I'm seeing some issues in Team management.1. I'm unable to add members with Site level accounts into roles other than their initial one. The search options only seem to return First level accounts and I haven't figured out how to edit a Site level account into a First account. We've got mentors who are PTC customers with preexisting accounts. Rather than force them to create new accounts with different email addresses, I'd like for them to be able to work with their current accounts.2. Search function in Add Members time's out before it returns results. Sometimes this is recoverable with wait or refresh attempts, but it looks like it's searching a large dataset that doesn't have a good index.3. Using local email client to send mail to the team transfers the subject line, but not the addressees from Windchill.
I think there is a problem with the Creo model set I downloaded from the PTC FIRST site. The toughbox on back side of AM14U Wide assembly is too low. Looks like output shaft is mated to lower bearing instead of upper. I pulled a fresh set down to make sure the problem was not something I did locally. Maybe this can be fixed before a lot of teams try to use the models.
As part of a continuous improvement process, I would like to reach out to the community to see if anyone would be willing to volunteer to support an "Academic Server Advisory Group". I'm envisioning the group as a collection of Windchill Administrators, PTC Power Users, Industry Experts and others who would like to help guide the direction, configuration and customization of the Academic Windchill server; all with an eye toward FIRST and high school students as the primary users. Its not a big time commitment. I'd like to start with a closed group in the community to share where we've been and we're we'd like to get to. From there, its really up to you how you'd like to participate. Happy to have people take on an advisory role, but also looking for people to contribute ideas, suggestions and experiences from their own Windchill implmentation. If you're interested, simply reply here or send me a private message. Once I've got a handfull of people, I'll get things started.

I do not know how to find the product code for the academic edition of the Creo 2.0 in order to finish the installation of the software.
Whenever I try to align to parts on the same axis, it does this. It makes it very difficult to assemble parts; I have to guess at which one is the correct piece. Someone from the Creo Workshop said that this was a configuration problem, but I'm unsure how to fix it. Help, please? Thank you!
I'm currently trying to reproduce the concept model that Jordan made on this week's Robotalk, but I'm having a tough time with it. I'm not sure if its the fact that I'm still using 2.0, and he was running 3.0, or if I'm doing something else completely different. I'd like to get this figured out, so I can assist my teams this weekend as they work on their plans. When I open up a new assembly, my model tree looks different from Jordan's. I don't have the datums displayed in the model tree like he did. This is how Jordan's model tree looks. When I click create, and try to "copy from existing", there is nothing to copy. Is there a setting I need to change that will allow me to see all the datum planes within my model tree? They appear correctly when I'm creating a part, but not an assembly. Thanks
Team 175 has had a Windchill Project site for a few years. I forgot now but was it migrated to the Current WC 10.2, i.e. am I all set to go? Or need to start a new site?

ROBOTalk – October 1, 2014In our third webinar of the season, we discussed brainstorming tips and tricks for teams, along with how to create conceptual designs in PTC Creo in both 2D sketches and in 3D solid models. We also watched Mark Cheli create a conceptual scissor lift design in about 15 minutes.Recorded Video Link –Download Link: http://apps.ptc.com/schools/FIRST/Robotalk/ROBOTalk-20141001%202259-1.arfNote: The WebEx ARF player is required to playback the recording if you download it. has the creo 3.0 student edition been released?
In the model ribbon clicking the style button does nothing. There is no response of any sort the next ribbon that is expected does not appear. Is there anything that I should have installed to be able to do this or is it that I am currently using a trial version? Thanks,Chris
While working on the 2015 KOP, it seemed like it was time to redo this assmebly now that there's more time and properly add in all the gear connections. (view in My Videos)
i am running a emulator on a mac for windows 7 so that i can use mathcad. before u stop reading plz help, this was the cheapest way to do it since i am in college. with that said everything seems to be working fine except for the data table function. it wont let me input a table or if a table is in a worksheet it wont recognize that there is one there. i figure that it might be something not being converted in the emulator but i was wondering if there was anyway to check that it is just on the windows 7 side and not the mac side.
Hi. this is satya. I've downloaded creo 2.0 student copy from the ptc website. I saved that on my desktop. Nextly I've turned my firewall OFF and started installation. It was asking for licence key but I couldn't find the licence file.Could you guide me on archieving a licence key for the product?
Hi Tim/Every one! As you know we've got a basic printer as school and it works OK but- now that we've got going with Creo I'm experimenting with intefacing components to make "real world" products. Its a ring and when you wiggle your fingers the arms move!Except our 3D printer is struggling to print the arms.I've uploaded the Creo file (any suggestions on getting the meech right?) and an stl version if anyone owoud like to have a go at tthe product.Let me know how you get on and hoow the parts interfaced.Best regardsPeter
Creo quality agent fails to install at 36%. Tried many times. Made sure to run setup as admin and turned of antivirus. When I run creo parametric, it says I need to register the quality agent. I say OK and it crashes with error code 0x0...09. I know the quality agent is required for academic licensing. This is for an FTC team. Here is the install log: Overlapped I/O operation is in progress.
I have 2 questions.1. I have assembled a *.cem (creo layout 2.0) but I can's see any of the lines I sketched in creo layout 2.0. 2. I have creo parametric 2.0 m070 (academic) but I didn't find the button to start creo layout direct from creo parametric. What have I mised or have I only the wrong version?
Hello!I am using the Creo 2.0 Student Version and have had to request a new license a few weeks ago. I did so on the website and with the new product code I was able to create a new license file. However, when starting up Creo 2.0, I am still getting an error concerning license failure. Thank you very much for your help!
I registered multiple teams and got the email to that effect but have yet to see them appear in Windchill alongside my team from last year. What must I do to see my new teams in Windchill?-Eric
