Hi Everyone,   I just installed CREO Elements Direct Modeling Express 8.0 and I'm running it on Windows 10 Home Version 21H1.  My laptop has the following specs:   Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz RAM: 16GB Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce RTX2070   When I launch the program it stalls out and never loads.  I have launch the program in verbose mode.  The launch process stalls at initializing base_start.    Anybody have this problem and have found a work around?      

I see wtpub in my config.pro before all my directory locations. What are it and its use? Where did we get this one?exp: drawing_setup file wtpub://windchill/Libraries/CAD/Standards......etc..  Thank YouKumar

The license period used by the company is too short. I think it's about a week.Is there a way to extend the period?

Hi all, we are currently running Creo Elements Direct, Version 20.4.   I see that PTC supports Creo on Frame (DaaS): https://fra.me/ for a while. I found this support article: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS44926?language=en&posno=1&q=ahv&source=search which points to: https://www.ptc.com/support/-/media/1BE085E184384EAE8A0E71BA791D9DFA.pdf?sc_lang=en As PTC supports Creo on Frame but Frame is running on AHV (Nutanix own hypervisor) only, my question is: is AHV supported?   Thanks a lot for your help in andvance! Can't renew my student license... I've tried reinstalling and running setup, which seemed to work.  I have the new license .dat file, it let me pick it and continue, but doesn't seem to recognize it.  When Creo 6.0.2.0 loads it tells me I'm not licensed and to renew.  When I try to enter my user name and password it says "User Not Verified"Any help out there? Hi to all, today I downloaded the .exe file, I intall it and all the process finished without problem. If I try to run the program, it doesn't work and appears the problem in photo attached. Could comeone help me? Thank you in advance.

I recently acquired a new work PC and I had to re-install Creo Elements 8.0 (free version)   On my old PC I did not have to use the Manual Activation, it would just load up straight away but for some reason that is no longer the case!   Now it does not find internet connection and when I then use the Manual Activation Key I get the following error message;   “The activation check for Modeling Express to run on this machine failed because of the following reason: The activation code you entered is invalid.”   I have copied and pasted several different codes but all come back with same error message!   Can you please help as I regularly use this software?   Rob

I do not expect a Linux version of Creo to plop out anytime soon just because I want one.   I only suggest that PTC arranges a place where we could at least communicate our wants and needs for Linux versions of software. Worst case it gets no attention, middle case PTC can quantify the desire for Linux software, best case we get it.    Me personally, there is nothing that ties me to Windows except Creo Parametric *). I use a MacBook for everything networked, and airgapped workstations for CAD and R&D. In my world, Windows is a liability in that it costs extra money, and the very least bugs me about on-line stuff that I have no interest

Hello,  i am trying to implement a .NET DLL compiled in MATLAB within an Addin-Module created with the .NET API Wizard in Visual Studio 2010. Hello, since a few days i can not get a licence for Direkt Express 8.0 Free. It had worked without problems before. The manual activation fails too with just an error message. A code is not generated. I have no idea wether the problem is on my computer or on the server site.   What can i do?        

Dal 20 maggio 2021 è impossibile attivare  Creo Elements direct Modelling express 6.0 (e anche il nuovo Creo Elements direct Modelling express 8.0) e pertanto è impossibile usare il programma. Sono 3 giorni che sto tentando di risolvere il problema ma, fino ad oggi, nessuna notizia in merito da parte di PTC Creo o dalla community. Gradirei sapere da PTC come risolvere il problema. Grazie

Hi, I use the free version of PTC Creo Elements Direct Modeling Express, and fail on getting activation key for offline mode. When I try to submit a request for a key, I get: "Fri May 21 03:59:42 EDT 2021 An error has occurred Please save the source of this page (File:Save As...) and email to webmaster@ptc.com Thank you for your help in resolving this matter. PTC Webmasters"   It has been like that for a few days now. Any idea how to solve it?

I request a activation key for modeling express 8.0 but when i log in with my data always this error massage appears. Does anybody have a solution for it ? When i log in with false data it gives me a key but it doesnt work 😄  

Creo express is unable to open again due to a proxy verification failure. Nice and all, but the offline verification code (as an cheap fix for the last time the proxy caused express to be down for everybody) cannot be requested due to more errors (see below). So the third problem occurred during me trying to post to this forum, I tried to request a new password. But this is also broken, meaning I created a new account to post my problem. I get that this is a free app, but gives a pretty **bleep** feeling PTC has his stuff not in control. Hello everyone,   I have done a big project in my university using PTC CREO ELEMENTS/DIRECT MODELING (version 19 or 20, don't remember exactly) and I saved the file in .pkg format. Now, my university does no longer have the license and the software, so I can not access the file. For my job search, this project is really important and I need to take the snapshots of the design to have it in my portfolio. Can someone with the license of this software please convert this file to .step format and send it to me so that I can open the file on my system and take snapshots of the design?   I really appreciate your help and this means a lot to me!   Thank you in advance.

Hello!   We have a small, but really irritating problem with our new Creo Modeling 20.1 installation - sometimes when we start with the program the tick in the Viewport settings for "Preselection Mode" is not there and must be manually activated. Any idea why this could be happening? Is there some kind of a keyboard button combination, which the engineers push unknowingly, which can cause that kind of behavior? Thanks in advance!

Does anyone have advice on how to move my individual CREO Elements Direct license to a new computer?  I'm retired and don't expect to use it to make money, so I'm not enthused about paying annual subscription fees.  I just want to be able to use my old version for personal projects without having to count on a 6-year-old computer.

Reference case Number :C15069137         .As you can see the CEDD versions show differently than the download side: (Please refer Capture.PNG) On the matrix of v.20.1 M020 is showing in download as v.20.1.2.  Are they the same thing? On the matrix of v.20.2.1.0, it is showing in download as 20-2-0-0.  Are they the same thing?     Can anyone please help to find out the discrepancies above?

Hello everyone ,   We use Creo 18.1 (M050( on Windows 7 and Windows 10 computers with 2 screens.We have a problem with W10 users.Indeed, when a Creo plan is active on the secondary screen, if you open another file (Word, Excel, Pdf, Internet, and even another Creo page), automatically this page will open under the active plan (background) .The only way to see that the new file is open is to go to the taskbar to see the application icon.The only way to display the new page on the screen is to shrink the Creo page. Namely that Creo has already been reinstalled, the driver of the graphics card is up to date (NVIDIA M4000). Add to that , I migrated some computers from W7 to W10.With W7 he did not have the problem, with W10 the problem appears. If you have any idea or if you have the solution :), I will be delighted.
