I have a set of WTParts whose serial number effectivity value has been entered wrong. I want to delete them using API.What is the API to access the serial number effectivities associated with WTPart?I know that I can delete the serial numbers using the following API: PersistenceHelper.manager.delete((ProductSerialNumberEffectivity) serial);But I am having trouble getting the ProductSerialNumberEffectivity for a particular WTPart.Please help.Thanks in advance

Could someone please either upload or give a link to their Windchill Rehost Utility 3 or whichever is the current release?Trying to rehost from one machine to another.We have PDM Essentials and the documentation calls out to go login and go to the downloads page but it doesn't exist there. Even had a help ticket open for 2 weeks but they were never able to help.

I am new to CREO and Windchill.We are running CREO 3.0 M090 and Windchill 11.0.Is there a setting in Windchill 11.0 that deletes all previous versions of a part once that part, Assembly or Drawing is release?

I'm working on another update to our Change Management workflows. In this new version I end up with a bunch of sub-types of WTChangeActivity2.One in particular is fairly simple. On that I'm guessing that if I set it up this way I can give these two principals the access needed (Modify, etc.) while all other Roles get only Read & Download:Before I go too far down that rabbit hole, I want to confirm that everyone listed as Principal get the expanded permissions, even when there are multiple Roles chosen as Principal. After all, nobody likes messing with this cumbersome interface for a few hours only to have to delete and start over because of an unforeseen problem.

Hello everyone,I have a need to be able to check in PDMLink if a certain set of Products (identified by product numbers and/or Product codes) that are made available in a file (excel) exist in PDMLink or not (in a certain state).We know that we have a clear mismatch in what all data has been uploaded in our system.We need to figure out exactly what all Products are missing in the system that should have been there.So, we have retrieved an excel from our ERP system consisting of all Product numbers and Product codes (These are defined as Global attributes on EPMDocument type in Windchill)It is a huge list of around 10000 products in that excel.What I am looking for is a way to be able to check whether a certain Product (identified by Product no/Product code) has an equivalent EPMDocument (in Released state) in Windchill.If any of you have encountered similar issues, I would appreciate it how you managed to handle this.Thanking in advance and looking forward to some inputs.

Vorab, wir arbeiten mit Creo Direct Modeling und dem Windchill Workgroupmanager 10.2 M030-CPS18 auf dem Client und serverseitig mit CPS22.Ist es in PTC Windchill 10.2 als Admin möglich irgendwie an die Daten eines Users in seinem persönlichen Workspace zu kommen um diese Einzuchecken?Kurze Beschreibung des Falles: Ein User ist erkrankt und hat neu angelegte Daten in seinem persönlichen Workspace, diese sind zwar in den Commonspace hochgeladen und für mich als Admin ersichtlich, aber nicht eingecheckt. Nun sollte ich die Daten irgendwie "frei" bekommen, dass ein anderer User diese weiterbearbeiten kann. Neuanlage geht nicht, der Artikel ist bereits im System vorhanden und beim Einchecken bemerkt das System, dass im Commonspace eines Users Modell und Zeichnung bereits vorhanden sind, und bringt eine Fehlermeldung. Help! I need an article that helps me to find what I want to find in Windchill faster.  For example:  I want to find all parts that have keyword "Nut".  I don't want to see all the models I just want to see the various drawings so that I can find the right size I need.  However, windchill pulls up all 1500 models and exceeds the table limit and I cannot find what I need.Also, how can I make search more powerful? Hi All,I am trying to add a checkbox "Create AML Part" in the create new part wizard (as shown in the image)I have also created an additional wizard step which should appear after this checkbox gets ticked. The functionality is similar to the working of "Create CAD Document" checkbox. When I click on the checkbox, I want the "Create New AML" step to appear and rendered when I click on the Next button. I can't get Creo View to work in the Chrome browser after following PTC instruction on their support website. I'm on Windchill 10.2 m03 and CreoView 3.0, any help on work arounds.Also does anyone know how to have shrinkwrap parts show up in Creo View.

I was asked to grant a read-only access to contents in a single folder (and its sub-folders), within a product context to which this particular user does usually have access (they're not part of any team that has access to this product context).Is that feasible?  And if so, how do I go about doing this?I tried to use the "manage security" function and have granted "Read" access to this user / group, but now I don't know how they can navigate to this folder and add objects to their workspace etc...  - in other words, the product context does not show up in their list of places to browse...

I have 2 users user1 and user2 who have access to doc1.I have denied access to user1 by applying Deny acl on doc1;but when I use user2 and send the document to user1 for review/approve;user1 has access to this document from his task page.How do I prevent user1 from getting access to this doc at all.

How to export a document (WTDocument) structure, including content and attachments. The OOTB export from the document information page provides a zip with xml and content (including attachments) for the primary document but NOT it's children. Is there a way to expand this to include children and their attachments?
