I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.0.2We are in process of upgrading our exsiting windchill enviorment ot version 12.1.2.0 , the OOTB Windchill 12.1 Ran successfully . later we performed below steps.1. Import Source DB2. "Run the DB scripts to fix the , Repository and file vault ,,Host names"3. Import Source DS in Windchill 12.1 OpenDJ4. "Compare and merge the site.xconf file from source to Target"5. "Compare Rbinfo files on source and target and Add the additional entries"6. "Move the customizations From source to target"7 "Running the AddColumns Tool"post above we Ran Upgrademanager from winchill shell. but it is throwing message windchill databse tables is allready upgrade . no action to be taken.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 13.0 and Datecode with CPS 13.0.2.7Is is possible to have a Deliverable with multiple linked Plan Activities, in a Product container, have its % Complete automatically updated as the completion of activities is updated?It seems like you can only have the Deliverable % Complete auto-update if you have only one linked Activity and the Plan has the " Link deliverables with project activities" checked when you create the Plan, but then you can only link one activity. Here's an example of my use-case:I have a WBS structure organized by product function. Each function may have a "Release Drawings" activity, for example. I'd like to create a deliverable that consolidates all "Release Drawings" activities and have it's % Complete reflect the % Complete of all linked activities.

We are upgrading from Windchill 12.0 to Windchill 13.0 on the test server, and I see the license count on the Production server has doubled compared to the previous license count once done with the Test upgrade. We are using local LDAP and not enterprise LDAP is that the issue or any other reason?

We need access control based on "View" e.g. Manufacturing view should be accessible only to a role "Manufacturing engineer" Does Windchill 10.1 supports it ? If not, is it included in Windchill product roadmap in future ?We have different Manufacturing Plants, for these we need to create different Manufacting views for released eBOM.In order to control access for Design and Manufacturing views we are creating different roles for Design engineer and Manufacturing Engineer.Can we have access coontrols based on the view of the BOM?

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: I want to list all (promotion) processes that are currently runningDescription: Hi All I have a small issue that i don't understandI below a part of the process tab of a promotion request. As you can see the process is still running. But when i lookup the same process is don't result in any processes.I'm sure the process isn't finished. because for example in the promotion request there is a model with where the previous released version was B.2. It is now revised and the current released  version should become C.4. when the promotion process is over the B.2 should get the state 'replaced'. And (at least )not all of the objects has changed.The reason i ask this is that i want all still running processes (i know there are more, but i don't want to check every promotion / change request etc manually)Am i doing something wrong? OR is it possible that because of a (automatic)restart the process is corrupted? OR is it something else?&nbs

Version: Windchill 13.0   Use Case: Not sure if it's a problem between the keyboard and the seat, but my Windchill JavaDoc isn't showing the wt.vc.wip.WorkInProgressService class. Description: I'm working on some customization and using the wt.vc.wip package. The javadoc (Windchill 13.0.2) isn't showing the WorkInProgressService class page.  There's no scroll bar and it shows a random (but repeatable) few methods in what looks like the middle of a page.    I tried downloading the javadoc from PTC's website too and it behaves the same. Is this a "me" problem?   

I’m trying to download and install the 30-day free trial of PTC Windchill Risk and Reliability (formerly Windchill Quality Solutions), but I’m encountering an issue when accessing the trial link. When I click on the download link, I receive the following message:“Document Not Found — The web page, PTC Windchill Quality Solutions Evaluation, was retired on September 30, 2025.” Could someone from the PTC team or community please assist with obtaining access to the 30-day trial?My company is evaluating this software for potential purchase and would like to test its functionality before moving forward.

Hello everyone, I`m working with a lot of pipe spools on my company and we are migrating models from SE to CREO and starting working with all PTC programs (CREO and WIndchill). My question/issue is, when creating .asm of pipe spools (with spec driven or with non spec driven) I had all my structture correctly arranged on Windchill with all my WT parts for each part, but I have no clear info for the line stocks of the pipes and their quantities of length...Is there an option to include the line stock (name) in the Windchill structure, like having a WT part associated to a Line stock?Also, how do you manage that? You associate the parameters of the CAD pipes like line stock and length to attributes to the WT parts and have the info there to supply chain to bought the quantity for each part? Is there an automatic way to sum up the quantities for same line stock in a same .asm in the Windchill structure? Thanks in advance

Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: I want to identify when a document in Windchill is created using the Insert New option and store that information in an attribute. Later, when a usage link is created for that document, it should detect this attribute and update some related values automatically. Basically, I want to differentiate between Insert New and Insert Existing actions for documents.Description: I am trying to capture the event when a document is created using the Insert New action inside the structure tab.However, Windchill doesn’t provide a direct event to distinguish between Insert New and Insert Existing actions.So, how can I achieve this: when a user creates a document using Insert New, attributes such as Customer Number, Project Number, etc. (which exist in both the parent and child) should automatically get updated from the parent.If the document is created using Insert Existing, the attribute values should not be updated.
