Mathcad Installation

I downloaded a version of MathCAD a few months ago and it got wiped when I reset my computer from a virus. Now I have no idea which license I purchased and I have absolutley no idea where to find this information out. I may have purchased some sort of student version.

I am using Mathcad Prime Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0I have been using Prime 9 for several months. Yesterday, when starting, Mathcad crashed the whole computer. After reboot, when starting mathcad, I see the small message saying mathcad is starting. Then nothing. Mathcad stops and no mathcad is seen on program manager (windows 10). I uninstalled Mathcad, then reinstalled but I still have the same issue.Here are the errors that I facedNo message

When I open mathcad prime on my computer with Windows 11. The app shows up on the bottom dock but it does not open a new window. What can I do to fix this? I need to access it ASAP for a big project. It was working fine yesterday. Nothing changed except I am now physically out of the country. It doesn't even give me an "invalid lisence". Just a black screen.I have tried:1. force-quitting the app (with a right click on the bottom dock).2. Force-quitting from task manager. (It always appears to stop at 170, 175 MB of usage. I have had Mathcad in versions 5, 8 and most recently 9 installed on my pc.I then removed versions 5 and 8 to gain storage on my pcNow I need to reinstall version 8 to be able to work on the same sheets as my teammates. However, when I go to install, it says that version 8 is not allowed. Any suggestions on what to do?

I received 2 license files and I tried both. (No difference.)I configured the license (pointed to one of the 2 files) and I got this:But then when I run Mathcad, it acts like it has no license:What's going on?

Tells me I have reached the maximum number of licenses. I have prime 7 exress and would like to install prime 9 express. It keeps asking me for some license everytime I install the free version. I also cannot load the knowledge articles below. The links don't work, it jsut does some funny animations and does not load the community pages.

Hello,As I remember I started working with mathcad 2, many years ago.I'm still using Mathcad 15 since 2014.Now I got a new PC and a new Notebook.So I would need new licences.After some Mails I wrote to the academicsupport.The answer:"The Mathcad 15 has retired. We are not able to provide support for this".What can I do now? Is there any chance to run Mathcad 15 on my new computer?Greetings George

Recently, my SSD hard drive crashed and I lost all emails and software installed on my laptop, including the license file for my single-user MC 9.0.0.  I can't find a customer support email where I can request a replacement for said license file. Your advice is appreciated. Regards

If you need any more information from me in this regard, please let me know.   We currently have the situation that we have 2 licenses and had to change the MAC addresses for them and reinstall them at the same time. Now we are faced with the issue that Mathcad 15 can no longer be licensed with the current licenses because Mathcad is too old.   So my question to you is, do you still see a possibility of getting Mathcad licensed despite a new installation, or are the licenses no longer usable for us in combination with Mathcad?   Thank you very much for your effort.   R. I had to install MCAD 14 on a new machine. To my great surprise, that went well, except that I cannot access QuickSheets. When I try, I get the message below. Can anyone help with this?

Hi,I recently posted a question about transferring Mathcad Prime 3 to a new hardware.@LucMeekes kindly guided me to the End-of-Sale Announcement and to a related FAQ where PTC clarified that licenses can be transferred for hardware replacement purposes after December 31, 2021. I was also recommended to contact PTC customer support for this.I contacted PTC customer support, but because I do not have a maintenance subscription, they reverted as follows:"The Community is the correct place for support. You already searched there, that ís great. There are two options to acquire 30 days Mathcad Prime license file. Please follow below listed, Step by Step procedure:   Option 1: Retrieval of License file via Internet   1. Install Mathcad Prime 6.0.0.0 and launch it.       2. Click on the Mathcad Prime Icon (M') and Select #M' Options. Refer below image:   3. In the new Window "PTC Mathcad Option", select #Get License       4. In the PTC Mathcad License Wizard window, select #I want to try the full PTC Mathcad functionality for 30 days and than select #Next       5. Enter your PTC.com login Credentials (Email and Password). If incase you don't have one, you may create by selecting the second option #I am New to PTC.com  and need to create an account and create an account     And select #Next   6. I cannot get the 30 day free trial to activate. I have gone through the activation process repeatedly and it does not work. No matter what I do the program does not recognize that a license has been activated.

As a Mathcad User if you happen to receive an error message "An Unhandled exception occurred on the dispatcher thread. See “C:\ProgramData\PTC\MathcadPrime\Logs\MathcadPrime_Exception_###.log"   Than to address the problem, lets first understand the reason for this error followed by Resolution.  Root Cause of Error: MathcadPrime.exe.config may have been corrupted User.config is corrupted for the user trying to launch Mathcad Prime Resolution: There are two resolutions to address the problem Resolution 1 - 1.  Rename the file MathcadPrime.exe.Config to old_MathcadPrime.exe.Config in the default Mathcad Installation location "C:\Program Data\PTC\Mathcad Prime".   2.  Rename the folder #PTC to old_PTC in the location " C:\Users\%username%\Appdata\Local"     3. Clear Temporary files on the Machine     If the above instructions fail to resolve the issue, uninstall the application, reboot the machine and reinstall Mathcad
