Pro/Engineer Schools Eidition runs very slowly on my laptop, specificly datum highlighting which seems to take 10-15 seconds...I have a Windows 7 Ulti 32 laptop with a Dual Core 2.0 GHz Processor and 2GB of ram.I've installed ProE on less powerful system without an issue, and ideas? Maybe a regeneration issue of some sort?Thank you for any help!

Hi,small question. i built a part in proe (creo elements pro ) now i know its going to be manufactured using bends. how can i flatten it? is there a feature that does it? thanks,Itzik

I just want to throw this question out to the community. Are you using Mathcad in any way, shape or form to help design your FRC or FTC robot?As a mentor, I'm just dying to use this stuff, I just haven't found the time to implement it and don't have the teacher involvement to help...yet.I would love to hear ways that other teams are using Mathcad.

I am looking for refrences for "cool stuff" that Creo can do. im not such an advanced user myself so im basicly looking for something that has a buzz effect (more than your regular tutorials on ptc university)anything recommended? Hi all,I am the Academic Program Manager for Mathcad at PTC. I know that some FIRST Mentors make use of Mathcad in FIRST (or their courses) and others never install the software. I want to introduce myself so that folks will know that they have a contact for Mathcad at PTC.I joined PTC in June after 20 years' experience in math education as a teacher, researcher, and teacher educator. However, I have NO idea where to go from here. There is no icon to open the program and several links within the folder. Please help a newbie figure out how to start the program! 🙂

Hi FIRST Mentors...I am new to FIRST and the PTC community, though I have been using ProE for 14+ years while at Schneider Electric. I am helping several local Eastern Iowa FTC teams this year, and I will also be a hardware inspector volunteer for scrimmages and our championship.I have Creo 5 up and running on my machine, and so far it looks good. Hi all,I just attended scott morris webinar and i have a question regarding working in windchill with cad files.is there a tutorial\pdf file about how to work with cad files in windchill? if i have an asm and i checked it in, do i have to check in all the prt related to it? lets say i did, and i want to check out the asm, do i have to also check out all the prt related to it ? awaiting replythanks,Itzik

Hi everybody! Happy New Year!I am new member here. Do you still know what I did last summer? Well, I do: I bought a Pro/E WF4 Student license and designed some small parts and an electric generator which is already running now (some neodyme magnets, about one kg of copper wire and some laser cutted alumnium and iron parts). The generator is now installed in a modified "cross trainer" and works pretty nice. Next step would be to attach it to a wind wheel ...My problem: After a system crash I had to re-install my full system. But now I can't install WF4 Student anymore. After some investigations I have a suspicion that the ptc server doesn't provide the neccessary installation files (everything works fine until we come the the download part of the installation, then no further network activities can be observed).Can I download the full installation pack somewhere - a zip or iso or something like that?Thanks, Achim

To whom may concern, I have just got a new computer that has windows 7 home on it. When the creo (pro engineer) 5.0 is downloaded and installed. I click on the icon and it says that browse for the given file proe.exe. I looked in the file and it isn't there. I really need help with this. When are they process videos going to be made available? Or if they are already available how do we get to them?

I just ran across an issue that has been common ever since PTC got involved, and I'm hoping to get it resolved for this season.We usually have problems with Pro/E models of Andy Mark gear boxes, basically due to updates, or the simple fact that they are only available in neutral file format.Are there any teams out there that have fully featured Pro/E gear boxes? Are your part numbers matching what is in the KOP, or what is in the AndyMark catalog?Would it be beneficial for your team for analysis/weights/BOM information?Thanks,Josh

Hallo ich habe mir letzte Woche Creo/elements Pro als Download zugelegt ,Download hat auch funktioniert .Nur besteht das Problem das die Installation bei 2% einfriert und sich auch nach 18 h nichts getan hat ,ich hab schon Virenscanner Firewall und was weiß ich was deaktiviert , wo liegt das Problem ???Vom Student-Support hab ich noch keine Re bekommen .Hat jemand eine Idee ???PS : Ja ich habe NTFS, und alles was die Liste hergibt .

We are watching the video and the video for ptc is a 4.0 and is their anyone who can teach us on how to use the ptc softrware.

I downloaded the Personal Use (Student) addition of Creo/Wildire 5.0. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate in 32 bit form. It seemed to install okay, even put a shortcut on my desktop, however it seems that the pro.exe file is missing. Did I miss a step?Thanks

My team for the F.I.R.S.T robotics has recieved a grant to use their software. The current video for the creo program is an out dated and it is not no help what so ever. HeyWhile following the same process as the video when i am imputting the coordinates for the airfoil shape the file keeps saving as a .pts.txt instead of just a .pts and i can not open it in proe. Do you know what is wrong.
