Attached are two photos and the entire robot assembly. Trying to figure out a way to "mechanize" the linear slides. Basically there is a rope/wire that wraps around each pulley. The main wheel/pulley turns to "pull it tight" causing it to raise. And then unwinds to lower. I know in the picture the belt mechanism is not wired correct but it wants to wrap such it is continuous. If Creo can't really draw it, is there a method to control the motion from the motor such that as it rotates, the linear slides go up and down.
I try with the Download Manager and the HTTPS and said Network error. What are my options?
I have created a belt and turned into a part. And then was adding a sweep. But it doesn't seem to around the wheels. They cut in. What I am doing wrong
ROBOTalk – October 15, 2014In our fifth webinar of the season, we discussed team spirit, along with how to create subassemblies in PTC Creo. We also learned about the new AM-14U CAD model and recent updates to the Academic Windchill server.Recorded Video Link –Download: http://apps.ptc.com/schools/FIRST/Robotalk/ROBOTalk-20141015%202300-1.arfNote: The WebEx ARF player is required to playback the recording if you download it. Hello,I created a section of airplane wing from two sets of co-ordinates (top of wing and bottom of wing). Then, I imported this sketch of a wing into a part file in two separate planes. I then tried to blend the two sketches together but it failed to regenerate? Thanks
Hello, we just watched the Robotalk video for session 4 , how do we know if we have the latest version of Creo 2.0 for First students downloaded on our computers? The last time we downloaded the files I believe it was version M070, How can I check this within CREO ? I saw on Robotalk you added a new tab in CREO 2.0 called "Schools" , I'd like to have this set up on all of our CREO software for the team , do we need to reload CREO with a newer download version to get this Tab added? Should we wait for the 3.0 version to be available ? Thx The Robotalk sessions are GREAT !
This document explains how to configure Creo with the "Schools" tab. This is a configuration of Creo that puts the most commonly used commands on the Schools tab for each Creo Parametric application. Its great for beginners becuase it simplifies the number of icons and commands to look at. Its great for experienced users because it lets you spend less time learning the interface and more time designing your robot. This configuration also sets up standard file locations and some of the most frequently changed config.pro options to improve performance and usability. Click on the image to download your own copy.
Hello,I would need an advice how to resolve a problem with missing values in bill of material as shown on the pic below:The bill of material is made by repeat region by following way:from the left: - rpt.qty - asm.mbr.ptc_common_name - asm.mbr.ptc_material.PTC_MATERIAL_NAME - asm.mbr:ptc_material.PTC_MATERIAL_DESCRIPTION - in this collumn i would need to have information regarding heat treatment (for ex. 46-48HRC) - in this collumn i would need to have information regarding ČSN or DIN standard for parts like screws,nuts,... - rpt.indexthose two underlined informations needs to be added.Thank for help in advanceT.Hlavinka

Hello,I am trying to remove a twist in the middle of a section. The online PTC program told me to right-click a vertex of the end point of the blend and then select "Start Point" but this option doesn't seem to be there? I would appreciate some help. Thanks
Hey there,I'm a Student from Austria and I have bought that Student DVD at the University of Applied Science in Kufstein on 30/12/10. I used it on my Parallels Windows Partition on Mac and it worked pretty fine. Now i have got a new Mac and deleted this Windows Partition and the Licence I have created on that time.Is there any possibility to recreate this Licence to work with that DVD again?I tried to use the online Licence Tools but i have no permission as we have created Basic Accounts i guess. So now im sitting infront of my kind of useless ProE Wildfire 5.0 Student Edition DVD and have no clue what to do.Hope anybody of you could help me with this issue.Best RegardsDominik
For anyone using a Yahoo.com email address, Yahoo.com changed their security policy and no longer allows email to be sent via Yahoo.com unless it originates from Yahoo.com. This is very different from all the other email providers. Details of the change are described in the following links. PCWorld - Yahoo email anti-spoofing policy breaks mailing listsYahoo Help - Email service providers can't send to / from Yahoo addressesYahoo Tumblr - Yahoo DMARC Policy Change - What Should Senders Do?If you have a Yahoo.com email account, you will more than likely experience some issues sending team invites or using the Email Page option in Windchill. In the cases I have seen, the email from Windchill will be bounced back to the sender becuase the message is telling the receiving email system to reject it if the message did not originate from Yahoo.com. PTC is looking into the issue now to determine what options are available to work around this change by Yahoo.com without having a significant imp
For anyone interested in the CAD files for my entry in the October 1st ROBOTalk design challenge, I have posed the files here. If you are not familiar with the challenge, here is a description of the goal:Design a conceptual model of a robot with a lift mechanism (i.e. scissor, slider, etc.) that can lift a wiffle ball 120 cm. The starting conditions for the robot are that it has to fit in a cube 18in x 18in x 18 in.My description for the project is below:I finished a model for my team, FTC team 542 WHS Robotics. The drive train is our CAD model from one of our robots from last season. The lift, however, is new and definitely only a conceptual model. It is a mixed design between a four bar linkage and a linear elevator: it uses drawer slides to extend the links in the four bar arm. This idea came from one of my team's potential designs for the Ring it up! season that was ultimately scrapped in the brainstorming phase. Please note that the two-part slide models were simplified from the

We're excited about the new Windchill server, and would like to try using it to work collaboratively on our CREO models this build season. I have a small group of students ready to start designing some stuff right away, but I'm having trouble adding them to our Windchill project. The students who were already on Windchill seem to still be there, but if I search for other returning team members the search comes back empty. They can still login to their PTC accounts, but I can't find them on Windchill. We have been able to add a new student who just created her account a week ago, it seems to only be a problem with older accounts. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks,Noa RensingFRC Team 2877 The LigerbotsNewton MA
Subject instructions are to "unzip" the zip file. However, there is not one file but two ('MED-100WIN-CD-390_M120_Win32-64.zip.part' and 'MED-100WIN-CD-390_M120_HelpCenter.zip.part'), and neither are .zip files: both are .part files. One cannot "unzip" .part files until they are successfully merged into a single .zip file. Can someone please provide the instructions for accomplishing this merge operation?
This question comes up frequently, so I thought it would be good to get a note out to everyone. In most schools, you cannot send an email to a student's "school" email address from outside the school's domain. Teachers and other students can email each other becuase they all have an account on the same closed system. When adding new team members to your Windchill project, it is best to use the student's personal email address. An address that is not restricted by the school. I understand some students may not have an external email address. You'll need to work with those students and their parents to confirm their use of an external email address and discuss any restrictions applied to the account. The Windchill invitations are sent from the Windchill server, using the email ID you used for your PTC account. If any of the recipients are blocking "unknown" email addresses, your message will be rejected or sent directly to the Spam folder. If you can send a message to everyone from your ow

I'm having trouble assigning, accepting or reassigning tasks (action items). I get a message stating that I can only reassign workflow tasks that I own or are in an object that I manage. I doubt I manage the context, but I created the task and assigned it to myself, so I thought I should be able to reassign.Anyone else having this trouble? It seems to happen with both a Site and a FIRST level account.
I recently downloaded Mathcad Prime 2.0 academic version for use by my FTC team, but every mathcad worksheet file I try to read gives me the following error: What did I do wrong or does the version I have not read all these files? Thanks, Rookie Coach FTC Team 8477 rOHMing Robots
