Does anyone know how to delete a measurement  that you have saved in creo?I measured 2 surfaces using the measure tool analysis and now I can't figure out how to delete it.

Hello, So I have been trying to model a simple cam folower in mechanism with friction in mind. For that I was searching for the static friction parametre's expression to use it in a later equation. I can't seem to get any i dea on how to find it nether on Creo 6 or 8.Any Idea on how to find it ?Thanks in advance.

Good morning, warriors still using Simulate,  I just finished a thermal analysis and obtained nice plots of temperature profile and heat flux profile. Since the heat flux at one contacting surface is not uniform, it is difficult to calculate the heat flow power through that surface. Is there a way now in Simulate to get the average heat flow power at a surface. I know Fluent has it, because I have been using it in another simulation job (for a different company. Note: I am working concurrently for different employers). Thanks for any hints. Best regards. JS

Hi everyone,I'm running Pro/E wildfire 4 on my laptop which is running Windows 7. I'm having the problem where if I leave Pro/E open before I put the computer to sleep, upon waking up the computer the Pro/Engineer warning message pops up saying "Unsaved data may have been lost". Everytime I put my computer to sleep and wake it up, an additional pop up appears. If I have more than 2 warning messages, I can't click ok on any of them and I have to force quit Pro/EI attached a screen shot to this thread.Does anyone know a solution for this?Thanks

A force of 1000 kg is exerted in the center of this plate. To simplify the simulation, I use the mirror symmetry function. Hi there, I've been having a bit weird issue. I'm using Section Views in postprocessing, and it keeps messing with the color representation of selected values (as seen on images below). When I tilt the surface to some extent, the colors are OK, but as I'm moving it back to perpendicular view, the colors change as if there was weird light reflection going on (which probably is). I have tried to turn off the lights in Scene Editor, but it did literally nothing for the Flow Anaylsis modue, as if it had some lightning on it's own.  Any suggestion what might be wrong?Thanks

When the stress-strain response of the material is defined as "Linear"; under what conditions one must activate the "plasticity" for the simulation. Static simulations with linear material responses are considered "small deformation" theory.If plasticity or large deformation does not exist when using linear material responses, why not black out this function.

I am using Creo Simulate Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.4.0A contact interface with infinite friction on a pin allows material compenetration and gives skewed deformation results. I tried switching from component-component to surface-surface but reached the same results. The issue happens on a particular pin in a specific location, so I tried to delete and re-create the interface but no changes. The geometry is correctly highlighted in yellow on "review geometry" and the mesh completes without problems. Any Ideas on why it is happening?

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 6.0 (connected) Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.3.0I am working on a spring pin connection to a pcb device. There are two cases in question an both applies this problem the first is when perfect alignment to the via hole occurs. For this case deformation should occur on the edges that the pin contacts the pc yet instead of that overlapping between both assemblies occurs. On the other case the alignment is not with the via but instead only on the plating (similar to an indentation process ) but the pin tip also instead of penetrating and deforming the surfaces the results show overlapping once again

Let me first try to explain the issue. The below graphs are the pressure forces observed in Creo flow analysis (Figures 1 and 2). When I compare these results to the hand calculations  (Figure 3) I made, there is a stark difference. But when I compare the hand calculations to the reaction force (Figure 4) I see in ANSYS (which uses the pressure distribution from Creo flow analysis), the values have a smaller percent difference. I also have ensured that the unit system is correct (Figure 5). So I guess my question is: Are pressure force and reaction force the same?

Hello all,  I would like to simulate a column steel plate supported on a concrete slab. The load is in the downward direction so basically the steel plate induces compression on the concrete surface. Material definition in CREO simulate, seems oriented to metals only? I tried defining the stress-strain relationship of concrete with 3000 psi strength but I haven't been successful. Is anyone aware of any work-around for brittle materials?  Thank you

How to interpret it?1: Design-3 is the best? 2: Never trust Quick-Check (QC) and Single-Pass Adaptive (SPA)?3: Always run Multi-Pass Adaptive (MPA)? Thanks.JS
