Hello!Does the PTC has plans to support the Russian language (full translation of the user interface/menu; support for the Cyrillic letters in titles of files and in saving/opening paths) in a future release of Creo Illustrate? Any comments?
Hello!I use Creo Illustrate 1.0 M030. It seems that when you try to change the coordinate system for one of the parts (from imported JT assembly into Creo Illustrate) you cannot select any other elements of the geometry of the parts (like: point, edge, face etc.) but only can select the whole part . And in this case the filter selection is set as "Smart". Can someone verify this (this is a bug)? I am attached to the message JT assembly. Thanks.
Hello - does anyone know, if there is a special trick to import *.jt files and unigrafics files (*.prt)?Although the product information sheet "6714–Creo Illustrate–DS–0611-de.pdf" states supporting both file types in CreoIllustrate I cannot open neither *.jt nor *.prt. For *.prt files CreoIllustrate even shows the extension in the import dialog.
Hello!I think that it need to be added into Creo Illustrate the ability to import CAD models using a relative path to locate the source CAD file. That is, need to create a check box that allows the user to use or not a relative path for the inserted/imported 3D CAD model. I hope this feature will be implemented in the next version of Creo Illustrate. So what do you think?"Link" option in Creo Illustrate 1.0 M030 ("File" -> "Import" -> "Link"):Need to added check-box option "Use relative file path":
When there will be a "Creo Illustrate 1.0 Read This First" guide for service release M030 released in section "Reference Documents" on PTC site : http://www.ptc.com/appserver/cs/doc/refdoc.jsp ?

I have a very simple assembly which I have created to illustrate my problem (see attached picture). My question is fairly simple..... I would like to know if (and how), I can restructure "PART_1.prt" so that it belongs to "TOP_LEVEL.asm" instead of "SUB_ASSY.asm" In other words, I would like to make "PART_1.prt" a level 1 component, rather than a level 2 component. I don't want to delete it from the SUB_ASSY and re-add it to the TOP_LEVEL, as this will destroy the dimensions in drawing of the TOP_LEVEL.asm Best Regards.
Sandy Joung, Product Marketing Senior Director, introduces Creo Schematics, a stand-alone 2D schematic CAD software product for documenting both electrical and fluid systems. Creo Schematics additionally automates the transfer of data to Creo for 3D cabling and piping design.Direct link to video on YouTube. What do you think of Creo Schematics?
We have some external vendors who are transitioning to the Creoview Express viewer. So far so good, but we have one user who serves pages via Citrix.Does anyone have experience in the arena - I'm not sure how to advise them on viewing drawings.Thanks.
Paul Sagar, Director of Product Management for Creo at PTC, demonstrates the key capabilities of Creo Sketch. Creo Sketch is PTC's 2D design app for quickly drawing or sketching ideas- as easy as sketching on a napkin. Add color, special effects, and text to turn a sketch into a full 2D concept. Directly leverage sketches into other apps from PTC's Creo suite of design software to turn 2D artwork into 3D models. Will you download this free app when it becomes available?

At some point during the conference last week I thought I heard someone say that animation is always considered an extension to the creo apps that have that capability. Is that the case for Creo Illustrate? Can it be purchased without being packaged with the animation?
I'm trying to figure out how to access an activeWindchill workspace using web/link. I'm trying to write a web page that allows the users to change the value of an internal Pro/E parameter without having to load everything into session first. I've written web/link pages that access files in session and from the local filesystem, so I understand the basics of getting a session object, using methods, etc. I'm finding that the Windchill section of the API documents is just a bit to vague for my feeble mind. Can anyone illustrate how one would set up access with some sample code? I'm sure it's simple, I just haven't figured it out yet. The assumption is that Pro/E is running interactively with an active session tied to the workspace, so I believe don't need to know how to set up server connections, etc. Thanks in advance for any help
We've recently switched to WF5, and we're having some weird thingshappening with our search paths, or maybe I should say, our ability tocall up models from the correct location. We have a search path file, that searches a list of directories in order. At the very end of that "list" is a read-only directory. In the past, thearrangement of this "list" has always served us well. However, recently,we're starting to see times where things will NOT pull from the CURRENTdirectory, but rather will pull from the read-only dir, which is the lastthing on the list. I'll try to illustrate what is going on, andhopefully, this makes sense. Bear with me, this is probably going to getconfusing. We have an assembly that is structured like this: 123456.asm234567.prt345678.prt456789.prt567890.prt678901.prt Here's our scenarios: 1) Files in local dir:123456.asm234567.prt345678.prtFiles in read-only dir:456789.prt567890.prt678901.prt 2) Files in local dir:234567.prt345678.prtFiles in read-only dir:123456.asm
