I am brand new to Windchill and need a little help.My use case: I am creating Event Trees. The probability of a success or failure is a fixed probability. The events are user defined at this time. I am not using fault trees to calculate probability of success, or MTBF, etc.I looked through the on-line tutorials, but couldn't find anything that addressed Event Trees by themselves. Did I miss a tutorial?How can I print out the event tree as a picture like is shown on the screen as I am editiing, adding columns, etc.?Once I have an event tree, is there an easy way to reorder the columns (the events)?How can I save part of an event tree, to import it into another tree?Let's say I have a report that provides information about a branch or an event in the tree. How can I link that report to a branch or event?TIA,John

In Creo Parametric, there is an application called Animate. Is it possible to do other animations besides exploding the model? If there is, how would it be achieved on a tetrix assembly in creo?

Alex Hanneman - Bradfield School is studying engineering and posted a photo album for his design for a can crusher.http://communities.ptc.com/photos/4089Several schools have enquired about the mechanism and animation tools in Creo so I created a model that uses them. The attached Zip contains the Creo 2.0 Academic Edition assembly and a video output from the Animation.After creating the parts the base part was assembled using a default assembly constraint so that it cannot move.  The other parts were assembled using pin and slider mechanism constraints. Two snapshots were created, one with the lever raised(Open) and the other with it lowered(closed).Under the Applications tab, the Animation module was opened and a new key frame sequence created. Three key frames were added with an Open snapshot at 0 seconds, a Closed snapshot at 5 seconds and another Open snapshot at 10 seconds.  The timeline was edited to be 11 seconds creating a one second pause when playback is looped.The

I always get "Model is not generated" conflict message when I save the assembly after using Drag Components.Is this message informational or is this an error that I need to address? or can I ignore this message?Thanks,

I have registered a team and did not know their e-mail addresses at the time of registration. It said under the team e-mail box that I can add their e-mail addresses later. I have looked all over the sight and can not find out where to do this. I figured there would be some central place where I can update their names and e-mail addresses but I can not find it. Do I just re-submit the registration form with their e-mail addresses added in? If not, can someone please direct me to the proper location to do this?Thanks

Helped by the government initiatives promoting 3D printers for STEM in schools I am looking at projects that make full use of their capabilities.How about a small folding tripod for compact cameras and smart phones?  The attached model has a conventional 1/4 Whitworth bolt for mounting the camera. You may be thinking "where is the design in this?" Apart from redesigning the components, very few smart phones have a thread mount so challenge students to create an attachment that screws on to hold their smart phone.The tripod in the photo has benefited from being printed by several of the Creo trainers and Dave White at Clevedon School.  Feedback from these people has been invaluable in improving the model.PTC Creo models are in the attached Zip file.  If your students create smart phone holders, please share screen grabs and photos in this forum thread..

While building our current FTC robot model in Creo, we noticed quite a few missing parts! Notably the "Inside C" bracket, "Inside L" bracket, the TETRIX Flats (64mm, 96mm, 160mm, & 288mm), and a few other things.These parts have been around since at least last season. The KoP we downloaded from PTC is still named "Ring it Up" and I'm afraid it hasn't been updated. Any parts numbered past 739197 (eg: 739274) do NOT exist.Does anyone have the Creo models for these parts, or know why they aren't incldued in the KoP download?Thank you from FTC Team 5526!!

These are some parts missing from the new TETRIX Kit that we have modelled. This zip file has the Inside C Connector (739270), Inside Corner Bracket (739281), and Standard-Scale Pivot Arm (739245). Hello, I'm a french student, and I've started to learn technical drawing this year in Creo Element 5.0 School edition But after one month of good work, Creo became very slow, all tools don't really answer or just run extremely slowly. I don't think that the problem comes from my laptop because he is powerful (intel I5, 6144 MB RAM). I don't know where is the problem and If you have an idee to help me : your'e welcome !I've one question: can I uninstall and reinstall the software without problem with license ?Thank youJean-Baptiste Vassort

Can I add/remove commands within the main ribbon interface? I RMB on the ribbon and select "Customize the ribbon" but the add/remove commands are greyed out. I found that if I pick home, data tabs I can not add or remove any of the previously placed commands. Has PTC locked this option? I have downloaded and installed build M070 but seem to remember in previous builds I could adjust these.Thank you...

We found one tutorial and it seems to be very thorough but we can’t find the parts for the treads to try out the tutorial instructions. Creo Modeling Challenge!   At the conclusion of this week's Robotalk session, we had a couple of questions around the best way to create an 8020 profile. With so many choices available, we decided to put the challenge back on the community. What do you think the best way to model an 8020 profile is? One feature? Ten features?
