Mathcad

In the attached worksheet,I would like to find the parameters of the GEV that are generated by a booststrapping of the original data. The Maximize function accomplishes this rather well for a data vector but as you can see I am stuggling to do this for an array.I would appreciate any help in accomplishing this.Dick.....

Hi,Sorry if this is a trivial question, but I am only starting to use symbolics, and I haven't found how to do what I want.If I manipulate equations that are fully symbolic, the results of manipulations are shown in a symbolic way. But if there is one of the symbols that is defined, it is automatically evaluated and replaced by its value in the results. Is it possible to do that ?Here is an example, calculating the power transfered by sinewave voltage and current with a phase offset. In the first case, the peak voltage is undefined, and I get the expected result : P(phase) = Vpk * Ipk * cos(phase) / 2In the second case, I define Vpk=100, and the result is P(phase) = 50 * Ipk * cos(phase). Is there a way to modify the second case, in order to get the same result as the first ?Thank you very much.Adrien

I have added the DCOL routine to the prode.dll. You may find the updated prode.dll and a test file for the DCOL routine on my website.The dll was built to handle VLE, VLLE, and LLE columns. Only VLE option is available to Prode users with Basic license. I have the Basic license, so I am unable to test the dll for the other two cases. Please let me know if there appears to be a problem with the dll for the VLLE or LLE options.

Hello,i need help on how to iterate until convergence. please scroll down in my sheet until you see the red arrow where i begin the iterations. Right now i have 10 individual iterations, and checking the end for convergence. i dont know how to do in mathcad where you can automate the iteration until convergence, and let it decide how many iteration it needs until convergence. there are two values that each need to converge . one for moment and the other for delta. a ratio of 1.001 will be fine for convergence. Hello Guys,I have a problem in my mathcad program.I was trying to use lookup function in a loop, Attached is the file illustrating my problem.I was able to use lookup function and get the desired output, but when I have used the same function in a program, I was not getting any errors but it was giving the output as [1,1]. I was still a learner of mathcad and not able figure it out. Could any one plaese help me to resolve this issue, May be my example I have attached here is smaller one, but my real problem contains huge matrix and I need to use lookup function (or if any other) in program to get the desired output.Thanks a ton for your help!!Ashok

I had this all working before I re-installed my OS. Now I can't figure the trick out. M15 doesn't error, but it doesn't run, either.I've tried installing M15 and MP3 in different orders.I note that there are two statements about .NET: one says at least .NET 3.5.1, and the other says exactly .NET 3.5.1. I have both installed, it seems, or at least .NET 3.5... I have a problem with my Mathcad 15 showing inserted Excel-object the wrong way, when I open a Mathcad-sheet that includes an Exel-object. Could it have anything to do with the fact, that this Mathcad-sheet, with these Excel-objects, was created on an 32-bit machine and I now open it on a 64-bit machine?

Mathcad 15. Problem with the "Tab"-button. I can not "tab" in my Mathcad sheets. And in some areas I can not write anything. Have anyone had the same experience? Any suggestions? I use Windows7 and 64-bit. I have other problems with objects imported from Excel and AutoCad, but let us take the "TAB"-problem first 🙂
