Currenly I am looking for a IKIT function to inquire the color of a line in a workplane. I did not find any. there is a sd-inq-edge-color but it only returns the color of 3D edges. For geometry on a WP it delivers nil. Also the command edge_2d_prop does not return anything but nil. In 2009 I bought the software "CoCreate 2008 Version 16.00D". In 2010 we got the new version "PTC/CoCreate 17.00" from our support-contact at Switzerland - I never installed it on my PC. After 2010 we finished upgrade-contract because all features we needed from our CAD were available.   Today (21.01.204) I bought Win 8.1. I installed the newer version "PTC/CoCreate 17.00" on my second PC*. I kept the fist one I'm having with Win XP and "CoCreate 2008 Version 16.00D" running on it. I wanted to have a Hardware-Backup because of my CAD from CoCreate (that has HW-License as I was told then).   * all the same hardware. No differences. I bought them together some years ago to have a "hardware backup system".   I try now to make run the newer version "PTC/CoCreate 17.00" on my PC. Hi, I am working with the 3D Access and the built in render module. When I render something the resulting image is always way too dark. Any ideas why that might be? I attaches some pictures of the model. One in normal view, one with the lighting added to the scene, and one with the result of the render. I used the following lighting "light studio/object/high contrast/keylight, spot, 2 fill lights and back light" (might actually be named different. translated from german). I am curious if there is any specific reason why the default DXF translator for Annotation defaults to A'Cad 2000 (AC1015)? I know that I can change this in the dxfdwg.conf - but would like to understand why the default is not set to the latest version?   OutputACADVersion This switch is used for MI->DXF/DWG translation. I'm trying to use the MoldDesignAdvisor to create some ribs using the pre-defined Rib Feature, but I am confused about how to do it. The feature calls for a workplane with 2D geometry, but it isn't clear how this workplane and 2D geometry is used to create the rib. The HELP system hasn't been helpful, nor is the graphic in the dialog. Has anyone used this? If so, how is it supposed to work? Is the 2D geometry on the workplane supposed to be the centerline of the rib (and then it is thickened and extruded up the rib height)? There is no longer a command in 18.1 to project cross-section construction lines to a workplane. The only option is to project cross-section geometry to a workplane. I am trying to create a variable radius blend where one end goes to a point (radius=0), and the other end meets up with a constant radius blend (with the same radiu). I would have thought that this would be straight-forward, but it hasn't been.This is the result that I want, but it wasn't easy to get it. If I create the big constant radius (vertical in the picture) first, then the smaller constant radius blend, the blend command won't do anything if I select the small edge remaining (circled edge in picture below). Through a lot of trial-and-error I eventually did get the result I was looking for. The only thing that made it easiest is when I "unrecognized" the large blend. Once I did that, I was able to create the variable radius blend, although I could only get it to work if I started with the variable radius blend and then added the constant radius blend.
