based on the title, my copy of student edition couldn't run creo parametric because it could not run quality agent. any suggestion?

I'm currently switching over to Creo Parametrics Academic version with the goal of designing a frame for SAE Baja. I want to do a FEA of the final design in order to take off members of the frame that aren't necesary to make it lighter. Before I dedicate the time on designing the frame I want to do an FEA of the main hoop to make sure I know what I'm doing and can't seem to find any resources of what I need. Do I have to tell it to weld the joints? How do choose the metal for the material? How do I make custom OD's and wall thickness on AFX? How do I get FEA to work on Creo Parametric? Help on any of these questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

New to PTC/Creo. We will start up a new course in CAD next fall. Have installed and gone through a few tutorials in Ptc/Creo. However, I haven't found a simple outline of curriculum anywhere. With all the available tutorials and projects, it's hard to know where to start and how to build the knowledge forward. My students will start out without any knowledge of CAD. The goal is to turn them into productive designers in about 4 months time. And most important, maintain their interest throughout the process. Anyone who has worked with this product on the High School level who is willing to share a simple curriculum map outline? Thanks?

HiI've just reinstalled Creo Parametric 2.0 a couple of times now but I'm still facing the same problem. I am not sure what would be the problem but the details are as follows:I clicked Creo Parametric to run. Nothing happens.I am running windows 8 64 bit.It worked fine before this.Cheers.

Hi All, I did an internship and I'm looking to practice with some of the parts and assenmblies I woked with from the company. Unfortunetly they were made in a commercial version of WF 4.0 and the student edition of CREO 2.0 won't let me open them.Is there a way to work around this? Can I convert the parts? Is there a cheap version of W.F. 4.0 I could buy?Any help would be appreciated. Even if there's a way to just view the parts and assemblies it would help.Thanks,Alex

HI, I have downloaded student edition of the creo 2.0 but i face some difficulties in installing it to my laptop. I have the product code but the space for entering the product code is not enabled during the installation.It also asks for the license summary but i am not clear with that thing can any one help me to install creo 2.0 or provide me with an installation guide.

I'm working on creating struts for a vehicle using Creo Parametric 2.0, and I've been having issues trying to get the spring to become flexible, allowing it to shring/grow by specified amounts. The spring I designed is in its maximum height situation, and I'm trying to get it to be able to shring when it's attached to a couple other pieces that I will allow to move (dampener and top bottom part of the strut). The assembly is a rough approximation of what the real item might look like. I've attached the individual files and assembly file to this post.In addition, there is a black, flexer piece that is attached, which I was able to make flexible by allowing the angle of the flexing pieces to change, but I have no idea if it will actually work.The essential idea behind all of this is that I could grab the top piece, drag it downward, and the spring and flexing piece would flex, along with the plunger portion moving down/up.

After downloading Creo 2.0 and Creo 1.0 student editions, the zip files are not opened.They show error in opening.Please help in this issue.

I was wondering whether the Creo Advanced Frameworks extension was available to FRC teams. I was recently discussing CAD software with some people who mentioned that, for something like FRC, the Frameworks extension was probably the way to go and one of the major advantages they saw to using Creo as opposed to another program. I haven't seen anything on that before (having really only limeted my use of Creo to the Parametric app and a little bit of simulation), and to be honest I had no idea that there were extensions for stuff like that for Creo. It makes me wonder a bit whether there's been anything else I'm missing that would speed up our process!Anyways, just looking for whether anyone knows if the Frameworks extension is available to FRC teams, and if so, how to access it.

Can Creo 2.0 still be used on our home computer with this software or do we not have the right requirements. Downloaded it but it won't run.

When I try to generate a license code it tells me invalid and to contact support. When I try to use the license code I rec'd in the email I get the following error message. Being fairly new at PTC/Creo, I often find myself in the middle of a complex 2d sketch and then when I try to save it gives an error like. Too many open loops.I search over the sketch, re-examine dimensions, check lines... intersections... and eventually find a stray line bit or something not quite square.The question is. Does anyone have any tricks, or perhaps there is a way in the software, to analyze the sketch and bring out these errors quickly. Hellojust wondering, when we did our training we got Creo 1 discs (which I uploaded on to my home pc) and now we have Creo 2 on the school system. Is it possible to update Creo 1 to Creo 2 or do I need to uninstall Creo 1 to upload 2? also is there a link to upload 2?thanksJeremy

Hello everybody!!Ok, so I've been working with some stuff related with tags and wrapping but I'm in a biiig trouble! When I try to create a new tag, Arbortext tells me that is out of context, I understand this is because this new tag is not in my DTD, is that correct? However, I would like to know if there's an option to create or modify my configuration in order to declare my new tag. Please, i f anybody have more information about this topic, I would really really appreciate your help. I'm sad because I haven't found any detailed information.
