When I import from a 10.1 into another 10.1 system ( we tried and the same issue for 11.0 to 11.0) I get the below error. I would just like to know what does this error refer to and does anyone have a solution to this?     Nested exception is: wt.util.WTException: RepresentableObjectRef absent for Representation

Has anyone used the AutoCAD workgroup manager to interface between Windchill and AutoCAD? We do not currently have the AutoCAD workgroup manager here, but exploring the option to see if we need it.   Currently I can export a .dwg from CREO Parametric/Windchill  and open in AutoCAD; however, I can only bring the .dwg in as a doc object instead of a drawing (.drw). Not sure if the issue lies in not having a AutoCAD workgroup manager or something I am doing wrong.   Thanks!

Hello,I need a way to retrieve an existing WTDocument given an organization, a product, folder path and document name, using windchill API (Java code, no InfoEngine tasks), assuming there is only one document with that name in the folder (but could be more in different locations). Could anyone give me a hand? Thank you!

I am working on a custom action where the user can select one or more EPM Documents and start the action.  My implementation is currently using the request parameter to grab the oid’s/soid’s of the selected objects however it only works when the user selects 8 or less items.  Is there another way to get the list of all the selected item rows at the time the custom action is selected?  If so, can you provide some guidance?  Current method used in popup JSP ids = request.getParameterValues("soid") or id = request.getParameter("oid")   Thanks, Mark Bohannon Lenovo

Hello All,   I am trying to set up Thingworx Navigate with a Composite Resource Provider. I want to show additional non-windchill attributes in the 'View Part Structure App' along with windchill attributes.   I followed the steps mentioned in 'Navigate Install and Config Guide'. However I am stuck at the last step.   The guide mentions that we have to make the 'Use Composite Provider' radio button visible on the 'PartStructureTailoringContainedMashup' in order to view additional data.   But I am not able to edit the mashup. Have I missed some step? or is there any other way to achieve this?   I would really appreciate any help and guidance. Thanks.   Regards, Madhumita

DOES ANYONE KNOWS QUERY TO CHECK LAST LOGIN OF A USER(INACTIVE).

I have two users that I added to a group to be able to be in the approval process of the CNs.  I added that group to the Change Task activity process.  However, they cannot see CNs at all or their tasks.  Rights for the task and notice are based on Teams it looks like in the ACL.   I have two questions. How do I give users the right to see CNs at other than closed? How do I give this group rights to approve the CN Tasks they have been assigned?   Thank you, Brian

Dear all,In my Windchill 11.0 environment i have a publishrule who creates additional file if it is a released drawing.that works for "set state" and "promotion request" with the <publish on="unknown-source"I have tried to do the same in an older 10.1 environment.. (I know it's not supported anymore.. and no, i can not update to a newer release now :-))unfortunately rules are not evaluated for promotion requests. but it works fine for set state.Does anyone know this behavior?is <publish on="unknown-source" in 10.1 not the same as in 11.0?Best regards to allDaniel

I installed Windchill 11.0 on a test system and loaded base data. The system starts and I can login. However, if I shutdown Windchill or log off that computer, Windchill will not start again. We have migrated several PLM Systems data into Windchill in the last few years. For all of these, we have got the data extracted into staging database, converted the data using SQL scripts and Java (custom code), generated the CSV Files and loaded into Windchill using Load From File and custom utilities.   I wanted to reach out to the community to find out if others have used ETL (ex: Talend/Informatica) or other tools  (other than the Windchill Bulk Migrator) for the data mapping and conversion and learn how those tools helped the migration efforts.

How do I add objects to a workspace without using a config spec filter?   Say I search for objects last modified in a very narrow date range and want to add those exact versions to a workspace.  They may be the latest or they may not be.  Choosing the "Latest" filter doesn't collect the correct versions and the "As Stored" filter isn't listed as a choice.  What is the right way to add the exact versions of the objects returned from a search to a workspace?  Thanks.

Dear All, I am trying to perform windchill cloning but I am having problem with method server and server manager getting crashed.  Steps I performed: 1. Datapump of oracle database. ->expdp 2. Exported LDIF file and took backup of WindchillDS.  3. Copied HTTPServer, Windchill folder from host system 4. Setup a server with same host and domain name. Installed Oracle with same SID and credentials as host system. Run the PSI with standalone components where I installed only WCDS, Java, OCU. Then imported dump file of oracle using impdp. Imported ldif and restored using WindchillDS backup.    Changed host property in db.properties file with host name and java.server.rmi.hostname in wt.properties file.  Since in host machine filevault was setup I changed filevault property to false instead of true.    After launching windchill shell and starting windchill, server manager gets crashed sometime leaving behind background method server running. I have been getting an error every time Windows 10 tried to update for the past month. I found this handy tip on a random forum and when I uninstalled Windchill Workgroup Manager and re-ran the update and now it works! If you're seeing this same error, you should try it also.

When configuring the Windchill System with multiple Method and Background Method Servers, after the response from SAP comes, the Publishing Status of the Distribution Target is empty.   Strangely this happens only when the user that initiates this is part of a group, and not when the user is added directly under the ESI Engineer and Members Roles.

My requirement is to use a webject to create windchill objects by means of thingworx service. It'll be helpful if there are any practical examples available. I'm new to windchill and thingworx.

Hello, Is there an option or a way to register a Windchill server for launching Creo 4.0 (compatible with SSO functionality) ? Actually, we have scripts that copy “srv_mgr_db3.fldx” files to help our users to register to PDMLink server without the hassle of entering the url address. These scripts allow keyusers to launch on dev platforms also. PTC hotline says fldx files are not supported with SSO (Single Sign On) and Creo 4.0.   Do you know if there is a config option or other methodology to connect to Windchill server after launching Creo 4.0 with SSO functionality? We have some a scenario where we have some wire that we modeled as a single part; however, the BOM on the drawing we want it to say 500mm.  If I do the Auto-Associate as OWNER, it will come in as QTY.1.  Will the other selections (Content/Image/Contributing Content/Contributing Image) allow for the part associated to be populated in the BOm, but allow me to overwrite the Quantity for the Windchill Part (Gear part)?Thanks!
