I would either like to turn off Auto Save in Creo Illustrate or set it to save at different increments. How do I do this?
hi, i just installed creo 1.0 and its having many problems with the planes because when i try to make any line, any geometric figure it gets a very weird shape. for example, i try to sketch a cricle but it doesnt make a circle it makes kind of a square-circle(very weird figure). i need some help please. sorry for my bada english if it is( i speak spanish)...oh ill show you my problem
Hello,Question: "What's new in CREO View 2.0 M010?"I found some videos an functions in the community discussion, but i'm interestedfor a total overview. Is there a Powerpoint or a Document in the web ?Thanks, ralf kied
What's new in CREO View 2.0 from M. Rygol
Some of you may be aware of the red text issue and workaround already. Wrote this up for those that have not run into the issue.
Hi All, Does anyone has a comparison matrix between RSD 8.0/9.0 and Creo Schematics 1.0/2.0? Thanks, Sun
I can't seem to create even simple animations in Creo Illustrate 2! (That's not entirely true - sometimes it looks like I've made one, but it plays backwards!!!) Actions don't result in timeline entires.I've tried to follow the animation examples in the Precision LMS My Learning, but those don't work either.I tried using Creo Illustrate 1 on an assembly that I had tried to animate in IIlustrate 2 --- It worked perfectly as expected.Operator error? Thanks in advance!Tom Burtonp.s. - Seems like these discussions are getting less used! Where is everybody?
I'd like to use the symmetry constraint for more than just vertices; I'd like to use lines as well. The two vertices in the attached image are not the same length, therefore I cannot choose the vertices I've pointed out in red. But if I could choose the LINES themselves, I could use the vertical symmetry I'm looking for that would replace the 109 dimension.
I'd like to be able to change colors of dimensions based on whether they are governed by a parameter or relation. This occurs automatically in other 3D softwares that I have used. As a matter of fact, it occurs in all I've used except Pro E. More overall color control of dimensions would be greatly appreciated.
Viz'ers, Documented a few more enhancements we found in Creo View 2.0 here in a short video demo:
There are two very useful options in the Sketcher Diagnostics Tool, which can save you a lot of trouble: "Shade Closed Loops" and "Highlight Open Ends" config.pro options would be very useful to activate the two options. Today we do it via a mapkey during startup, which opens a sketch and clicks both options on, very nonprofessional. My proposal: sketcher_diagnostics_shade_closed_loops yes/no sketcher_diagnostics_highlight_open_ends yes/no
I'm sure there are easy ways of doing the following, but they're eluding me:1. How can I determine the distance between two points or a point and a line (both x/y/z displacement and absolute distance)?2. How can I determine the dimensions of a bounding box around a part or assembly? Thanks in advance!Tom Burton
Is there a way to "attach" an axis or coordinate system to a part? In the Tools tab, if I select a part, click on Coordinate System, then click on an edge of the part, a coordinate system (CSYSn) will be created with one of the axes along the edge. So far so good!If I then go to the Home tab, select the part, and select Rotation Mode, I can then Right-Click on the part, select Location from the window that appears, and click on Select Coordinate System from the drop down menu. I can click on the coordinate system created above and that coordinate system will show in the Select Coordinate System window. I click OK, and the "rotation ball" shifts so I can rotate the part about the new axis. Again, so far so good. However, if I move the part (using Translation Mode), the coordinates created above stay where they were, instead of moving along with the part! At this point, I can no longer rotate the part about the axis I created. Is there a way to "attach" the coordinate system to the part s
When we print AutoCAD drawings from Creo View, it spools for a long time before printing (30 sec - 1 minute). Does anyone know how to speed it up?
Hi All,Is there a possibility to disable Right Click> Copy Image from the Creo View window?thanks,Kumarappan.S
I have a part that is "attached" to a larger structure by two pins in the structure mating to two holes in the part. (I hope that's clear!) I want to rotate the part about the axis implied by the two pins. I'm sure there's a relatively easy way to do this, but it is eluding me!Thanks in advance,Tom BurtonZebra Technologies
How do you edit the sBOM (i.e., move items up or down the list, move items into or out of assemblies, etc.)? The on-line help doesn't help! Thanks in advance,Tom Burton
Creo Viewers, Ran across this one a while back, finally found time to create a short video for those that may have an interest.
Many companies I have worked for use a zone drawing view symbol. This symbol displays the sheet and zone of the drawing where a views child or parent is located. Unfortunately the information is typed into the symbol manually because the pos_loc parameter includes both the x and y location together. For example, Sheet 2, Zone 4C. Looking at the standard zone callout symbol one can see that the blocks for the rows and columns of the drawing zones are above and below each other. So, since this is the standard I am proposing that the pos_loc be split int pos_loc_x and pos_loc_y so that the column can be in one block and the row will be in the other.
1) Currently, for a "*.asm" file, when we do a File--> Save a Copy to "*.dwg" format for a half-section view of an 'ellipse', it converts the ellipse to poly-lines. 2) The result remains same whether we open this "*.dwg" file in AutoCAD or Pro/E. When we do the same for a full-section view of an ellipse, it exports successfully as an 'ellipse' without any issues.
It would be nice if it were possible to create a dwf(x) file directly from Pro/Engineer 2D drawings on 64bit OS systems. This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. If I have failures in sketcher and I want to delete all of the missing references for instance, it would be nice to sort on all of the references to filter just the missing ones.

First do you need set templates for StartParts in configuration file (configuration_option and path_to_start_part):- for solid part:template_solidpart D:\start_models\start_part.prt - for sheetmetal part:template_sheetmetalpart D:\start_models\start_smtpart.prt - for assembly:template_designasm D:\start_models\start_asm.asm ... then you can open your data: see video (view in My Videos)
Hi, I want ot know what are the output file formats available in Illustrate. I have a illustration file with a lot of figures created and I want to view it in a web browser. Is it possible to save in HTML format? -- Dhinesh
