Windchill Navigate

Hi ThingWorx Navigate Team,   Need your assistance...!!!   Currently have the PTC ThingWorx Lab files installed on my machine & trying to launch the Apache Tomcat/7.0.52 Home Page in order to navigate & click Manage Apps tab. But, unfortunately the system does not do anything after the following the Installation Prerequisites Guide.  (Not able to proceed beyond step 16 - Operating System - Windows).   Please find the attachment for your reference. I'd like to know this myself, i'm unable to reallocate the number of licenses for Navigate because our IT admin created several license files using all licenses available for Thingworx for our dev and test servers instead of just allocating a couple for the test team.

We have an requirement to add Viewables for Documents attachments. And add the list view for the Search page. Has anyone tried to modify the OOTB mashup? They used to be editable now they are read only. I tried editing the extension properties however no luck so far.   thanks, Preeti

Reaching out to Navigate community 🙂 We are rolling out Thingworx Navigate app which will be used by pretty larger user base. We need to have some folks to go into Thingworx platform doing very specific tasks like managing users and user groups.    What is the best practices for such admin group for Thingworx Platform. I do not see any out of the box group where we can be leveraged.   thanks, Preeti

Hi All In the out-of-the-box apps, the users' recent parts are displayed for quick access. You get the most recent version of the part, except .. When the part has been revised in Windchill, the list of recent parts in Navigate does not get you the revised part. You could call this a bug .. In Windchill you get a warning in a red label at the top left. Is there an easy fix for this? One way is to repeat the search when the recent part is clicked. thanks Rick

I tried to export and import extensions from thingworx UI but on the target, I am unable to see the extensions in the extensions list. I have attached the procedure document that I followed to perform this activity. Can somebody look into it, if possible please share the article on how to export and import the extensions?

Hi,   I am looking for advice/direction on best practices when it comes to creating API Mappings and Services for custom mashups.  For example, is it best to create these on the ptc-windchill-OData- connector or somewhere else.  If created on ptc-windchill-OData-connector, what are the best practices in regards to import/export especially when moving from one version to another (e.g., 8.5.3 to 9.0)?   Any advice/guidance would be appreciated.   Thanks,   Roy

Hello, i have  drop down list which has validation on it to be visible or not , when drop down has been hidden ,i want to make place of it  not to be  empty and filled with another widget like label, and when it is visible , label shifts to bottom of drop down it is available in Thingworx ? how can  i achieve this?

Hi admins Something is wrong in TWX. Here is the bottom left of the Composer: "Waiting for available socket"   I wanted to post a screenshot, but it seems I am no longer able to.   This looked like a bug, but no: actually this is a user error. I have another tab showing the TWX Runtime, and it currently has the login dialog up waiting for my password. When I login correctly in that tab, then my Composer works fine.   So this is not a bug, but it is a usability issue. Rick

We are seeing issues with upgrade of an 8.5 Thingworx Navigate app to Thingworx NAvigate 9.  Lack of support to Microsoft Edge Legacy and IE is little frustrating. Lot of shop floor users are still using old browsers.  Is there any workaround to show the app for legacy browser?
