Version 6.0.0.0 of the Ptc.MathcadPrime.Automation.dll assembly is resulting in an COMException being thrown, which is preventing the ApplicationCreator object from being constructed. I have had no issues with version 6.0.0.0 assembly before these last few days. I have replicated this condition using the same assembly for version 8.0.0.0, without any errors. What can be done here that does not include upgrading or downgrading the version of Mathcad?

I have my own versions of Prime 7 and Prime 8.  My company uses Prime 7.  Is there any way to take the Prime 8 files that I created and convert them to Prime 7?

Hello,I am Application Specialist at my company.I want to transfer its license to another server.Unfortunately the former license supervisor of our organization at PTC eSupport left the company a year ago.I have two cases, one of them is to ask how to assign the super-administrator or just regular admin role of the organization assigned to his account and its licenses to my account (if necessery, I will confirm somehow, that everything that I am saying is true, just tell me how) I can't access former supervisor's e-mail account.Second case is the cause of the whole situation. One of our servers, started having bugs beyond fixing, unfortunately, this is the one that has mathcad license installed on it. I want to transfer the license to another server but it is assigned to MAC address of the current server, so it won't be working.Can you please help me or give some information, who can I contact to get help that I need, because I can't find any PTCs support mailbox.Best regards

I am trying to do some basic calculations. i was not able to create the custom unit for the thermal resistance, which is used for calculations in estimating the junction temperature in MOSFET.Theri is some unit conversion problems if I add 1 deg C to 5 deg C the result not 6 deg C instead 279.15 deg C. I'm looking to see if my company has an available license for mathcad and if not possibly acquire one. Our PTC account gives me access denied when trying to manage licenses and I'm unable to upgrade the account as I don't have the information necessary.

Hi, Mathcad v3.1, v4.0, v6.0, v8.0, v15.0 run with OpenJDKAre these versions able to run with OpenJDK instead of Oracle Java?   I am hoping that one is able to install the OpenJDK and then install the MathCad.  Please let me know if this has been tested and works.I am not able to find any information on this site.Thank you.

It wont install. The installation package will download, I give permissions to make changes to my computer, the extraction happens, a spiral comes up on my cursor, then nothing happens. I have windows 11, other windows 11 users I know are having the issue but those on Windows 10 are not having problems. Has anybody else experience this or have a solution?

Set up program says that it cannot find the sw_license_email_95084.dat file. I cannot get MathCad to run! what do I do? I can email a snip of the screen.

Hello,I have now tried to download and install MathCad on my macs virtual machine Windows 10 64bit but all stops at unpacking 100% and tthe nothing happens. The window just closes. I have tried running as administrator and all other programs install well but not this one.How can I finally get it to install?I have tried installing it from my desktop NAD even created a TEMP folder in my C:/drive and installing it from there but the behaviour is the same - it never starts the install-wizardHow can I proceed?ThanksDominicus

I'm trying to use the free 30 day trial. MathCad appears to open and work, however the XMCD file converter does not work. I load a file and click convert, but it says "no license" under MCDX status and nothing happens. I received an email with a license file (.dat file type). I followed the instructions to install this license but again nothing appears to happen.

Hi,I'm using Mathcad for 3 years now in my school. I have installed it on my PC too, but since yesterday Mathcad doesn't start anymore. I only see the Mathcadlogo and then it disappears. It was working fine on Windows 10 but now I cannot see the Help file. I can see the help window at the bottom of the screen when I hover the mouse over Mathcad window but when I click on it, it does not open. Please help.

I am attempting to convert .xmcd files, using PTC Mathcad Prime 8.0.0.0 XMCD, MCD Converter. When I attempt to make the conversion, I receive a "No License" error in the MCDX Status dialog. I just downloaded Mathcad Prime 8.0.0.0. The files are Mathcad 15, and I do not have Mathcad 15 on my computer.
