Helped by the government initiatives promoting 3D printers for STEM in schools I am looking at projects that make full use of their capabilities.How about a small folding tripod for compact cameras and smart phones?  The attached model has a conventional 1/4 Whitworth bolt for mounting the camera. You may be thinking "where is the design in this?" Apart from redesigning the components, very few smart phones have a thread mount so challenge students to create an attachment that screws on to hold their smart phone.The tripod in the photo has benefited from being printed by several of the Creo trainers and Dave White at Clevedon School.  Feedback from these people has been invaluable in improving the model.PTC Creo models are in the attached Zip file.  If your students create smart phone holders, please share screen grabs and photos in this forum thread..

While building our current FTC robot model in Creo, we noticed quite a few missing parts! Notably the "Inside C" bracket, "Inside L" bracket, the TETRIX Flats (64mm, 96mm, 160mm, & 288mm), and a few other things.These parts have been around since at least last season. The KoP we downloaded from PTC is still named "Ring it Up" and I'm afraid it hasn't been updated. Any parts numbered past 739197 (eg: 739274) do NOT exist.Does anyone have the Creo models for these parts, or know why they aren't incldued in the KoP download?Thank you from FTC Team 5526!!

These are some parts missing from the new TETRIX Kit that we have modelled. This zip file has the Inside C Connector (739270), Inside Corner Bracket (739281), and Standard-Scale Pivot Arm (739245). Hello, I'm a french student, and I've started to learn technical drawing this year in Creo Element 5.0 School edition But after one month of good work, Creo became very slow, all tools don't really answer or just run extremely slowly. I don't think that the problem comes from my laptop because he is powerful (intel I5, 6144 MB RAM). I don't know where is the problem and If you have an idee to help me : your'e welcome !I've one question: can I uninstall and reinstall the software without problem with license ?Thank youJean-Baptiste Vassort

Can I add/remove commands within the main ribbon interface? I RMB on the ribbon and select "Customize the ribbon" but the add/remove commands are greyed out. I found that if I pick home, data tabs I can not add or remove any of the previously placed commands. Has PTC locked this option? I have downloaded and installed build M070 but seem to remember in previous builds I could adjust these.Thank you...

More useful than the chocolate version, the Cadogan teapot has no apparent way of filling it. A PDF in the zip file explains more.

We found one tutorial and it seems to be very thorough but we can’t find the parts for the treads to try out the tutorial instructions. Creo Modeling Challenge!   At the conclusion of this week's Robotalk session, we had a couple of questions around the best way to create an 8020 profile. With so many choices available, we decided to put the challenge back on the community. What do you think the best way to model an 8020 profile is? One feature? Ten features? Hey every time i open parametric it displays the waring : "Liscense request faailed for feature"Windows 864bitLenovo

While attempting to install a student version of Creo/ProEngineer Wildfire 5.0 from online I encountered a problem with the license configuration. I have an valid user account and internet access. I entered my PTC username and password on the License Configuration page of the setup.exe. The instructions then indicate for me to select the "Generate License Files" radio button, however, the username/password fields as well as the selection button is grayed out and doesn't allow me to proceed.Any help would be greatly appreciated.William Duncan

Hello,I have been using Creo Parametric 2.0 Student Edition for a while and it has worked fine until now. Yesterday, after checking a piece I rendered a couple of weeks ago something really weird happened. Whilst the sketch looks perfectly fine once the piece is rendered the view is completely messed up.The sketch is the following. The sketch is revolved along an axis in the middle of the right and front plane:This shape worked fine every time since I first modelled it. However since yesterday it fails to generate a proper shape and it appears like this instead of how it should appear.The rest of the shapes I've modelled work perfectly fine and this error only happens with this particular piece. When I edit definition everything appears normal but then the error happens once again. I have tried regenerating but it just doesn't work. Do I have to remodel the piece or is this error fixable?Thanks in advance for your help

I've installed Creo 2.0 academic version and it will not run.If I remove the quality agaent then it closes reporting error code 09 and if I install the quality agent it fails to run at all and windows closes the program.Any help on this would be much appreciated.Thanks,Jake.

I can't uninstall CREO2. Why I need it - because my WF5 won't run after CREO2 F000, but F001 not help - old build is still here plus additionaly I got F001. Each time I push UNinstall button in "Uninstall a programm" menu - I get not helping window with just ERROR word in it.

Perhaps there is a misspelling in the server name, or the server no longer exists. Double-check the name and try again.

Hi, our team has begun development on our robot within creo. I want to demonstrate an arm and how far it can move but the parts intersect when I use the drag components button. For the FTC field the balance arms some how don't intersect with the floor mats when using drag components. I would like to know how this functionality was achieved so we can implement it into our design. Any ideas?
