote on what software they wanted me to use, Mathcad, Matlab, Mathematica or Maple.  I briefly described each and told them Mathcad was capable and the easiest to use.  The vote was unanimous for Matlab, so that's what we're using.I can't help thinking that MCAD users are a small and shrinking group.  Do we have any numbers on the size of the MCAD community and where new users might come from?Thanks for your attention.

I am trying to solve a symbolic inequality with multiple variables.  I can't seem to get a solution in general when I have explicit constants in the constraint that contain decimal points.  How do I go about solving such problems?

Hi..I have one articulation in creo parametric 2.0, and I have to check its feasibility for different condition by passing creo dimension values to mathcad.Now, I have integrated Mathcad Prime 2.0 and creo parametric 2.0 and added mathcad file as a feature in creo model.But my issue is while i am running one condition and regenerating model, mathcad file also getting run and which will take so much time.first of all i have to do all condtion and then only i want to run mathcad file and not for every condition.So please can anyone let me know, how to run mathcad feature as per user requirement and not every time.Thanks,Prashant Pandarkar

I'm having a problem with Help in M15 040.  After my first install, M15 wouldn't find the Help files, so I uninstalled it and installed it again.  Now all I get is about half a dozen of the following error dialogs but still no Help.   Has anybody else had this problem?  Win 10 installation, replacing a previously successful Win 7 M15 030 installation.Stuart
