Vuforia Studio

Hi folks--   We are trying to add a feature that allows the user to tap a button and reset their spatial tracking. In other words, we want them to be able to release the current spatial target and acquire a new one. Imagine a user viewing an experience using a table as a spatial target, and then the user wants to turn around and show the experience on a different table in a different part of the room. We are hoping to avoid having to do a complete reload of the experience, we just want to let them get a new spatial tracking target.   I've tried setting the "tracked" property on the spatial target to "false", and I've also tried generating a "trackinglost" event on the spatial target. Neither approach worked. For now I'm using location.reload() to restart then entire experience, but that's still a heavier type of reset than what I'd like.   What I'd really like is a service on the spatial target to release or reset tracking, so the user can acquire a new spatial targ

Hi,   I follow the instructions in the "Getting Started Guide" for the installation on Windows. I reach step 6, the ThingWorx Studio window appears. I click Open. A blank page opens like this :   And nothing else is happening... What should I do?   Thanks

Hello   When you create a sequence from an illustration, the content recorded in the step occurs at the same time.I want to create a flash effect, then move the model and fade out. However, the above three effects occur simultaneously.In order to generate them sequentially, you need to divide or animate the steps for each effect. However, animations do not work in ThingWorx Studio.Also, when you step through each effect, ThingWorx Studio does not look good at showing you step-by-step through the buttons.   In other words, I hope that in the sequence phase, the effects or movements of the model do not happen at the same time but happen sequentially.   Any other good suggestions?   regards

The following css style is applied to the grid widget, but the button does not position well.   .pos {margin-top: 30%;height: 30ch;}   When fixing the position of a widget, is it common to specify a position with a grid widget and then include the widget in it?   Any other good suggestions?   regards

You can use the scope in ThingWorx Studio to modify the properties of a widget or the parameters of an application.   For example, to modify the value of a variable called value through js:$ scope.app.params.value = "";For a widget it looks like this:  $ scope.app.fn.triggerWidgetService ('popup-1', 'showpopup');  $ scope.view.wdg ['model-1'] ['sequence'] = "";   Where do I check for the app that I call after scope, or something like view, fn, wdg? I want to create thing-mark with image. how to use "my thingmarks" option in studio?

Hi,   we have our own TWX foundation server (academic edition).   Is it possible that our students can enter the URL of our own foundation server as they create a new Studio experience and publish it via our server?   We already tried to grant public access to the server (in the composer) with the documentation, but it didn't work out.   Thanks Clemens

Hi folks--   We have a strange situation. We created and published a test experience, then deleted the project without unpublishing. We were able to unpublish via REST DELETE call. However, since the experience used a spatial target, it was added to the experience Library, and the REST DELETE did not remove it from the Library list. So, when I point my Thingworx View to the ES, the library still shows the deleted experience. If I select that experience, I get a "Whoops! 404 Not found" error.   How can I get the Library listing to update so it removes the deleted experience from its list?   --Clay

  Is there a way to have paragraphs in the label text? (eyewear project)   Or do I have to use a new label for each line of text?   Thanks

How does ThingWorx Studio handle data management?As I understand it, ThingWorx Studio seems to store 3D CAD data locally and manage Thing Data and Thing Mark data in the cloud.Is that correct?   And if you have documents or schematics about ThingWorx Studio's data management, please share. Hi,   I cannot bind a click event of a label to the visibility of another label (eyewear project).   Same with 3d images - why?   Is there a way to do this with json? If yes, can someone help me with the syntax? I'm not very familiar with coding.   Version: 8.2.2.3099   Thanks, DF  

HelloThingWorx Studio seems to use the pvz file as a resource.ThingWorx Studio seems to need a pvz file to show animation. Can you get other stl files or other animations (created in 3d max or Maya) in ThingWorx Studio?Do you have any other good ideas? thank

Hi,I want to show some labels which on clicking will show other labels. That means if there are two labels Label1 and Label2 then on clicking on Label1, Label2 will be visible. I have written a service which will update a Thing Property value to True/False based on the click. I have bind the Label1 click property to this service. Also the Thing property value is bind to the Label2.But this is not working. Can anyone please tell me some way to achieve the task?Thank you...Regards,Dipika

Hello The 3d label is static.Is there a way to set the 3d label to see the camera even if the camera rotates?Please let me know.   thank

Hi,   the message "server starting up - getting ready" is displayed for over 30 minutes. Running the newest version. This happens just on some devices (laptop) but not on the desktop.   Also it states that TWX cannot create the log file - is this the problem?   Thanks

As part of the Thingworx-Studio Pilot program istallation, i installed CreoIllustrate 3.1 based on the "StudioGettingStarted_Trial" description.Installation was successfull. On the Creo Illustrate Startup screen i define the license file path and press "Start"... but the Startup screen appears again.I'm not able to Start the application.any ideas?

Can anyone at PTC confirm if the Experience Service is down at the moment? I cannot view or publish. If the Service is down, when is it likely to return to operation?   Brian

Hi,I am Trying to publish an AR experience but i am asked to provide username and password, i am assuming that these are my PTC account crediantials, but it seems not to succeed. !it only keeps asking for them again and again. Ciao a tutti sto eseguendo l'esercitazione per ruotare un ettichetta con un bottone associandogli la funzione rotazione tramite javascript ho seguito la guida passo passo ma l'etichetta non ruota qualcono sa dirmi il linguaggio corretto da scrivere su home.js e nell'evento js da associare all'etichetta? grazie Matteo
