I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.0 and Datecode with CPS M030-CPS06I was able to check-out an older revision of A.2 and check in as A.3, when the component was already in B.2.Check-out of an older revision should not happen,how to prevent it?

Looking for thoughts on this. We have cases where multiple change tasks can be used to do a semi-formal pre-review before signoff. Are there any downsizes to listing the same items multiple times on different change tasks under the same CN? I can see dispositions could be duplicative. There is convenience for having the assignee/reviewer see directly the items of concern. I can also see cases where code operating at the CN workflow level (like set state of changeables) would have to deal with duplicates in the set. Anything else that would be of concern?

When i have installed windchill initially, I was able to open windchill and work on UI but after  i installed second windchill instance  i am not able start Windchill. When i try to import the jspf file, windchill is throwing an error message as attached in the screenshot. Is there any solution to remove/fix this error? @HelesicPetr

Hi; I would like to pick of the PLM guru's brain. For nearly 2 decades, I have implemented PLM processes and systems and everytime not only the system offer the capability to revise parts but it was quite logical that parts have revisions. Recently I came across this https://www.buyplm.com/plm-good-practice/plm-software-part-revision-form-fit-function.aspx They claim that parts must not have revisions What do you all think about that? Thanks   

I'm having a problem with Viewables. When I save my checked out files, I can see that Windchill is creating Viewables them in the Workspace but when I check them in they don't always show in Commonspace. I'd say that lately I'm getting only about 10% of the Viewables appear in Commonspace. Has anyone else experienced this problem before? Do you have a fix if you did?

I created a part in design view, after setting it to released state I used new view version and the team template mentioned in the OIR is not copied.I also did do BOM transformation in MAPSB even then team template is not copied.Did anyone face similar Issue? I'm trying to shrink the primary file for my Windchill database.  When I try, it has taken over a day to try to go form 25GB to 13GB.  I think that the culprit might be the entryNumber_seq table.  It has the largest record count and through a query, it is what the shrink stays on the longest.  It is the largest table record wise with 77 million rows.  Does anyone know what it is really for?  It has only two columns and one is just an 'x'. Can it be truncated?

Is there a way to programmatically complete missing occurrences based on the BOM structure? I have legacy data where the occurrences have not been maintained. How to complete these?

Hi Communuty!I can reflect the change made in the wtpart data to the cad data by selecting the "publish to cad" option when checking in. When I want to check more than one wtpart data in the advance search section of this method, that option does not appear. How can I do this?If it is impossible to bring the "publish to cad" option on the check-in screen, can I bring the "Publish to cad" button in the actions menu on the details page to the advance searc actions menu?
