PDMLink 12.0.1.2 Using Creo 4 M140 I turned the Windchill Performance Advisor on 2 days ago.  Since then I have received several reports saying a user cannot set the location of their CAD files when trying to check in.  They get the spinning circle.   I even tried it as org admin and get the same thing. That isn't the only thing affected.  I get the same thing when going to the Event Management. When opening the Event Management through Creo is when it happens which used IE as its internal browser by default.  Opening a separate IE browser and going into the EM does not produce the issue. I changed Creo to use the Chromium browser and there is no more issue. However, we had to switch the internal browser in this version of Windchill about a month ago because Creo wasn't working and it caused other problems.  That original problem cleared up so we switched back to IE.  Chromium for the internal browser is a no-go for us. Does a newer version of Creo

Hi,One of the constructors has a problem with rename part. He has the same privileges and is in the same groups/roles but rename option is greyed out. Where did we suppose to look to fix it? It is urgent.

Hello, in our environment (windchill 11.0 m030) we have different View versions of our WTParts (Design, Manufacturing, SpareParts, and so on...) We're wondering if it's possible to restrict access to specific views for certain users/groupsie. Our technical designers would like to be able to see only the Design view and not be bothered with the other ones, including avoiding having those listed when they perform a search Any ideas?

One of our clients moved from Essentials to PDMLink and wants to create WTParts for all existing CAD Documents.Can someone help me set up an XML file for all CAD Docs in DB? Hello guys, hope you are fine!!I have a Windchill 11.0 m010 installation and our users are working with AutoCAD 2018 and the Workgroup manager. We have a 3D AutoCad file, but when it is publish the viewable is just a 2D view of the current AutoCAD view at the moment of publication. Any of you know if is possible to publish an AutoCAD 3D file and have all the advantages so the users could have a quick viewable where they can rotate the model inside Windchill and if necesary open it on Creo View? Thanks in advance to all of you who read this post.Best Luis.

I think I found a work around. In the distribution target setup there is a setting call "Publish only Incremental changes for a modified assembly when publishing a BOM". Changing this to "no" shifts the components to added only but had the effect of displaying all the substitutes.  You have to give up the incremental but in my case, we were deleting the BOM lines and re-adding each time. Do you think there are downsides to using this setting I might not be seeing?

We have the case where a vertical pdf (portrait) is always printed horizontal (landscape). We have the printer settings to automatically rotate and scale but this does not help. With a previous version of Creo View Lite this did not happen, only with Creo View Lite 8.1.I cleared cache but this does not help.Only when the user looks at the orientation and set this properly, then the print is okay.He uses the clipboard to print long drawing batches and so it is extra work to always check and set this.

We are upgrading our windchill 11.2 to 12.0.2.5, find some confusion by using windchill 11.2 DS which is using Java 8 to support Windchill 12x. To all,   I am looking to see if there is a association or reference selection in WindChill that will do what I am describing here. We are currently running Creo4, with WindChill 10.2 M030.   Currently, to get a drawing to be "Referenced By" in WindChill, we will add ALL of the instances from a family table to the drawing, so all models are on the drawing. Therefore, this gets created automatically upon check-in. This is great, but when we have large assemblies, 30-40 components in the BOM's, and possibly over 50 instances (or more) in the assembly family table, it takes time to add all these models. It also makes it longer to open the drawing, as it looks to regenerate all the models added to the drawing upon retrieval. Most of the time, we do not even have views for all of the instances, we just add them for the reference by to be built.   So if someone knows what we need to change or set, so we do not need all models added to the drawing, it would be greatly appreciat

Hello,one of our clients wants to update from Windchill PDMLink 11.1 M010 to M020 because they want to start using Creo 8. When they run PSI Solution Installer 11.1 M020, the Install Maintenance Release option is grayed out. What files they should download from PTC Software Download to be able to install M020 on M010 CPS08?

Hello, We are still getting started with WC in our organization.  We currently manufacturing machines that are sold with a machine specific serial number.  I would like to have a centralized location to hold all the documents that pertain to that machine. For example, manufacturing has build information and the aftermarket has warranty registration documents.   I was thinking of creating a WT part for the model and serial #.  Within the WT part we could attach the documents for this machine to include warranty history, modifications etc.   Any input from the user group would be appreciated.

Although Modelcheck is a Creo functionality I'm asking about the Windchill side of things to get shape indexing going. About Configuring Creo Modelcheck and PTC Windchill for Shape Indexing lists out mass property parameters and Windchill global attributes. Does that mean that both the mass property parameters and the Windchill global attributes both need to be created in Attribute Management ? Or are the mass property parameters created in Creo automatically once model check is turned on and they just need to be linked to the Windchill attributes?
