Windchill

I’m trying to export a filtered BOM to xls for end item using Multi-Level BOM report. To do so I want to use Service Effectivity filter – but the Effectivity Type pulldown is not populating. Should I not be able to select Serial? I’m after attached – but filtered by code (wmh-12342).

I am trying to call a third party software hosted webservice from Windchill. I have generated stub java files using axis2. Now I would like to deploy these java files by compiling using windchill shell in order to write client code. Where should I place axis2 jars in windchill to compile from windchill shell? Is there any other mechanism to call webservices hosted by third party systems?

We've been exploring ways of manipulating some CAD Data.  Looking at bringing into a rehosted non-production Windchill system, doing the manipulation, then transfering to production - assuming that we can use Packages for the transfer.Experimented quite a bit with this and did not have any success with CAD data.  Created attached file to document on a tech support case.  Today tech support came back with "I looked into the case details found that you are not able to create package with CAD document."Can't believe this - can it be true that you cannot include CAD data in a Package?  Looking to talk w/anyone who is using / has used Windchill Packages with CAD data.  Would welcome any input from PTC.thanks in advance

We are starting to load larger Creo models and assemblies into PDMLink, and were wondering what most do or best practices when it comes to publishing. We are looking to move the publishing to after hours, but a problem we are seeing are the representations being created. A few of the models are rapidly changing(iterations over 100), and each time they are checked out/in, the entire model is published and not just the few changes. We get stacked publishing jobs that take a couple of hours each and the representations are filling up the file vaults. Just wondering if there are properties we can set cut down on the representations being produced and maybe speeding up the publish jobs. Many thanks for any info!

I am installing Windchill11.0. and all of the packages are latest version from PTC software download web site. when  attempting to copy service pack to the staging folder, it says "Invalid CD selected. Please select another CD". And all of the others copy correctly. the service pack I download is “PTC Windchill 11.0 Service Pack - Critical Patch Sets Bundles M020 =>> MED-61006-CD-110_M020_M020-CPS04-Bundle.”  any ideas? 

We would like to configure Windchill to block creo files that have model check errors.Web suggests that the settings need to be changed in the Type and Attribute Management utility at Site level.Can this be done at Product level?

Please help me understand why my Creo drawings are not appearing the same as my drawing representation in Creo View. I have multiple drawings of parts and assemblies that are experiencing this issue. Here are the descriptions of the Creo View versions that are messed up: The first has removed all of the dimensions. The second and third, which are assemblies, have added rogue BOM balloons. In one drawing, the BOM balloon is linked to an item, but does not appear on the Creo side. In the other, the balloon appears to be unrelated to anything and has a "..." inside. The fourth drawing has removed dimensions and even hole features from the creo part. I don't think that this is a layer issue or an issue even within Creo, but the rogue balloon linked to an item makes me suspicious. I actually think that it is a representations/annotations issue in Windchill. From the drawing information window, I found Representations/Annotations under the content tab.
