Hi! Unfortunately we have lost the exe files for Arbortext Editor 7.0 - I say 7.0 because that is the version our license is for, but i was using 7.1.   Our Sales Order number (SON) and  the SCN number do not let us download the required files - but we have a permanent valid license for Arbortext Editor 7.0 I have sent a support request, but as our details are not recognized the route the support requests goes is taking some time. I have a valid license but no tool to use it with 😞 and, of course, I'm unable to carry on with my work that is in Arbortext Editor. Is this all I can do? Does anyone know how we can access and  download the files we need? Many thanks David

Would it be possible to generate a toc in the Editor?We're using Styler to generate the ToC inside the pdf. We are also using Styler to increase the author's user experience in the Editor. On the Editor side, the toc feature doesn't generate anything. Perhaps there's a workaround with generated text (maybe a source edit?)? We're on Arbortext 8.0

Afternoon~ My team currently has Arbortext 7.1 deployed out to them for editing various .xml files. Long story short - When we switched database software, there were some issues and all the highly customized stylesheets (.fos) we had were lost. Through a pain staking process these stylesheets were restored - however, graphic files (.cgm, .svg, .png etc) are no longer displaying for the team within the Editor window.  I've verified that the graphics selection is checked underneath the view tab. Within the Entities tab, both the graphic name, file name and notation are properly declared (Graphic), as well the notation name and system ID (Notations). Adding in hotspot data for sheet to sheet linking is fully functional. I want to draw a polyline that has squared off ends. I can get the polyline to do square corners but I have not been able to get the end of the line squared off. We export our images to a folder once completed so our other programs can see what the image is. Currently we export all of the images to one folder. This has become an issue so i have split the folder into 1000 image folders. Instead of using color can you create a hatch pattern for a line.  Bryon

We have a macro that inserts the file name of the file onto the illustration. Is there a way to make the text background white automatically? We currently do it manually after we add the text by the macro. If I try to create a macro the option to modify the text background is greyed out.   Thanks

Hello,    Has any one successfully integrated Multimedia files (.mp4) in files that are created using Arbortext editor (starting 7.x) and published it in PDF/HTML versions?   Even though the release notes say this feature as an enhancement from 7.X and further in Styler 8.1 (for publishing) there is really no Article or Help menu sections that are of real help.   Tech Support is also vague on this topic and they give confusing answers to achieve this.   I'm super confused if this is not an OOTB feature, why does PTC boast this as an enhancement in the release notes without giving any proper update or help for customers on this? There are literally no videos in any of the demos nor courses in PTC University that covers this feature.   Appreciate any help on this and Thanks in advance!

We are using Arbortext Editor 7.0 M030. Is it possible to change the font size of menus in Arbortext Editor? Also, I would be interested in learning if it is possible to change the size of buttons in the toolbar?   Any tips would be much appreciated.   Thanks.

I have looked for an answer in the various posts but have not found anything, so here is the question. I am using Arbortext Editor 5.3. We have a couple of script files (init.acl and user.acl) on a network folder, say s:\scripts. To avoid network latency the script files are copied to a local hard drive and loaded from there when Arbortext is executed. Occasionally one or more of these scripts may change. I want to make it easy for users to check for updates by providing an menu option they can use.  The idea is it checks the version of the local script and then checks the version of the network script.   In each script file I put a version that I want to check against later, e.g $initscriptver=1 and $userscriptver=1,  what I want to do in my check_for_updates.acl script is something similar to the following: Open the network script file (e.g. s:\scripts\init.acl) Find the line containing the version number (e.g. $initscriptver=1) Extract the version number from th

Hello, I have to work with an already developped FOSI environment (xxx.style) Arbortext Editor Styler 6.0 My problem is that thead is not repeated after page break in the tables, there is just the first thead at the beginning of the table, and nothing after the page break. Where could I found a method to have thead at the beginning of every new page of the table ?  where is it configured ? is it in table ? in tgroup ? in thead ? in tbody ? Arbortext Editor/Styler/Publishing Engine 8.0.2.0 and Arbortext Layout Developer/Arbortext Layout Editor 12.0.2.0 have released!   These releases include customer critical bug fixes.   There is an installer issue related to the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime.  You must download and install the 2019 version of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable from Microsoft.  The 2019 version includes the 2015 and 2017 content.
