Hello, We are using PTC Integrity 11.0.0.506, API Version 4.16.506 We have a .mdl MATLAB Simulink file which appears to be an ASCII text file https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/46400-how-to-view-mdl-files However when a check-in is attempted, the following message box appears: (please see the attached file) The working file Strategy.mdl exceeds the size limit for storing revisions by deltawithin an archive. In order for this check in to proceeed, the archive must be converted to store references to completecontents of each revision The check in will be cancelled if the conversion is not allowed to occur. Do you want to automatically convert the archive into store-by-reference format prior to the check in ? Yes - Yes to All - No - No to All - Cancel
Hi all The main project (or parent project) I use have my application and also couple of sub-projects that is delivered externally. The sub-projects can have the folders, source files (mainly the .h, and I use the libraries from them) changes for each release, i.e. a folder can be renamed, removed similarly header files can be removed, renamed or new header files can be added. Now I create a new sub-project whenever I get a new delivery, so I have to always link the new sub-project to the parent project. Is it possible to have one sub-project with a check-point, and the new delivery can be checked-in on top of the old check point, but just have the files and folders only based on the new delivery ? By doing this I don't have to create a new sub-projects every time and also the linking. Thanks, nkm2018
In my workflow, I use Python scripts to construct and execute Integrity CLI commands, utilising the Python subprocess module. This works well, but parsing the output from the CLI commands is tricky and not particularly robust. I have recently been made aware of mksAPIViewer.exe I have started experimenting with this approach of prepending mksapiviewer --iplocal --xml To the start of my CLI commands, for example; mksapiviewer --iplocal --xml im viewissue --hostname=<host> --port=<port> <item ID> This returns me the output, but in XML format. This is much easier to process. I am keen to understand why this seems to be quite hidden away in Integrity? It appears to be an improvement on the standard CLI output. Should I be using it, or is there some better approach which I have not discovered? Many thanks, Will
I would like to copy multiple ALM_Tasks using the Integrity CLI, with a single batch file. This seems straightforward using im copyissue --type=ALM_Task <ID> However, I would like to newly copied items to be associated with a different Change Request, and have a slightly different summary. Experimenting with the commands, it seems that im copyissue --type=ALM_Task --field=ALM_Work Item For=<New CR> --field=Summary=<New Summary> <ID> should work. However, other fields are not copied, such as the named reviewer or the planned effort. I can see there are options in the CLI help such as --copyFields, --copyFieldsList, --addFieldValues which I have tried to test out, but I can't seem to get the behavior I want. Is there a straightforward way to simply copy an item, as is, with ALL the current fields? Once I have done this, I could then edit the fields I want as a second command if necessary. thanks
Hello all, just as a heads up: with the installation of Integrity Lifecycle Manager 11.1 CPS03 the perspectives are no longer (fully) working. - A user cannot save a perspective anymore (file is created but empty and it cannot be selected anymore) - Perspective saved before installing the CPS03 are still available - Perspectives still can be shared via e-mail We've already reported the issue to PTC TS and are currently waiting on a response from R&D when a fix can be expected.
Looking for a JavaScript coding example that makes Integrity Web Service calls. I wrote a code (Attached) but am not able to update value in Integrity. How to exclude multiple files with extension from synchronizing the sandbox. Version : Integrity 11 Tried in GUI like "Member with name" using ! *.c|*.h ,but not working
Hello, I have a problem about images and tables don't fit in my export model. For example in Integrity, the image width is 650 pixels but in my export template model it show up 6.5" instead of 6.77". Also its same with lower pixels. For example, when image width is 610 pixels, it is exported to my export template model as 6.5" instead of 6.35". I couldn't find where can i change it. Is it due to my export template model or should i adjust in integrity? Simply I just wanted to any image which I add into integrity should fit in my export model and shouldn't exceed word page limits. Thanks.
Hey there, i'm using PTC Integrity at my firm. We have there an Excelfile, which we can Transfer with a perl script to our SQL Database. In Integrity itself, there is a Number for a Member Revision. I can see this Revision Number, when i type echo %MKSSI_REVISION1% in the commandline. Now i tried to write this in perl, but it's really hard for me. I must say perl, that the script should look for the Excelfile Database.xlsx in the path C:\Integrity_Sandbox\Database\Database.xlsx, then read the Member Revision Number of this, and write this Number to my SQL Database. Does anyone has some ideas, how i can manage this? Thanks for your help
Hi all, just this morning I received my daily "PTC Technical Support eNews & Alerts" newsletter and wih some excitement I saw this: Software Updates Integrity Lifecycle Manager 12.0 Datecode Description F000 Integrity Lifecycle Manager 12.0 Server Installers F000 Integrity Lifecycle Manager 12.0 Media F000 Integrity Lifecycle Manager 12.0 Features F000 Integrity Lifecycle Manager 12.0 Documentation F000 Integrity Lifecycle Manager 12.0 Database Utilities F000 Integrity Lifecycle Manager 12.0 Client Installers F000 Integrity Lifecycle Manager 12.0 Agent Installers The only problem is, that all the link in that mail are dead-ends and the PTC Download-Pages show no 12.0 content. Has anybody had more luck?
Hi, I would like to change the field 'state' to a value that the workflow contains over api. The workflow consists of Unspecified, Active, Retired. Every edge has 'everyone' permission. The type is Test Step The command is: im editissue --fields=State=Retired The error message is: Could not save modified item 325885: The following fields may not be edited [ State ] Do you have any clue to solve the problem?
I have a rule based trigger that resets a field on a defined rule. How do I disable the trigger without reconfiguring the trigger type or even deleting it?
I have made a rule of item editibility. But I want to show my custom error. Is it possible?
We need a possibility to set default attribute values during Import depending on (ReqIF)attribute conditions. Especially a test for unspecified Attributes is required.
We need a possibility to compare the ReqIF-Document and the ILM-Document before Import (preview of changes thru Import).
We need a possibility to convert datatypes RichContent and Enumeration to String during Import.
We need a possibility to export a document partially depending on attibute values in the exporting document (e.g. Information Security)
Hi, I am trying to create a RTM trace matrix template from Integrity, using the script (Attachment RTM_TEMPLATE.jpg). The problem is the "Testing Strategy" column cell has imported with table and I am not able to retrieve the single cell value from the table. If I use the <%{Testing Strategy}%>, the whole table gets dumped. Is there a way I can isolate and extract only the cell values from the table.? Thanks Nanda

Hello, We are working with PTC Integrity 10.9 My colleagues working with requirement documents needs a way to "freeze" the ID column while working in Document View. There are several columns in that view and while scrolling right and then down or up, they loose track of the IDs on which they are working. This action would be similar to Freeze Column in Excel. Is there a way to freeze column(s) in Integrity? Thank you, Cristina
I'm fairly new to PTC Integrity, but I was trying to create a custom user action that would allow us to select a member and open it in Windows explorer via right-click popup menu (or toolbar button). I've gotten as far as Viewset > Customize > Actions > Custom > Edit... so it looks like the following. Windows explorer will take a string parameter of "/select, " followed by a filepath. Is there a "variable" name that I can use here so it opens to the directory that the selected member is located? Or is this functionality already built in somewhere?? We are using Integrity 10. Any suggestions or help will be greatly appreciated.
Hi all,I would like to point out here in the community that under certain circumstances when working with ILM Workflow&Documents, set relationships can get lost if you remove a related item from a relationship field by drag and drop. In our case, every link in the backward relationship field is removed, not just those that you pull out with the mouse. This is all the worse because the user does not notice this because he does not see the backward relationship field at all.We reported this case to PTC, it could be reproduced, but PTC is of the opinion that this is not an error but "works as designed". The following article is available: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS274468In my opinion it is absurd to expect the customer to submit an idea and leave him (and other customers) alone with the risk of data loss in the meantime. kind regards, Jens
Dear community, We recently upgraded to ILM11.2 and using oracle db as repository. Due to several troubles with source files under linux OS[1] we tried to configure and use GIT integration. I'm not really familiar with GIT and so I have a few questions regarding the GIT integration. Is it possible to manage source code with the GIT integration? if "YES" is it possible to use the ILM client to manage (check out/in, checkpoint) the source files? if "YES" is there a proper description how2use the GIT integration with the ILM client? Where are the data stored for this source files? Is it possible to manage the linux files also in our oracle db? How could I create a project (configuration management) with linux files using the GIT integration? [1] - destroyed attributes on linux files. Means the attributes on the files are not the same after check in and out - big repositories (many files with s
Once a CBA is created that is linked to an Activity named act1, is it possible to changed the linked item of the CBA to a different Activity named act2? Or is the only option is to destroy the original CBA and create a new one linked to the new Activity?
I have a scenario where I would like to refresh the current item after a user selects a hyperlink. The hyperlink calls a webservice that results in an update to the original item. I would like the item to display the updated information after the processing is complete.
