When I create a 2D Plot and zoom in, how do I zoom back to original plot size?In Matlab ther is an option "Zoom back to default size", is there something similar in MathCAD?Speaking of graphs, I had looked at the old post regarding saving graphs to images in MathCAD 14, and the verdictseemed to be "click on graph, copy and past in Paint or similar". Any better ideas for high resolution plots, please?

Good DayI’m a bit new to Mathcad Prime 2.0, and I’m having trouble graphing the Weibull distribution curve. I’ve tried numerous times with no luck and all I end up is with a vertical line. Is it possible for you guys to take me step-by-step in making the curve?Thank YouDavid Escobar
I'll try and explain this the best I can and also the fact that I don't know if Mathcad can actually do what I requireI'm trying to produce a 2D graph from two varibles which can change. The graph is for a design of a beam where:-The load applied to the beam is known. The moment capacity of the beam is known. However the span can changeThe adjacent beam centers can change. The unity ratio of the beam passing <1.0 and failing >1.0I've attached a what I think it should look like and the formula. I believe this may require some sort of programming or I'm not sure whether Mathcad can actually do something like this. Please bear in mind I'm using Mathcad 14Thanks
Hi, Collab --I know that this is a long shot, but I thought maybe worth a try...A few months ago, seemingly out of the blue, we became unable to save Mathcad 15 files (xmcd, xmcdz, mcd) to one of our network drives. I note that rtf from MC15 and Prime files are no problem. It is also possible to copy MC15 files onto this network drive -- we just can't save them from MC15. The specific error we get is, "Disk full while accessing M:\filename.xmcd". The disk is most certainly not full. I also note that so far this error is 100% reproducible -- we have not seen a file, user, or workstation from which this error does not occur.Like I said, a long shot -- it could be MC, server hardware, server software, any number of things -- but has anyone else ever come across this? Thanks.Matt
Genetic algorithm with Mathcad. Last red point - a global minimum of the function f(x, y). More - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genetic_algorithm Unable to play video. Please try again later.(view in My Videos)
I am decent with mathcad for simple calculations but lack understanding of the programming. I am really wanting to get a bit better but don't have any teaching and/or references. I thought at least this discussion board could be a great place for me to get help and tips. For this problem I have 2 vectors each containing 100 values. What i am looking to do is subtract each and every single value in each vector from eachother. I think I may need to use some sort of looping routine in order to accomplish this but I don't know how. Maybe there is another way that is better. Sheet is attached with comments in red. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone could point me in a good direction (books, etc) to become more familiar with creating these types of routines (for loops, nested for loops, etc). That would be greatly appreciated as well.
I have a Mathcad document along the lines of:r:=10mm---------Many equations using r and other variables.---------stress = 50 MPaIs there a way to find the value of r that gives the minimum stress without totally re-writing the document?I know this can be done relatively easily for discrete values of r by using a vector but I'd ideally like to do the equivalent of an Excel goal seek.
To allI am thinking about a possible mcad sheet for an hyperelastic material ie a rubber. Attached is a typical curve for such material.I would like to predict the displacment (of some quantity, maybe stress) knowing the total force to be applied. I am not sure so will be happy to be corrected but is this a non linear problem (gien the shape of the curve)?Known total force to the applieda (non-linear) relationship between say strain & stressFindThe final "state" once all the toal force is appliedI haven't got a clue where to start. Does the probleme require some kind of iterative solver?Am I overthinking the whole think?Any suggestion is welcomeThanksRegardsJXB
I am using Mathcad 15.0.0.436.I am also using an older file that was created in Mathcad 14 with minor modifications to some of the inputs. The file printed fine before I upgraded to 15.I have full page text blocks that wrap at the margin to create multiple lines of text. When I print the file out, some of the text 'disappears' past the right hand margin.I have tried changing margins, and changing printers, but to no avail. This also shows up likes this in the print preview screen.I am not using a speciatl text font (Normal, Arial 10), so am clueless as to why this is happening.I use this text technique a lot and it will be very burdensome to manually change every full-page text block so that it is not full page and also fits on the page.Is this a bug, or is there a fix for this? Thanks
I prefer to work with a black bacground. Anybody knows how to set default font color to white ( in MathCAD 14 ), please?
Hello All,My data has several peaks and I want to fit Gaussian function to each one to obtain the position of each peak's apex. Could you please let me have the idea how to do this? My program should find the peaks and fit the Gaussian to each one.Thank you very much in advance.Payman
Hello All,I am using Mathcad 14. Unfortunately the function "localmax" is not working with this version. Do you know how I can add this function?
I have installed mathcad prime 3.0 on my computer but I don't know how to download mathcad 15 with the license (I need to convert some of my files). Can anyone help me with this?
Hello All,I have two oscillating signals. I want to find the position where1) The signals maxima coincide with each other (the best match), 2) The signals minima coincide with each other (the best match), 3) One signal's max coincides with another signal's min.Such points are indicated on the attached graph. Would you please help me with programming this step? Thank you very much in advance.Payman
Would someone from confirm or correct my understanding of the missing features below, and let me know which have been reinstated on Prime 3.0?1. You can't change font size for math expressions.2. You can't wrap a math expression to a new line.3. You can't spell check.4. You can't print preview.5. You cant add title and axis labels to graphs.
HiCan I read results from another mathcad file?If yes HOW?Thanks
HiHow can I use if function when I have two statement shall be valid at the same time:For example:y=0 if x=5 and z=10y=1 otherwiseHow can I replace "and"?Thanks

Can anyone help on how to use the matrix (taken from an excel file) in the equations...?In the attached Mathcad file you can see that I need to evaluate the output power equation as a function of k (as highlighted in yellow in the last page).I need the matrix (L11, L22, k etc) to be used in the equation (for the variable k)...In short, I need to plot a graph Pout(k) vs k........ all the values indicated in the equation of Pout(k) must be taken from the matrix.. please help to get the plot
Some time ago, there was a problem with the use of "Given-Find" solve block (I can not find this theme in forum). In an attachment, you can find a document with a solution to this problem from the PTC's technical support.
Hello,on the left side of my mathcad sheet is a pdf copy past shots. on the right side i am trying to follow the same steps. please scroll down to the red arrow. i am not sure why the results on the right side does not match what is the screen shot on the left side for Ke1,Ke2,Ke3. the other two red arrows are below. Thanks!
This is as much a tutorial as a problem, I suppose. When I was teaching dynamics I would take a representative problem and "beat it to death" to illustrate not only the dynamic priciples but also how these problems can be worked efficently using Mathcad.
Hi all,I tried to use two equations to solve two unknowns, but it said cannot find answer because needing at least two arguments that is applied to 1.I don't understand what that means. I have attached the worksheet and looking forward to hearing your solutions.thanks
Hi, All --I am trying to use spherical harmonics to represent a surface in 3D. The worksheet calculates through without error, but the results are off by ~24 orders of magnitude (for 12th degree Legendre polynomials). I note also that the magnitude of the answer increases with the degree of the polynomials.Anybody have any ideas? Maybe there's a better way to approach this altogether? Thanks in advance.Matt
