when I click on windchill commonspace after changing my network from VPN back to intranet in my office, I see an error: windchill commonspace folder cannot be displayed community  

I made a recent change where I needed to turn off visibility/write access to specific attributes on WTParts. So profiles seemed the way to go. I made a profile that made the desired attributes be read only and added users to it.  Now, none of those users have the "New/Create Change Notice" option in Actions. Both the standard profile i made and the license profiles of the users have "Create Change Notices" and "Start Change Notice Executions" checked, though.  If I take the users out, the "New" with it's submenu returns. Why? 

For Windchill 12.0.2, the java 11.0.20 update did not allow Windchill to start up.  Per the support articles, it required cps 12.0.2.15 to resolve.  But we tested the new Java 11.0.21 and this one allows Windchill to start up without the cps 12.0.2.15 being installed and Windchill functions are all working.  When I asked tech support, they say R&D has not tested java 11.0.21 yet and has no comment.  My question is...  Do we still need cps 12.0.2.15?  Have others tried java 11.0.21?  Just trying to avoid pushing a cps install to avoid extra installation work.  Thanks for sharing your experience.

Hello, I am trying to upgrade my project from Windchill 11 to Windchill 12. I face the below issue when trying to compile the source code in eclipse. The error points to LoadPart.java file "The type wt.vc._MasterIteration cannot be resolved. It is indirectly referenced from required .class files" I have included all the necessary jar files in the build path of the project but the issue is still there. Cleaning and re-building of the project also didnt help. Kindly let me know if anyone has any idea as to how to resolve this. Thanks,     

Hey all, I'm using windchill 10.0 and despite trying my best, I'm unable to generate or create any change request or notice or any other option related to change family. I have seen many videos where there's direct option available for change request or notice etc etc but I cannot see none in my PC. I've tried generating new projects and giving my best to arrange a perfect workflow which in my opinion was the problem at first but I was wrong. I searched this forum and yet clueless. Let me specify my problem exactly. Problem: There's no option for change notice/request. Only promotion tab available. (also I've changed some settings for my site which are now not letting me even generate promotion request. would like to reset it as well to default settings first).

In Windchill PDM Link, under a Document's "Related Objects" tab, Is it possible to have actions on "Referenced By Documents" table just like how "References Documents" table has actions to add, create, copy paste. Please go through the screenshot attached for clear understanding. Is it possible to enable these actions through Configuration? Please suggest the possible ways and steps to do it. Dear Community, When we create any reference in EPM Documents, let's say we reference Part A in Drawing B and check-in both objects, we can see the reference in the related objects tab in Windchill. So far so good. When we now iterate Drawing B and replace Part A with Part B, we can still see the reference in Part A to the older iteration of the drawing. Which is technically true, but quite confusing for the users, as they just removed this reference. Do you know if there any option to only show latest versions of refernces (similar to the where used tab for WT-Parts)? Thanks in advance for any answer or hint and BRCHENAMA

Hitting a brick wall here so wondering if what PTC is recommending is my only solution. I have my doc worker setup as a service (worker daemon), logon as a system account. All office files publish fine except for Visio. You get the "doc2pv Fatal: Received signal 22, terminating" message. If I log into the CAD worker as myself and start the worker in foreground, it publishes Visio just fine. https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS387941?source=search indicates you need to run the worker in foreground mode and refers to this article to setup: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS93677 Changing to allow interaction with desktop did not change things. Is there a method to enable non org admin users the ability to edit org based ECN Templates.  Context managers can see all org ECN templates from the Product > Templates link; but are unable to edit the templates.  Looking for an easy way to enable edit by context managers. --Kirk Wemple

Hello Windchill Experts We have a Windchill 12.0.2.0 environment and we handle 3 CAD systems in it.All drawings are published as HPGL and PDF (PDFs available under "default" representation under files - see screenshot). We set up SOLR indexing and it is working so far good with all the DB fields.PDF indexing is also working for WTdocuments OOTB.Indexing Creo data could be activated through native data but with the other systems this doesn't help.  We are strugling with the published PDF content - I do not find anything in the documentation.In a indexed search webinar FELCO mentioned that indexing is also possible for additional CAD systems through published PDFs. Does anyone can give us a guidance how we can solve that? Thank you Marc

Do we have to check some others software parameters or physical configuration to avoird any issue, like any memory leaks ? What are the consequences of such change.
