The wheel scroll zooming feature quit working, in IsoDraw 7.3. It has been working, as expected, until recently. It works fine, in other PTC applications, I.E. Creo Illustrate and Creo View. I am running Windows 10. I have followed the recommendations to turn off "Scroll inactive windows..." with no results.
If possible, Please add features like creating Tables in IsoDraw it would be very grateful. Anil.
When we create the list of revisions it is not always in order. We manually publish the pdf and adjust the table accordingly, by looking at the pdf to see what the page number is. Looking for a better method. My thoughts are either have a script that when the document is open it checks the xrefs in the first column against the ditamap, and copy's and pastes the row in a new table at the bottom of the document in the correct order. Or a script were have to publish the pdf once to get the page number, enter it in a comment. Thanks Bryon
Hello, I've been tasked with adding a note to a page that displays in the header of a pageset. Everything was implemented and works, except that now the header size can be various heights, if the note is long enough. Previously the header was hard set to a certain height so that the content inside the tag would start immediately after the header. But now that the size of the header can be changed depending on what the document writer puts, this no longer works. Is there a way to set a header to be dynamic in height so that rather it's 1 or 3 lines the following content will start relative to this new header height? We're using Arbortext 7.1 fosi.
Hi there, I'm researching if/how you can schedule a publishing job through the publishing engine. For example, Someone has a really large document that takes hours to publish, we would like to able to hold off on publishing these until say 9:00 pm when everyone's left the office. I've been looking through some documentation I found online and if i'm understanding it correctly, it looks like it needs to be custom made with Java.
Hello, I find that when tag templates are created, they are saved to my local drive. Has anyone found a way of using them to single source for an entire department? Thanks.
This is for "For Web" publishing (see screenshot below). I started with the default frameset found in C:\Program Files\PTC\Arbortext Editor\framesets\default (as pictured below). As a test, I just threw in a "<xsl:value-of select='//date'/>" which did not work (pictured below). Does anyone know how I can pass data from the source XML file to the frameset? I know I can retrieve the publish date on the client side using JavaScript, but I would like to limit the client side processing as much as possible. Thanks, -James

I am using the latest version of Styler and having an issue creating a variable header. I have a manual that has multiple sections each with it's own title. I need to display the section title in both of the left and right headers of the body pageset. The problem I am having is how to get the current section title to display for just that section. The next section needs to display it's related title and so on. I have been trying straight XPath, XPath with conditions /manual//section[1]/title, both with and without ufe's. Can anyone please tell me if I this is possible or if there is some other method I should try? Any help is greatly appreciated. This is driving me crazy! It seems like it should be somewhat simple.
Trying to add the set preference to my queue menu, but it does not seem to work. Looking for some guidance in ACL. # create menuif (!menu_exists('.Window')) {return;} if ( !menu_exists( '.Queue.' ) ) { menu_add -menu .Window "Queue"; menu_add "Queue." ""Long" cmd "set -preference petransactionoptions = \"queueID:long\""";menu_add "Queue." ""Short" cmd "set -preference petransactionoptions = \"queueID:short\""";menu_add "Queue." ""None" cmd "set -preference petransactionoptions = \"queue:yes\"""; } } # _addmenu() Thanks BRyon

So I was making changes to an existing stylesheet and noticed that a section's page number wasn't increasing any. The page number is set in the page set, But it seems to always be on 1 no matter how many pages there are for it. I find it weird because other sections page numbering is working as intended and as far I can tell These ones are set up in the same fashion. These last two are from the same section, notably with the same page number even though they are separate pages.
The issue we are seeing is that when we use svgs in editor everything is showing that was in the isodraw file. PTC support says that clippath element is ignored by IsoView. What do you do to your svgs to get them to clip properly in Editor, web and pdf output. We are currently using CGMS and they operate as expected. The image attached shows an extra arrow that is in the isodraw file (blue box), with the cgm the image cropped (Inner black box) to just show the image, where the svg shows shows everything. When the svg is viewed in a web browser it looks as expected also. Thanks Bryon
So I was trying to add a cross reference to our TOC to have it navigate somewhere else than the starting page of what the TOC is referencing. When I did, I see that it generated properly into the TOC, but when you click on it, it just goes to the first page of that section, like when you click anywhere on it. The 20-10-00.000 is the refint that generates the cross reference. This is used elsewhere and does successfully jump to the referenced area. However, in the TOC, it just goes to the first page instead. I was thinking that perhaps it's just a quirk of TOC that the entire body of that line is treated as a link to that page. But I decided to try an external link and that does allow you to click on it separately and goes to the external link like it's supposed to. I then tried to use an internal link under introduction, but that acts the same way as the refint did and ignores where it's marked to go and instead goes to the 1st page.

Hi there, I was wondering if it possible to add a link to both the first page and last page of a section. Like for example, bellow has a has a section that starts on page 1 and ends at page 13. What we're wanting to have happen is when you click on the 1, you'll be sent to the 1st page of that section. Conversely, when you click on the 13, you'll be sent to the last page of that section. I'm not sure if this functionality is possible, but if anyone has any clues on how it could be done I'd appreciate the assistance.
Hello, With the ACL language, How to convert in a string the character entity "amp" to the real character "&"? I would like a function which converts all entities. David
I'm having issues importing a DWG into Isodraw 7.3. We are just looking at migrating off of 7.0 and of course looking at the latest version. First thing we tried was importing a DWG, which is a common task we do. This is the format our electrical schematics and controls drawings are done in. This is what the Autocad image looks like:When imported into Isodraw it looks like:I submitted a PTC ticket on this as well. But if anyone has seen this I'd love to hear from you.
I used the Table of Contents objects to build a Table of Contents for HTML Help. However, I can't seem to customize or format the Table of Contents object. When I select the Add... button in the Customize Table of Contents window, there's even a note that changes will not effect my Table of Contents. So how can I customize my Table of Contents object for HTML Help? I cannot use a basic formal block/title object model to create my Table of Contents. To start, I have to combine two elements to create a work package title - hardware name and maintenance action (like combining "Rear Wheel" with "Remove"). Thanks, -James

What settings should I be using so SVG's that are exported from Isodraw maintain a certain size for pdf but are scalable for web. I have tried a fixed image size and that did not seem to work. I also tried setting the size to 100% and that did not work either. Thanks Bryon
For example: There are two identical bolts on the illustration. How to create callouts for them with the same number? Now, each bolt has different number("1" and "2").
Sure would be nice if I could use my Isodraw over a remote desktop. Is this possible? Tells me my License request has failed. Bryon
